I’ve been here twice, and both times I got the vegetarian combo plate. All your mid-eastern faves in one place: hummus, baba ganoush, taboulleh, pickles, pita, and yes some falafel. I’m not sure the falafel is truly raging, or just a bit peeved but it is quite tasty– relatively high on the sesame content which gives it a nice crunch. One piece of advice, ask for an extra pita, and some extra pickled turnips because they’s da bomb. Ambiance is not much — just a small dining room and a couple of outdoor tables. I honestly feel like the veggie combo plate is the best value on the menu — the various other meatier wraps and plates are in the $ 9 – 11 range which is kind of expensive for lunch. Update Jan 2016– Unfortunately the Falafel are no longer Raging. Place is closed, to be replaced by a Vietnamese sandwich shop.

Loved this place, some of the best falafel I’ve had — and definitely the best option in Livermore. I got a falafel plate to go from here a few weeks back, and I’ve been thinking about it ever since. Perfectly cooked & crispy falafel, delicious homemade hummus, nice little salad, delicious hot sauce, and a surprisingly good baba ganoush(which I’m not usually a fan of). The interior is casual but clean, the family running the place was super friendly, and the food was great. One of the better food options in Livermore, and for a good price. Can’t complain one bit.

Came here two days in a row with my girlfriend! Make sure you get the spicy option. It’s not really that spicy– it just adds flavor to the dish. We got the chicken plate and the lamb plate on both days. The protein in both dishes are very good, but the hummus and the baba ganoush really put the whole plate together. Make sure you get the fries! I thought they were okay, but my girlfriend thought that they were the best fries that she has ever had. We also ordered the Falafel on the second day that we went. My girlfriend had read somewhere that their falafel is dry. It was actually really crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. It was seasoned just right. We were satisfied after splitting the 6-piece option. It is a bit of a drive for us, but we want to stop by more often.

I haven’t yet tried the falafel. I had a beef plate and this review pertains to that. The hummus was good, as was the baba ganoush. The lettuce salad was alright, but I didn’t go there for lettuce. The beef itself was OK, tasted good but not special. There were just two pieces of turnip pickle on the plate and the pita was alright. I would eat here again. I would like to try the falafel and the lamb, especially in wrap form. But I do think it’s a bit overpriced.

They had me at «do you want it spicy» Beef plate spicy, comes with all the goods; Babaganoush, hummus, mediteranean salad with some homemade pickles and a few other homemade chutneys. Piping hot pita on the side of course. The food is extremely fresh and presented flawlessly. A must try when in Livermore and wanting some Mediterranean/Middle eastern food

One of the best falafel in the east bay. Unlike other falafel shops where meats are usually overcooked, the chicken and lamb are flavorful and tender in this. Like their hot sauce and Tahiti sauce too. The staffs are friendly and attentive.

Pros: Good location with excellent customer service. Halal served here! Cons: Could really use a fountain drink machine. Serving people cans sends a bad signal. I ordered the chicken wrap. The chicken was deliciously seasoned but that was not enough to shine through and it ended up being a very bland dish. I would probably go here again but this time for the chicken plate instead. the plates are close to ten dollars.

Excellent! A must visit. They have many options and everything was good. The falafel wrap and falafel plate were both good. The fries are a must! Friendly staff. We will definitely be back.

ONELINEREVIEW: «Nice people, bad & overpriced food.» It’s hard to go against the grain with all these positive reviews, but I had a bad experience here. Came around 6pm on a Friday. Place is completely empty but ok it’s dinner time and it’s not exactly a dinner spot. They were very friendly in greeting us and being pleasant, which is why it’s hard for me to write a negative review. First thing they informed us they were out of chicken. Alright… we had a Falafel wrap and a beef wrap. The falafel wrap was not bad, better than average. The Beef Wrap was just horrid. I have a feeling they were out of beef as well but didn’t want to admit it. It was inedible, could not chew it because it was all tendon. It was just bad meat. Not sure whey they would risk serving something like that. Both the falafel and the steak seemed to have just been warmed-up and wrapped. We also had fries, those were ok. But we saw that they just grabbed a handfull of cold fries from the fridge(out of a paper bag) and dropped it into the fryer(no gloves). Based on my only experience here, I wouldn’t go back nor would I recommend it.

If you’re looking for a great tasting and fresh ingredients while your in the valley area, this is your go to spot… We were passing through town while on a road trip and were craving some traditional middle eastern breakfast, and this place was one of the top rated reviews on Unilocal so we stopped by. And we glad we did. The menu and food proportions is not similar to what we are used to but we didn’t mind just as long as the food was comparable. Overall great place and really good food.

A great place to get a quick lunch. I usually order a plate(lamb or beef), which comes with a small salad, hummus, a pita, and baba ganoush. The food is flavorful and more than enough for a lunch. I ask for a cup of water and haven’t received it yet.

Obsessed. The first time my boyfriend had brought this home, we ended up eating it twice for dinner in the week. As of now I’m eating it like twice a month. These are literally the best falafels I have ever had. They are huge in size and I love their crunch! The hummus is delish and sometimes I even find myself craving the mini salad their falafel plate comes with! Tips: sometimes the baba ganoush is too smokey. It takes away from the flavor and can be distracting. Also, perhaps look into getting a little more décor inside, or adding a little more to the menu– maybe some fun beverages, etc.

