It’s long past time for me to write a review of the finest eating establishment in Denver’s south metro. Some will disagree: «Los Dos Potrillos» they will exclaim! The service, the food, the weekend specials! «Maggiano’s» will be the rallying cry of another group, in love with the various sauces and entrees. Cup your hand to your ear, face north towards the Denver Tech Center and you will hear the chants of «Del Frisco’s» from the professionals and folks who find a trip to Greenwood Village is justly rewarded with an exemplary steak dinner and commensurate bill. But, I must disagree. For me, Phở 99 is the absolute best deal you can get in the south metro when it comes to quality, price, selection and service. Let me tell you why! 1) The Food: let’s get the most important part of the equation out of the way first. Phở 99’s menu is above rational criticism. First and foremost is there very large phở selection. Steeped in a delicious, light and traditional base, the famous Vietnamese broth is on point, always consistent and will nourish you like the best comfort food in the cold of winter and revitalize you during more seasonable weather. Feel no trepidation when trying the various bowls; traditional offerings replete with cuts of beef and tendon. The ligament and tripe are as savory as the tamer Western counterparts for those wanting to stick with the tried and true offerings of chicken or less exotic cuts of beef. Are you on a low carb diet? Phở 99 has you covered in a bowl filled with vegetables and meat sans their otherwise delicious and filling rice noodles. «But I don’t want Phở,» your inner voice may cry! That’s fine. Sometimes I don’t either. That’s when you try a mix of their other entrees, especially their incredible take on traditional Asian rice dishes, the vermicelli bowl or their Sesame Chicken. All of it is superlative. I have eaten at Phở 99 over 100 times in three years and I have NEVERONCE had an entrée or bowl that didn’t completely satisfy my expectations, whether I was going with a favorite(the number seven phở bowl or com dac biet, their rice combination plate) or trying something outside of my comfort zone(the phở do bien, their seafood phở special). And the portions! My goodness. They are LAVISH. A large phở or rice entrée is absolutely BRIMMING with goodness! Get a to-go order and feel the BURN of the weight dragging your arm down as you walk towards your car. The takeout boxes are absolutely stuffed to the very top. For 12 dollars after tax, you can get just about any entrée on the menu and easily feed 2 – 3 people for a very generous meal. You are getting 1950s portions and prices in 2016. The deserts are also superlative, as my daughter well knows. She lives out-of-state and comes to stay with me in the summer. The very first place we stop after leaving DIA is Phở 99. She has to have that chicken phở(which she can never even come close to finishing on her own) and a honeydew boba shake. The smile that plasters her face is only matched by my own knowing how much happiness Phở 99 has given my child for less than 15 dollars. I wish I could replicate it at Christmas! 2) The Service: This is a family-owned restaurant and they treat regular customers like they are a part of the clan. The wait-staff is very attentive, always stopping by to check on drinks and doing everything they can to make an already enjoyable experience even more so. The interior is tastefully designed, the mounted tvs are not obtrusive, the tables and booths are just the right distance from other patrons, the lighting is perfect. You can feel comfortable taking a business partner, friend, or date to Phở 99… I know, I have done all three, and my dinner companions have always left impressed and gratified. But I get more takeout than I do sit-down dining, and that aspect is just as pleasurable. Call your order in, and it will be ready in 10 – 15 minutes. The same if you walk in. If you get phở, it is always carefully packaged. The broth is sealed tight, the vegetables, noodles and meat(if you went that direction) are always carefully packed. Get two orders and you will find your very weighty and delicate bundle served up to you in a box, ready to make the drive home without spill or other takeout disasters being visited on your repast. Being on the border of Littleton and Highlands Ranch, Phở 99 is an oasis of independent goodness in a sea of mediocre franchises flooding the ubiquitous strip malls. I live in Highlands Ranch… and I am not happy about it. But that’s another story! Phở 99 is the one bright spot that mollifies me when I look north and dwell on how many fine eateries I am separated from by the gulf of distance and traffic of my current residence. And when I move… well, the trek to Pjho 99 is one I will gladly make, because I have tried over ten phở places between Wheat Ridge, Arvada, Denver and Aurora and Phở 99 is by far the best for the aforementioned reasons.

