Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers

Don’t usually write reviews for fast food chains, but I’ve been here twice now over the course of the last year or so, and both times my thought has been «This is a really solid burger, why don’t I come here more often?» Definitely still falls into the ‘fast food’ category, but it’s on the verge of falling into fast casual quality. Definitely a step up from Wendy’s or McDonald’s. I think a good direct comparison is a place like Good Times.
–1 star for being a buck or two above what I feel like I should pay for this sort of burger. Even the entrée-​only price is $ 6+ for most of their sandwiches. But otherwise this place is solid. Burger, fries, and custard have all been great every time I’ve been here. Let’s just hope I can remember that next time I’m craving a greasy fast food fix.

My favorite restaurant is freddy’s. There food is amazing and the location is great. Freddy’s is the place to go for fast food.
The first reason I like Freddy’s is that the fries are awesome. The seasoning is controlled nicely. The cheeseburger is the bomb with the ketchup. My favorite part is the frozen custards. My favorite is the dirt and worms. Freddy’s food is the bomb.
Next, Freddy’s location is amazing. It’s good location brings lots of customers to eat like me. Also I can go any time I want to. Freddy’s location is the best.

This is fast food, nothing gourmet about it. The wait time to receive your food is long, but I’m not sure why because the food isn’t anything special. The prices are too steep for a greasy burger and shoe string fries. I will pass on this restaurant in the future and opt for cheaper restaurants if I’m in a hurry and stick to take-​out if I want something less greasy.
My kids wanted ice cream with candy mixed in but the prices were so outrageous we agreed to stop by the ice cream store across the street for the same thing at lower costs.

I go here at least once a month. I LOVE the fries — and the fry sauce. The burgers are pretty good too, but the fries are to die for.

To start with they are known for there burgers. I did not have one.
The custard was a two. But, the place was clean, help was nice, and they are known for burgers. SKIP THE CUSTARD.
I had the frozen custard. It was good, not great. DO NOT GET IT IN A CONE IF YOU WANT ANY TOPPINGS. They gave me my toppings in a separate cup. If you want topping get a cup. Cones are purchased, not fresh.
The place was clean, put the kitchen area was very crowded.

I love the string fries here and they give you a mound of them. Great burger and custard!

What’s more American than clogging your arteries with fast food burgers and frozen custard? Remind me of the Southeast!
I would say this is one of the closest Freddy’s to the apartment, by which all means, it not really close.
But the friendly service who always smiles, and asks if I want «pickles mustard and onions?» on every burger I order. I usually say no everytime, but it is the thought that counts.
They have fry seasoning for sale too, I say its worth putting on everything at home. A great spice investment.
Oh yea, the custard is fluffy and fatty– but pretty solid especially if you could care less how much saturated fat you consume daily. I guarantee a triple cheese combo cheese fries, and a large turtle concrete will surely be enough intake for 2 – 3 days.
It’s good food, I keep coming back for more, and it is relatively close to Krispy Kreme– how can you not win?
Beware of Pepsi products!

I have come here a couple of times and it is wonderful! I can say this is an awesome place to crave…

Been coming here since it opened. The California Triple is always awesome, the onion rings are very tasty and the desserts are perfect to finish the meal. The staff is always fast and friendly. A top notch place!

Burgers too thin, fries are great and deserts, when prepared correctly are excellent. That being said … customer service and management need further instructions or training. My husband has a hearing disability and PHD from serving his country. Me, I’m disabled as well. We’ve been asked to not return. Fine by us, but very sad way to do business.

Great place for a quick burger or a frozen custard. Their service was pleasant and quick which is what one expects when eating at fast food chain. Their Steak-​burgers are tasty and they include plenty of fries to accommodate your burger. Their concretes and shakes are a nice treat too.

I had lunch here yesterday and everything was very good for a fast food joint. It was clean and the service was very good, but don’t come here if you are planning on eating a healthy meal. Rather, you should come here to eat a fun meal like the bacon cheeseburger and fries that I had there. It is a great place to take the kids and it won’t break your wallet, so come out and enjoy.

The burger and shake combo is outstanding! The staff are super friendly. I also like the large amount of shoestring fries you get when you order. They do cost more than the McDonalds across the street but Freddy’s food is much better.

Burgers is OK but their frozen custard is out of this world… I love their chocolate chips, coconut and all of their nuts mixed together…

I never eat at Freddy’s anymore. Freddy’s is gross. At Freddy’s, there are many hairs in your food and ice cream. At dinner, I usually eat at home. Also, the hotdogs taste like slush. I do not like Freddy’s food at all.

Great employees, great food, and really great ice cream desserts.
I’ve been to one location near Barstow California, and now this one on Littleton, and it’s my new favorite go-​to place for fast food and fun!

Went through drive-​thru and interacted with a pleasant employee. The thing about Freddy’s I love is their happy employees.
Having frequently eaten In-​N-​Out Burger in the past, this is similar if not better!
Unfortunately can’t eat here frequently due to diet and workout restrictions, but on rest days, this is my reward ! Love my no. 6 with a chocolate shake!

We’ve eaten here 8+ times and keep coming back for the burger and custard combo. The burgers are fresh and tasty. Super thin patties with a nice selection of toppings including thick pickle slices, peppers, grilled or fresh onion, lettuce, tomato, sauerkraut, California sauce (ketchup and mayo), relish, and more.
The fries are shoestring with a nice salty seasoning. Extra tasty with the sauce.
The custard is a really nice texture. I am a fan of the turtle sundae and alternate between vanilla and chocolate or half and half. My husband loves the concrete with coconut and peanuts. They also have frozen Oreo and custard sandwiches for $ 0.99 with any meal.
We often choose to dine in as it has a cute 50’s style set up.

I’ve driven past these places so many times, but never stopped.
I usually never eat fast food, even those places claiming «made to order» or in this case, «Steakburger.»
We were starving and needed a quick bite, so I reluctantly agreed to try it.
First thing I noticed was $ 15.00 for two combo… yikes!
That is approaching real sit down restaurant prices and my combo was with a water.
As we approached the window, the nice cashier noticed we had a dog with us and offered a couple dog biscuits… Plus one star for service.
The food though… two stars.
The burger, though called «steak» was an average fast food hamburger.
The fries were those little thin things that take forever to eat and don’t dip well, even into their special «fry sauce.»
Sorry, I don’t plan on heading back soon unless I have a hungry dog with me.

OK, I must admit that I had never heard of Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers.
I wasn’t sure what to expect.
Interior — Wow! I loved the Red! Red isn’t my favorite color, but it works!
The inside is bright, cheery, and just fun! Reds, blacks, whites, open, roomy, and just inviting. It was also clean, which is not that common these days.
Menu — hamburgers, hotdogs, steakburgers, and fries, all Yummy!
I had the single, which is their regular «smashburger,» if you don’t mind me calling it that. It was very good! Thin, nicely cooked and seasoned too, with just enough sauce. The fries — WOW! I love their fries. I could order just an order of fries, and not feel guilty about it! Well, at least I wouldn’t think about it, while I enjoyed them, but maybe after.
Dessert — frozen custard, wonderful! — need I say more?!
Price — good, average prices today, won’t «break the bank.
Parking — this location has plenty of parking, so don’t worry about that.
Service — very good, plenty of people working, so you don’t have to wait. The employees were all very friendly.
Will we go back, you betcha!
