My granddaughter really wanted a horse cake for her birthday. Once again Kristen did not disappoint! Cake was beautiful and as always, it was super yummy.

I have been ordering from Cakes By Kristen for a couple years now for all sorts of occasions. I have used her for birthday cake pops to baby shower cakes. She has always had exceptional customer service with my orders. All her baked goods have fantastic flavor and freshness! I highly recommend her to anyone who wants a great looking and great tasting baked good.

I ordered this Nerf cake from «Cakes by Kristen» (refer to the 10 photos I posted). It looks nothing like the cake I requested! She charged me $ 75, which I happily prepaid upfront via PayPal since it was a custom order. I was beyond mortified with her end product. When I informed her that the Nerf sign fell off and the letters were sloppy, she offered me only a $ 15 refund. But after much consideration, I decided to request a «full refund» as I could not use this cake with its appearance and condition since the fondant was dry and cracking, and the toy darts were starting to fall off! All this within an hour of receiving the cake. When I proceeded to message her again via Facebook, I was unable to as she had blocked me from sending anymore messages. This woman is anything but a professional. She accused me of bullying and trying to get a «FREE» cake with my complaints. Subsequently, I have sent her an email with photos of the new cake and cupcakes I had to purchase along with my receipts to show her what she was accusing me of doing was anything but… because why would I spend more money (nearly $ 85) if I was using her cake? Makes absolutely no sense at all and she is very mistaken if she thought I was «out for a free cake» (her own words). I have offered to return this awful cake to her in order to get my full refund. As of today 9/​7, I have not received a reply to this email that was sent on ⁹⁄₃. I would NOT recommend this woman to any consumer due to her lack of professionalism and customer service. I feel that she took my money for a product that was obviously beyond her skill set. She over promised and under delivered, which ultimately put me in a scramble to find a replacement. P. S…I wouldn’t even give this business one star, but I guess it wouldn’t allow me to go further with my review without at least that!

This lady finally gave me a full refund, only after I put a dispute in with PayPal that put a hold on her account. She ignored all my previous emails asking for a full refund. This refund of course didn’t come without an immature reply from this lady who lacks professionalism.
Here is an excerpt from her response to my PayPal dispute: «It is apparent that you desperately need the remaining $ 59.45, (since you already received a refund of $ 15)…That said, your constant communication, threats of „buyer beware,“ and this latest communication with PayPal has indicated that this may just really be about you needing the money more so than not being happy with a paid service.»

We have hired Kristen numerous times in the past four years to do cakes for birthdays, graduations, and holidays. The cakes are always gorgeous and exactly what I was hoping for! On top of that, they taste amazing and the price is always right. We have also ordered cookies, breads, pies, and other treats from time to time. I left Child’s Bakery when I found Cakes by Kristen — HIGHLY RECOMMEND! I posted photos of 3 cakes she has done for us — my favorite is the Elsa Frozen cake!

Cakes, pies, cookies etc. This lady can bake!, her baked food do not taste like factory, or store bought items. They all taste homemade like mom would make. My birthday cake was huge! I had almond and amaretto flavors. It was a sparkly but sophisticated beauty! Try Kristen’s chewy chocolate chip cookies and chocolate covered strawberries. I have never been disappointed by taste or appeanace of any baked goods we have order. 2 years ago I had major surgery And had forgotten about Valentines day for my family and friends. It was a very late and last minute order. Kristen came through with chocolate strawberries and the sweetest valentines cupcakes! She is a very honest buissness owner.we.keep.coming back for more! You HAVE to order the chewy chocolate chips! To die for, yum!