I ordered Vietnamese egg rolls, a combination noodle bowl, a Vietnamese iced coffee and a limeade drink. It was 2 of us and we shared. I wished there were more than 2 egg rolls in the appetizer, they were delicious! The noodle bowl had more noodles than lettuce which I liked. Usually it’s the other way around. It was also delicious. The drinks were great too. The coffee came with a tiny percolator and the limeade made me want to figure out how to make it at home. I will definitely be visiting this place again!

Consistently good phở. Incredibly friendly staff. Broth is what makes good phở, and theirs is very savory and balanced. Meatballs are huge and nicely sliced for picking up with chopsticks. Plenty of food for a reasonable price. These guys do it very well.

Great noodle bowls! I love the flavor of the broth and the noodles I have had are tender. Portions are huge! I get #7 bowl and the vermicelli combo bowl regularly. This has become a 3−4x month location for lunch when I am in Highlands Ranch. It is not perfect and at times seems under staffed, but the food is always delicious and filling! They have Vietnamese coffee too for those that enjoy it.

Great tasting phở restaurant. Only one in area but cool place. Nice décor and soft atmosphere. Definitely recommend this place. I’ll come here every time I’m in highlands ranch.

Best phở in Colorado! I come here weekly. I recommend ordering number 6, and maybe a side of their crab cheese wontons. Boba here is also good. But the phở is so freaking amazing! Serving size is massive which I love

Best phở in the south part of town. This is better than the phở at Streets of Southglenn. Phở 99 is reliable and always pretty good. Meat portions are generous which is something I like.

Great lunch time atmosphere. Friendly greeter at the door. The place is a mishmash of décor with an 80s/90s feel. The menu is all over the board with a mix of Asian cultures from Vietnam(obviously), China and Japan. I prefer a restaurant that’s named Phở 99 to stick with its roots and only perfect their Vietnamese dishes. The Phở noodles were over cooked and mushy. The 5 spice soup was bland. The Mongolian beef was extremely salty and the egg roll was soggy. Surprisingly, the place was packed as its a lunch crowd restaurant. And I’m also surprised at the ratings here on Unilocal.I guess the local Asian pallet is just way different than mine.

Another average phở place with your normal average food, menu, staffing, and environment.(still got the 80s feel to it, I dig it.) Came here for a group meeting, everyone seemed to enjoy their food. The phở here is average. No complaints but nothing to rave about either. It was conveniently located to where I was at the time so it was a group consensus to come here. Personally, I wouldn’t go out of my way to come here, any other phở place will do the job.

Love this place. Been here twice, once for lunch and once for dinner. Always friendly, fast, fresh and tasty! They give a very generous serve of mint, bean sprouts, jalapeño and lime to have in the phở. The seafood phở does over cook slightly if you don’t eat all the seafood straight away but you know you’re ordering seafood in hot liquid so it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to work out that might happen

Best phở we have ever had, after tasting some in three different states! The broth is unctuous and light, and was so full of flavor that sauce additions are not even needed. The service was very quick, the portion sizes are generous(a medium bowl of phở was too much to finish) and the side toppings are fresh and plentiful. For phở newbies and connoisseurs alike, this place is a must-try!

Solid! Much like their sister restaurant(Phở 79 on Havana), this place is fast, clean, and delicious! I highly recommend the Combination Vermicelli Bowl!

My wife and I come here often, the food is fantastic and the service is super fast. The price is great too, makes for an awesome quick dinner that’s a great value. We have eaten at several other Phở places but we think this is the best we have ever had. A + — best Phở in Denver.

