We ordered mochas and an egg, cheese and bacon sandwich. The mocha was just ok and the sandwhich was a joke. The egg sandwich was on a muffin slightly larger than a silver dollar. At first we thought they forgot the egg but then noticed there was a thin layer brushed onto the muffin. The bacon was not crispy and more fat than meat. I will not order another sandwhich.

Came this coffee shop after dinner. I ordered the cappuccino. This is one of the best cappuccino I never had in the US. I highly recommend this place.

I’ve been here a few times now and have always been impressed. Their staff are always friendly and welcoming. The interior of the place is light and relaxing, it makes you want to just sit down and read a book or chat with friends. Their lattes are rich, creamy, and delicious every time. Perfect balance so they are actually not overly sweet. It’s so refreshing to have a nice local place I can walk to with great coffee! I haven’t tried the pastries myself — however I will say they do look delicious! I would say my main downside is that the coffees are somewhat overpriced, but if you feel like a quality drink then it’s worth it.

Great atmosphere, personable staff, good tasting coffee. There is a lot to like here, I’d like it much better though if the drinks were hot when served… they tend to be a little cooler than I prefer, especially when served in a porcelain mug, my preferred choice…

Great to have an option to the huge corporate coffee places. Price is right, service professional, coffee excellant, I‘m no fan of fancy lattes or cappuccinos. Just good basic coffee. Plenty of space to relax and read a good book or paper. They should really look into adding some sandwiches. That would bring in more business IMO. You‘re in for a treat if served by smurfett.. .

Interesting café situated in livermore downtown. Upon arrival I found out they are also a roaster! Their coffee is decent and the environment is very relax. I can probably spend hours in the café if I didn’t have to run errands. They also sell souvenirs such as tshirts with their own prints.

I love this place because you can get great coffee in a nice atmosphere without any attitude, a rarity these days. The espresso drinks here are phenomenal! I especially love the little«truffle» drinks they offer. My husband gets an Americano and it’s always just right. The baristas are skillful and very friendly and offer quick service without rushing you. The location and atmosphere are perfect as well, there is plenty of room so if you want to linger while you visit with a friend, read a book or just watch the passers by you don’t feel crowded or like someone is waiting on you to leave. So happy to have this place in my home town!

This may very well be my new favorite coffee+work station. Love the downtown corner, semi-industrial looking location with neat subway tiles, huge windows, and wood seating. I looove the room I’m hooked up in – desk, chair, wall outlet, tucked away from the register & espresso machines, free Wi-Fi & the ability to have amazing coffee while I work. Lots of goodies for coffee fans who want to take home mugs, locally roasted beans, French presses, t-shirts, Monin syrups of all kind, and to stare at while you place your orders, little red tea teapots.

I like the ambiance and the coffee except it’s at least 15−20% more expensive than Peets or Panama Red. Also the new way of starting the line from the pastry case makes no sense to me. If someone wants just coffee one should be able to get coffee without a schpiel about the pastries. I asked the barista about this peculiar customer service«innovation» and was told it was because so that«we can show you pastries«. Thanks but no thanks. sounds like an up sell plot to me.

The best thing about Espresso Rosetta is that it isn’t a «try hard» coffee shop. It’s cozy with a great atmosphere, but the focus here is on good coffee, and not how many acoustic music show posters you can get on a wall. You place your order at the counter and then follow your barista to their workstation to fill your order. I thought that was a nice touch since the workstations are open and easy to see, making the process very visual. The staff is very friendly and helpful as well. I had the Pumpkin Spice Latte and a house coffee with no cream or sugar. Very different drinks, but both were very good. The pumpkin spice, unlike a lot of coffee shops, was subtle and not sickeningly sweet. However, the true mark of a coffee shop, in my opinion, is their black house roast and Espresso Rosetta shines there as well. Allow yourself adequate time, as the line can get backed up fairly quickly. Not a bad thing, just the result of the time involved in making very good coffee.

I have a new favorite coffee shop. I love coffee, but my stomach doesn’t. All too often, I’ll be drinking my favorite beverage, only to feel bloated or achy afterwards. Espresso Rosetta’s coffee is smooth and wonderfully mild. As I sipped my delicious rose-flavored latte(that’s right, in addition to the usual repertoire of flavors, there’s also exotic goodies such as rose and lavender), I found that it settled quite nicely in my stomach, and left me feeling pleasantly warm and quite satisfied! Also, I love the ambiance in here. It reminds me of San Francisco or Europe. It’s trendy without being downtrodden, and is well lit, with a private little room in the back that has noise-blocking walls that seem to keep out the worst of the grinders. Plus, this coffee shop, like Panama Red and the Starbucks on Airway, has a Satellite branch of the Friends of the Livermore Library inside – the window sills are lined with books that you can read or, for fifty cents or a dollar each, take home. Drink wonderful, European-style coffee while supporting your local library. It doesn’t get much better than that. Also, the prices are quite reasonable, too! I may have to come here again, and again, and again, and again… :D

I have lived in the area for going on 10 years and have finally found a Coffe shop that has their ducks in line. I enjoyed a pizzetta and a sweetened mocha. The service was great. The crew are friendly, smiley, thoughtful baristas. I was most impressed with time and knowledge they put into making my drink. Overall excellent service, easy to find parking and close to everything downtown. I highly recommend frequenting this gem.

