Looking for a place to eat we stumbled across this small taqueria with ample out door seating and a vast menu of so many delicious items I had trouble deciding. I finally chose a super chile verde burrito, which is always is a favorite of mine, but is usually not up to par. My $. 8.50 burrito arrived and it was big enough for 3 people. With a salsa bar with fresh pico de gallo, avocado salsa and ample amounts of home made tortilla chips, I started in. At first bite I knew this would be my go to place to eat when I am in Livermore!!! We even made the trek from Walnut Creek to take my nephew, who lives in Houston, to eat here and he said he has yet to find any where near thus good in Texas. Great friendly employees, cold beer and the wide variety I mentioned are only a few reasons to put this palate pleasing destination on your radar. It will be worth it!!!

Terrible customer service. While placing my order, I told the cashier I did not want onions in my meal. My tacos were served with onions, so I explained to the waitress I had ordered my meal without onions. She rolled her eyes, walked away with the tacos, and promptly returned with the paper the cashier used to take my order. She told me I had only requested no onions for one item on my order(I specified more than once that I wanted ALL the tacos without onions), then placed the tacos(with onion) back on the table and walked away. The next time she came around, I explained I needed her to replace my tacos. She said I would have to pay for another order if I wanted my tacos replaced. I told her this was unacceptable; it wasn’t my fault the cashier misunderstood my request. When I was given the replacement other, the tacos still had onions. Needless to say the service here is terrible, I will not be returning.

We are new to Livermore and wanted to get a burrito, so we gave these guys a try. The people working here obviously don’t really care. We ordered two of there super burritos, one was just as it comes, nothing special. The second one was steak, no guacamole and salsa. The first problem was I started to eat my chicken burrito but it was steak, so I switched to the one marked steak and it was chicken but had no salsa or sour cream. The steak burrito had salsa. With one other customer in the restaurant you would hope they could get an order for two burritos right. We won’t be back.

Great food and great service. Been coming here for years even after I stopped working in the downtown area. Their burritos are fantastic, but they have much more than that. Their Coctel de camaron y pulpo, and chile verde are some of the best I’ve had. Definitely recommend popping in if you need a quick bite and are just visiting the downtown area.

I go here pretty often! It’s a great downtown staple, good price, and pretty good food! I’m pescatarian and they do a great job at accommodating their meals with just veggies or with fish.

Had a delicious burrito bowl here yesterday. Small taqueria in downtown Livermore. They are fast and so yummy. I also recommend their fresh squeezed orange and carrot juice :)

I’ve been coming to this taqueria for a few years now, and it is by far my favorite in the area. The service is friendly and fast, and the food is delicious. If burritos are your thing then look no further. They are giant, delicious, and not too greasy. Keep up the good work Los Caporales!

I’m came to eat at this restaurant earlier today to my surprise the girl in Green was sitting behind the counter were the food is being protected she was eating a plate of shrimp shoving the food in her mouth licking her fingers and times I caught a poking the meat that she’s serving to the customers when it came to washing her hands all she did was rinse underwater for less than 5 seconds and dry her hand on her apron there were plenty of tables were she could have sat down and had her lunch

The only good things was the guacamole :/I walked in and smiled at both cashiers and they just stared with out greeting me. I ordered a quesadilla and the cheese wasn’t melted all of the way and was only on the center of the tortillas, not to the edges. It was also pretty dirty inside– I had to clean off the table and chair. But, again, the guacamole was really good!

I really do enjoy Mexican food. I’ve eaten here a few times. Its pretty good I’ve had better but not much in Livermore to choose from, so this will do. The prices are good not to expensive and if you go for the lunch, the lunch deals you can usually save a buck.

Had some really good Green Chilaquiles here. Served with house made chips a, just spicy enough green sauce, and tasty refried beans and rice! Salsas were very good, if the salsas and the refried beans are good then the rest should be too. They also serve seafood, it was breakfast but tried some fish ceviche anyways and was also great. Glad we skipped the IHOP for this place before a day of shopping.

I had a chile verde tostada today and liked it. The drinks were watery. The clerk was super slow taking order. We’ve been coming here a long time and now it’s just no good. The chorizo was burnt and the sauce on the chile releno has changed. I don’t know if new chef but nothing tastes as good as it once did. It’s on a nice street in Livermore.

Food is just ok. The service Is so bad! No one is friendly. owner is rude. The girl opening on weekends hates life. Btw when you open at 8 it means you get there much earlier And prep. Not open doors and then prep. When your open everything is done already. Maybe you should change your hours to open later and sleep in so your not so grumpy. Also, I always get more than your chip sign that states one bowl and two salsa cups. You are all so rude. Go to Tequilas.

Not recommended. From the chips — to the tacos — to the burritos, it’s all bland. Worst I’ve had in some time. Messed up our order as well, but not terribly. Nice place to sit outside though — right on the sidewalk.

Service was rude, no bathrooms, found 2 bones in my chicken meal and my fiancé said his lengua burrito lacked flavor. Not impressed, won’t be back, outside seating was nice, but not worth it.

My «gf» wanted a 3rd consecutive meal of tacos. I guess she training for her marathon in Livermore next week cuz she’s running for the border. No joke. We had 2 consecutive meals of Taco Bell. Cuz you know, Locos Tacos Doritos para vida. As much as I wanted to take a Taco crap a third time, I had to intervene and suggest that although tacos are okay eat again, we might try something different. We Unilocaled«mexican» and found this authentic establishment. We were about to walk into the restaurant but my «gf» decides to spits on the FRONT of the doorway. Like, does she know what that means in Mexican? As far as I know, she didn’t bring a pistola and I didn’t either. Luckily, no one saw. Crisis averted. We stepped in and contrary to all the reviews, we didn’t see a hole in any of the walls. We ordered 2 fish tacos, 2 beef tacos, and 2 chicken tacos. We also had a large Mexican coke and a Pacifico beer. I made a joke to the cashier using my 9th grade level Spanish calling my «gf» a crazy girl. The cashier looked at me like I spit in the salsa bar. The salsa bar was pretty nice. We got our tacos fairly quick. We started tearing into the tacos. The fish tacos were large and the fish itself were good. The dressing was fairly decent with a lot of lettuce. Initial bite into the shredded chicken was flavorful but after, the chicken tasted average. The beef tacos however.. . makes you wonder what tacos were before you had these. They had scrumptious flavoring. Next time, my «gf» suggested we get a 12 pack of these. Although the shredded chicken was average, the beef tacos pulled this fine establishment up to 4 stars.

Los Caporales has truly outdone itself. Coming in for dinner recently, my friend ordered a super burrito. But I, on the other hand, ordered a JUMBO burrito. I had no idea I would be biting off more than I could chew. They offer free chips with your purchase, but if you’re ordering anything with the word«super» or «jumbo», you are best advised not to fill up before hand, because the burritos will fill you up immediately after finishing. The JUMBO burrito lives up to it’s name. It was PACKED with chicken, tomatoes, lettuce, beans, rice, and some kind of sauce. True heaven on Earth. That monster burrito seemed to weigh at least 1⁄3 of a pound. Oh gosh, why did I eat so much? Oh yeah, because it’s the BEST Mexican food I’ve had so far. That’s why. There are relatively good places in San Ramon, but this is top-dawg so far. Jumbo burrito was about $ 9.50 including sales tax, not bad considering how massive it is. Definitely coming back to try more menu items.