This place was so nice my wife and I had to eat here twice. Their small selection of food is amazing. On the first day, my wife and I had the lamb and beef plates, respectively. The spices in their meats are like no other Mediterranean restaurant I have been to; the meat tastes like what I would find in a very good Ethiopian restaurant, or what my parents would make for dinner. There is also something special about the mix of oils and spices that go into the hummus in our plates: Yum! There is even an extra special mix of spices — from the salad, hummus, and lamb or beef — when we finished off the remainder of our plates. Yum Yum! It is also worth getting an extra pita bread(very fresh) or two to scoop up what you can’t finish with a single pita. On the day after, we also had their very crispy and fresh falafels, and their baklava is very good too. I also apologize for not having any corroborating photos; the meals were so savory I could not muster the patience to take pictures.

First of all, Raging Falafel sounds like an ailment. Had to get that out of the way. I stopped by last Saturday to pick up lunch and see what this place is all about. I ordered the Falafel Wrap($ 7.49) and the Chicken Shawarma Plate($ 9.49). I felt the wrap was too dry and the size was on the small side. However the plate was delicious and was a very generous portion. The service was friendly but unfortunately it took quite a while for my food to come out. All that being said, I will definitely return and try some of their other menu items. Rage on!

Fantastic, flavorful, falafel with friendly service! I just wish I could have had more of it. We came in towards the end of the lunch rush and they only had enough falafel for a wrap and had ran out of lamb(they were in the process of making more). Limited choices makes for easy decisions so a falafel wrap and chicken shawarma wrap made the cut. Plus a piece of baklava for a sweet treat. Both of our wraps were excellent. Full of flavor with the crisp freshness of chopped tomatoes, lettuce, and pickles. The baklava was absolutely delicious with the essence of rose and orange. This place has only been open for a couple of weeks and I think they are still working out the volume of food needed for peak times. Raging Falafel shows much promise in the quality and flavor of their food and I am excited to go back to try other items.

Very good! The fattoush is light and fresh. The falafel is hot, filling, and fragrant. A good choice for vegetarians and vegans. The service was good and the owners were friendly. The location is convenient with plenty of parking. It makes a great takeout lunch!

Raging Falafel offers falafel, wraps, shawarma, sides and smoothies, fruit juice. the latter 2 didn’t notice any signs for. just a few tables for dining in. plan to take the food to go. btw, a bbq used to be here. eats: 12 falafel(5.99) –each one as big as a ping pong ball –nice crunchiness with some mild spiciness better than«gotta have pita’s» version –comes with a white sauce and a hot sauce –couldn’t finish, had leftovers for dinner 25% off first 2 weeks. discount not promoted nor announced, just given. crumbs: –fab falafel, shawarma may be interesting. –quick, friendly service.

God, this place is amazing. I think I might have a new favorite restaurant. The falafel wrap was SOGOOD. Cucumbers, these awesome pink pickle things, chicken, oh my God. I also had the salad, which had more of those delicious pink pickles. What are they? THEYARESOGOOD. I’m so taking my friends here.

Best Mediterranean food in Livermore! My family and I came extra early to wait for their grand opening, and it was certainly worth it! Now I truly know the definition of a «food coma», I literally ate so much. We pretty much ordered one of everything off the menu LOL because good Mediterranean eats are hard to come by in these parts! And now this wonderful location has opened up right near us! My absolute FAVORITE was the felafel wrap, and the way they were made was so beautiful, I felt almost bad for eating such artistry! The smell alone was enough to make me anticipate how good the food was going to taste. Just taking that first bite, I knew I was in blissful, Mediterranean food-heaven. The owners are super friendly and very kind, and they take their time to prepare the food very well! Grand opening was a bit slow, but omg it was SO worth the wait. Plus it’s fun watching them make the food :) I can’t wait to come back again and grab another wrap! And to think it was only 6.99. Definitely doing my lunch time rendezvous at this location from now on.

Currently in soft opening they have their grand opening this Saturday with free samples and giveaways. In the 2 weeks that follow the grand opening all orders are 25% off! I love Mediterranean food so had to stop by and check this place out which resulted in me leaving with some Falafel and Baklava. The Falafel was a huge portion for $ 3.49, a small order comes with 6 balls but I got 7 as 2 were on the smaller side. The Baklava was good too, not the Nutty flavor I was expecting and am used to but a strong Rose water flavor so it tasted more like Turkish Delight. Good thing I am partial to some of that too. The owners run the place with the Wife working the register /taking order and the Husband making and preparing the food and are very nice. As the business has only just opened they are still finding their feet and don’t have a computer system for the orders so getting multiple customers at once seemed to cause some confusion, keep this in mind while you’re here and please be patient while they work through things. As well as Falafel they also do Gyros, Kebabs, Wraps and Juice, Dining is casual and prices are cheap. A great addition to Livermore, I will definitely return.