Came by for a mocha the other day and it was okay. At $ 4.5, pricing was on the high side. Espresso was very smooth and there was plenty of foam and latte art. Temperature of the beverage was decent as well. Service at the counter was friendly and they also have punch cards where you get a free drink after buying 10. …the mocha didn’t come out too sweet, but was rather bland… The interior of the coffee shop was pretty large and plenty of tables to get some work done.

Thought I’d do more Livermore exploration and found this place. I parked along the street with ease on a Sunday morning. Now even though there were Saturday night cigarette butts everywhere on the ground, my attention was diverted towards the aroma of strong expresso! That’s always a plus, imo. Kinda like smelling the smokiness of ribs outside a barbeque joint. Two seat tables outside, bar stools inside, small traditional wooden tables, and even a row of theater seats. Pretty cool! Oh wait, and there was another room in the back I consider a dungeon that housed more seating and privacy. Need to focus and study? Well this just may be perfect hideout(check out my pics). Overall, the inside appears comforting. So, what did I order: ~ A latte with 2 shots of expresso($ 4.50). Was it frothy? Yes! Was it too sweet? No, thank goodness! Was it bold? No, it’s a latte. Did I enjoy it? Of course. Did my coffee have a friend or two? Indeed! ~ Coffee friends: Lemon scone($ 1.50) and a bear claw($ 2.50). I don’t think they were made there, but I enjoyed them. Service: ~ No issues. The two baristas up front were really nice and helped me out since this was my first visit. In closing: ~ supporting the locals, check! ~ pics for Unilocal(even though I’ve got a grumpy old lady grinning at me:), check! ~ reviewed on Unilocal, check! ~ I’ll be back, and maybe even frequently.

I think peet’s coffee has finally met their match. I happened by this place by chance, on my way to peet’s, and decided to try it out! The store itself is just gorgeous – light, open space; pleasant music in the background, comfortable seating, and it is honestly just huge. I went around 1pm and was the only customer, but I assume it is busier in the morning. When I entered I was immediately greeted by the only barista in the store, she was super friendly and talkative. I ordered a non fat vanilla latte, it was delicious. The milk was perfectly creamy, the foam on top was perfect and surprisingly rich even though it was nonfat! In my opinion, it was not over priced at all! A syrup only costs 30 cents, where it is 50 cents at peet’s. They have an interesting selection of syrups as well, choices like rose and ammaretti, however I’m not too sure how rose flavored coffee would taste… lol The only issue is they don’t really have sizes to choose from, but I guess since this is an artisanal coffee shop its not really a problem. The pastry selection looked tasty! I didn’t order one myself, however, since we were planning on getting lunch soon after. I am definitely impressed! Next time I am in downtown Livermore I will stop by for another latte.

I can by here to kill some time before my session in Livermore. Let me start by saying it’s not a terrible place. The ambiance is great, lots of light, unique combination of antique seating and modern lighting. What I was disappointed about was the quality of the food and the supposed americano. The Pizzetta I ordered looked aesthetically pleasing but when heated, the crust became cracker-hard. The iced americano was also disappointing to have seen poured from a pitcher. This is the first time an americano has been made in this way and I feel like maybe the barista just forgot that I wanted an iced americano instead of an iced coffee? That being said, the coffee was just okay. I would like to come back just to be sure my taste buds aren’t deceiving me. 3 stars overall.

I had a cappuccino and a maple scone. As they claim, there was no need to sweeten my drink. The flavor was rich but not overbearing. The scone was large and filling(mine contained walnuts, a pleasant surprise). The building is clean with lots of natural light. The high ceilings, iron beams, and exposed brick give it a modern, industrial feel. Simple, tasteful décor. I appreciate knowing that they source locally!

Wonderful new café in Livermore on the corner of 2nd and S J. The staff if super friendly and we were welcomed happily the minute we walked in the door. Note: one of the best baristas in town is crafting the drinks this morning. You may recognize her! :) All of the drinks are served in porcelain cups. Very earth friendly! My cappuccino was one of the very best I’ve had. The foam art is something you don’t get just anywhere. It’s special touches like that which take you out of the mundane day to day and into a special realm of celebrating life’s small joys. You deserve delicious art in a porcelain cup! The café is beautiful, open, and airy. As this is the soft opening weekend they are testing the waters. Don’t be alarmed at the limited pastry selections for now… This is day two! Stop on by and become a part of the foundational clients to what looks to be a promising new café in lovely little Livermore.
