McAlister’s Deli

McAlister’s Deli is an outstanding choice to have a sandwich and soup for lunch. Customize a baked potato as well. This restaurant has a large amount of menu choices and after being there more times than I can count, I can honestly say I’ve never had a bad meal there. This particular location gets very crowded at times, so it’s best to go when you can have a friend or family member anchor a table to eat at for your group. Haven’t visited the drive-​thru yet, so I plead the fifth on that. It does get noisy inside at peak times, but if you go at an offtime of the day, you can avoid the rush of customers. Plan ahead and enjoy your time there.

I love me some McAllister’s deli the McAllister’s club is one of my favorite sandwiches to get and I really enjoy the tortilla soup this location is clean and friendly always fast and courteous. Also really enjoy whenever they have the pot roast spud, but it’s normally during winter months.

We’re the only car in the drive through… And we have been sitting here for 30 minutes, yet haven’t been given our food yet. This is literally the slowest drive through I’ve ever been through in my life… It’s 3:40 so it’s not busy at all. I don’t know what they’re doing in there, but they are obviously not working. We only ordered 2 sandwiches and 2 drinks. I love Mccallister’s, but this location is SO slow. I feel bad for the person behind me in the drive through line. They won’t get their food for another hour probably. Definitely won’t be returning to this location!
The food is good! Don’t get me wrong, but the poorly trained/​managed staff is not worth supporting. You’d be better off going to the nice one off ²⁸¹⁄₁₆₀₄.

This place is so unorganized and the food is not worth sitting ontop of each other while others standing in line breathing down on you to, big fail to the design and big fail to poorly trained staff.

There always seems to be something wrong with this location. The food from McAlister’s is great but the staff is a mess. I always place my orders through their website or app with details in regards to any «special request» and it works great, but what doesn’t is the fact that they will not split a check for you through the drive through pick up line. They ask you to go in and do it at the register which by the way is only steps away from the drive through window. The whole purpose of ordering ahead is to drive through and pick up not go inside. I try to give locations second chances but I don’t think I will be returning after finding a piece of yarn/​hair on club today. What the heck is that part of? I’ve added a picture for viewing, gross. What a waste of money and appetite!

My company has me in the area for the week and today I was feeling a sandwich. Upon a recommendation I wound up here!!! The only thing I’m sad about is that I live in Georgia and there are none there!!! The Mac and cheese is fresh and delicious, the lemonade sweet and delicious, the sandwich as advertised. I know I’ll come here a few more times between now and Saturday.
Also I’d be refused if I didn’t mention the service was friendly and they guided me through the menu when I mentioned being a first time customer. A++

Over priced, horrible service. Cashier rang up my order and incorrectly 3 times. Thought I walked away from the register with everything sorted out but still received the incorrect order… Too hungry to care at that point. Also they were out of pickle spears and failed to let us know. Then when we asked for pickles, we were laughed at by the staff… Horrible experience would not recommend unless you have the patience of a saint and like overpriced food. Wish I could rate 0 stars.

Tired to place an order on Sunday 20/​MAR/​16 night around 8:40 pm and first no one would pick up then I was put on hold and the young lady never came back.

Food was good. We got it to go. But the place is filthy. Especially the bathrooms. Like old gas station gross.

Unfortunately, this location seems a lot different than the others. I usually visit a store in San Antonio; but tonight I went to the Live Oak spot. My sandwich was wrong twice, and the staff was less than pleased when I requested what I ordered. We’ll go somewhere else next time.

The cashier was friendly. The food was okay
We ordered the grill cheese. Nothing fancy. I am not sure why we keep giving this place another chance should of went to four kings.

Well i don’t really know how to start this review. We came to mcalisters i love it here but this time i was disappointed. Our plates were dirty i had to clean our own table with a napkin and sanitizer. Trying not to let it ruin my dinner but i just might go somewhere else next time. Sorry mcalisters i loved it here.

I love this location. It’s really close to my job and they always have great food for lunch. I eat here 2 – 3 times a week for lunch! And I always do the review for the free cookie!

The staff at this particular store are either poorly trained or highly disinterested. The young man that took our order couldn’t answer a simple question my wife had for him, and the young lady that was supposed to call out my name for the to go order seemed lost and intimidated. I knew it was my order so I went for it, she just walked away with no words.
The only «Thank you, have a nice day! «came from me as I walked toward the door. All this would be somewhat forgivable if it where an above average Deli, but that’s about all it is. AVERAGE.

I came across this place thanks to my coworkers who are all very health wise and choose deli’s over fast food places. They seem to order this quite often. Anything here is good. If you haven’t already tried this place out or are unfamiliar with McAllister’s then you definitely need to make the time to go check them out. My favorite is the chicken Caesar salad wrap. Their chicken Caesar salad is pretty good. Honestly there isn’t anything I have tried that I haven’t liked. They have soups, sandwiches, salads and many other things. Their peace sweet tea is thee best! The strawberry lemonade is a little too sweet for me. But very good nonetheless. They have a drive thru window where if you ordered ahead you can just drive up to the window and pick up your order. Makes it quick and easy if you want to grab a quick lunch to go.

Literally watched the bus boy pick up food off the table and grab a napkin to wipe off the table for the next customer, unsanitary! I walked out immediately. Employees looked bored and uninterested. Go elsewhere.

I ate here with my husband once. I got the orange cranberry turkey. It was really yummy! So was their soup! I see all of the bad reviews and will keep it in mind not to try this place if I am short on time.
Sounds like maybe they need to train their employees better, but I really liked my good. So did my husband.

I usually order the McAlister’s Club Wrap, which is pretty reliable and tasty, along with regular Lay’s chips. They give you a huge cup for your drink but also plenty of ice, which can water things down if you take too long to finish it. They have only gotten my order wrong once (they brought me the sandwich version instead of the wrap) but I usually eat here at least once a week and haven’t had any issues since.
PROTIP: It can get crowded around lunch, so call ahead or use the app if you’re time-​sensitive.
Staff is friendly, usually smiling, and I haven’t been hassled to leave after I’ve finished the meal and just want to finish a chapter in whatever book I’m reading at the moment. Staff clears the table for you, so you don’t have to mess with «doing the dishes» (taking your tray to the garbage.)
This is a weekly destination for me, so you know it’s gotta be good. (The food seems reasonably healthy, as well.)
Parking may be an issue — there was actually a sign on their door a few weeks ago that said the restaurant next door was using a $ 300 towing service (!) which made me resolve to *not* patronize that next-​door fast-​food establishment in the future. FYI

My co worker and I work at Randolph AFB and we decided to go to lunch at McAlister because he said the food was good. Well, we placed our order and we waited. We asked what the status was and we were told that it would out shortly. After about 25 minutes, it finally was served. We had to take it to go because our lunch hour was ending. I will never go back for lunch and tell everyone I know to skip this place.

I ordered my food on my phone to pick up on my home from work. The app said my food would be ready in twenty minutes. I arrived at the time that my order was expected to be ready. No one greeted me when I came near the CALL IN/​PICKUP area like they do at Zio’s Italian or Jason’s Deli. The staff never spoke to me until I came to PICKUP counter to ask when my pick up order would be ready. They found my order on the computer and the young lady had me pay for it. She didn’t look for my order until after I paid for it. Not sure I will be coming back here again until they retrain the staff or it is featured on Undercover Boss.