My best friend and I are regulars here, hands down the best Phở within 15 miles of Highlands Ranch! We can’t get enough. And the Boba is delicious. We went here a couple weeks ago and we’re catching up for hours. We lost track of time and noticed almost everyone was gone, we ended up talking in the parking lot and noticed all the employees come out 20 min. after we left, we felt so bad for staying so late, but they never said anything, didn’t rush us, or tell us they were closing and we had to leave. They’re always incredibly friendly and the service is fast. They also sell a bunch of really cool odds and ends and my favorite car fresheners, so that’s cool :-) you can do take out, which I love, and that’s also very fast. Great atmosphere, always clean and amazing service.

Wanted to eat Phở for lunch after my pedicure and this place was recommended by Wanda at the Cashmere Salon. So glad I took her recommendation! The restaurant wasn’t far from the salon and it had lots of free parking, was clean and the service was wonderful! Calina and I decided to get the Phở 99 Littleton Special for Two People. It included an order of Vietnamese Egg Rolls, two medium size Phở’s, and two drinks(wine, beer, or Boba drink) for $ 26.95. The egg rolls were crunchy and very tasty. I ordered the rare steak and Calina ordered the rare steak with meatballs. The broth was very flavorful even without adding anything to it. The plate of fresh bean sprouts, basil, limes and jalapeños was plentiful. All the bottles at the table were full and the spouts clean. The service was great and the prices were very reasonable. Will definitely be coming back!

Phở 99 Littleton, CO… Hubs is working nearby, and after work, I ask him to order our DINNER from Phở 99. This recent visit was on Tuesday January 13th2015. Time was about 17:40hrs ish. YES, this establishment is kept clean and the service is prompt and our food order TOGO is ready rather«quickly». Is this a good sign? Hmm… From their extensive Menu, we opt to have the following items : * Sesame Chicken($ 10.95) * #10 Phở Shrimp aka(Phở Tom)(SMALL)($ 7.45) YES the items are packed properly in all those Disposable White Styrofoam Containers. In terms of the food, they tend to «STUFFED» or «PACKED» everything, especially for my Phở Shrimp order, aka«NOSEPARATION» of the Shrimp, from the Noodles, and other Herbs etc. *SIGH* YES, in the Phở Container, they put the Vietnamese Basil, Bean Sprouts, Green Onions aka Scallions, 2 Wedges of Lime, Slices of Raw White Onions, and several cuts or slices of Jalapenos. But when we reached home, I was a little let down. For the Phở Broth, it was just OK. The Broth did not have the depth flavor I am used to from other Phở establishments in town. The«BROTH» DIDNOTWOW me at all. In terms of the number of Shrimp, it was rather«skimpy». Hubs ordered the Sesame Chicken, though he specifically ask for EXTRASPICY, it was NOTSPICY at all. In the Sesame Chicken TOGO «container», they also put slices of Cucumber and Pickled Julienned Carrots and Daikon. When I taste the Sesame Chicken, err for one, it does NOT taste like any Chicken at all. The Battered was overdone and some of the Chicken pieces tends to be «dry». Nothing to write about from their«WOKCLASSIC» Menu. A little let down though. Maybe we ordered the wrong items from the Menu. Maybe this is an isolated incident. Maybe… Hence, we don’t think we want to drive all the way down south, for Phở. But we don’t mind to return and perhaps that next time, my review my differ coz there are other dishes that we want to try. Perhaps our next mission shall continue, if we are in this part of Neighborhood to search for that Phở establishment that can«offer some competition», aka«run for its money» with the ones located along Federal Blvd, or in Aurora itself. Just take note, for TOGO orders each item of order will cost an additional of $ 0.25. Hence the total cost for our Dinner TOGO with tax was $ 21.85. Phở 99 Littleton, Colorado, opens DAILY from 10:00am to 9pm. Do call in advance in case their operation time changes without notice. Phở 99 Vietnamese Noodles & Grill 211 E.
