If you want to live some place where they tow the cars of residents on Christmas Eve, Hiline is the community for you! I have never written a negative review before after living in many apartment communities… but unfortunately have been pushed over the edge with questionable management practices and the poor treatment of residents. Without any warning or any signage, my car and multiple others were towed from a lot that wasn’t even full. As a new resident, I was looking forward to getting to know my neighbors… and Hiline made that happen! However, this ‘get together’ came to fruition 45 mins away(after an expensive Über) in line at a very sketchy impound lot in NE Denver. It turns out that multiple other residents had received the very same«Merry Christmas Tow» I had! Common courtesy and good management practices would have considered sending an email out to the residents explaining the parking challenges and offering proactive solutions before the towing binge commenced. SIGNAGE posted ANYWHERE in the parking lots warning of the potential for towing would have also been nice(and legal!) If there is a design flaw in the community that has created a parking shortage, they need to be addressing it and communicating in partnership with their residents, rather than just towing several cars each night. If you are thinking about living at Hiline and ever hope to have visitors, think twice! They will get towed like it’s an in season sport, without any signs to warn them of their upcoming hazardous & expensive journey to the faraway impound land. My suggestion as a gesture of good will to those who received the«Merry Christmas Tow» is for Hiline to credit the amount on the impound receipt on the next month’s rent. If there had been any communication, signage, a warning or open spots in the visitor parking area, I wouldn’t make this request or be so upset. I would like an equitable and amicable relationship with the apartment community, as it is terrible to constantly feel on edge in the place where you live and pay rent. #laststraw

Review current as of December 23, 2015: I was excited to move in, but seems like every day I get another unpleasant surprise. No dogs can even visit one time without paying a $ 400 fee, to include DNA sampling. Also, snow plowing to date has been very poor. The parking lots were not plowed before I went to work, and the main road wasn’t plowed at all. Next, the parking situation is terrible. As more people move in, fewer and fewer spots are available. And currently they have only six spots for guest parking, for the entire complex! Finally, the(mandatory) trash collection service is so picky that they frequently refuse to pick up items(boxes, more than one bag, etc.). Also, the«nice» gym has no gym wipes to clean the equipment. Yuck! *Dec 29 edit: I forgot to add that the original apartment of my choosing wasn’t available on time, so I was forced to either wait(which was impossible under my circumstances) or choose a more expensive one!

When we first were moving in we had concrete floors that had cracks all over them and it was unacceptable. Jessica, the manager, responded to our request and had plank floors and carpet put in the bedroom. Also I mentioned to Henry, an employee, that we had a plugged shower in our master shower and he came right over and unplugged it for us. Only negative is they still don’t have TV from Comcast or centurylink but I’m not sure that is their fault.
