Food is just OK. Chips & salsa were good. $ 19.25 for a basic two item combo? Not worth it.

Haven’t been back for 17 yrs. and the remodel is beautiful. Food was good and drink I had was very refreshing, cucumber and jalapeño margarita. Nice to return to the same haunts with new and old familiar foods!

I think this place got too big for their britches. Prices do not match the food quality. We are paying for this huge ass building they are in! Much better prices and food quality at the other Livermore Mexican restaurants. Not worth the money for sure.

Very disappointed in the food tonight. The service was OK, but as for the food, my chile relleno was Luke warm. The fucken cheese was still hard not even melted. What a disappointment it was tonight. Livermore has some killer restaurants. This one is a thing of the past. I would not waste your money here.

Great food and service! Food was ready on time and everything tasted very good. Really enjoyed our Saturday night family dinner! Will definitely come back again.

I have been a customer for years, and they have priced pricing me out for the quality of food I received tonight. The average price for a plate of Mexican food is $ 20 bucks now. The atmosphere is nice, but does not to justify the price per plate. A kids meal is 8 bucks(really). Also, be careful. Plates come out hot. The service was 5 star. Really. She took care of my daughter and I. I had the Taco Al Carbon(combo). It’s similar to a fajita($ 20), and that is not for two. It was the worse I had. Real disappointment. Chicken and steak was tasteless and it was like I was chewing on rubber. The best part of the meal was the beans. I ended up finishing my daughter’s meal, chicken tenders. They were bad too. Real greasy. It’s was a shame. No more daddy, daughter dates there. Just frustrating. I did not ask to return my meal. I’m sure they would’ve taken care of me, but with a two year old by my side I did not have the time or want to go through the hassle. I just expect them to get things right the first time at $ 20 bucks a plate. With so many Mexican restaurants around town, and within a few miles. I will say I won’t be back. There are too many good Mexican restaurants within a mile or two. They may not have the high end bar or fancy building, but at least I know my meal will be done right. This is not the first time I have been disappointed with their meals. This was the straw that ended my tenure here. Hopw you all have better experiences.

What a disappointment. We used to go here frequently before they thought so highly of themselves. Now with the huge remodel and expansion they are charging crazy prices. My wife and I each had one enchilada with rice and beans for lunch at $ 11.25 and the meal was a 6 out of ten. My one blue moon beer was $ 6.25. The other menu items are crazy high for Mexican food. This used to be a good place to go but«No Mas» for us. If you are ever in Brentwood try Jalisco’s. Their lunch enchilada meal is $ 6.95 and the taste beats Orozco by a mile!!!

My favorite Mexican food restaurant! Delicious and a great atmosphere to go for date night or out with a group.

Gone down hill. Way over priced. I used to drive to this place from Mountain View to meet my friends who live in Tracy, the food was that good. I don’t know if I have changed or their food has changed, but the last 4 times I have been there the food has really gone downhill. I tried different dishes the last 4 times I’ve been and all were just«not good.» I know that’s not super helpful, but that’s what it was. Last time, a few weeks ago, I ordered the enchiladas, cheese and chicken. They were«fair» but the rice and beans were not good at all. The food is overall really falvorless. The chips were cold and straight from a bag. The salsa was meh. The hubs ordered a chimichanga and that was good, but its hard to mess up a fried burrito with 4 different types of meat in it. We spent $ 75 on 1 house margarita, 1 virgin margarita, 1 small side of gauc, enchiladas and a chimichanga. Seriously? Get over yourself. Hard pass.

The food is good, but not the best I’ve ever had. The prices are way too high. I’ll eat here again, but I really don’t think the food is worth their prices.

This is a very hard review for me to write. We have loved Casa Orozco for many years. Food has always been good and I judge all mexican restaurants by their beans. We have noticed over the last few years they have gotten very expensive, but we still went, just not as often. Well, we went tonight and what a surprise! Prices were upped again! Really! $ 19.25 for a two item combo? And if you want 3 items it is $ 1.00 more. Need to get realistic on your pricing. Also, the food is not the same. Beans are still good but my chili relleno was completely under cooked! Cheese wasnt melted and the chili was raw! Over pricing your food and not being good, will make us loyals not come back.

We’ve lived in Livermore for 3 years and we just tried this place for the first time. We’d stayed away due to poor Unilocal reviews and a neighbors opinion that it was over priced and not very good. I got the shrimp fajitas, and they were pretty good. Lots of fresh bell peppers and onions and the shrimp were large and not overcooked. Overall I’d rate them a 8 out of 10. That item was $ 20.50 I would have felt better about paying $ 16 or $ 17 for it. My boyfriend got a 3 item combo plate, and he really loved his food but felt it was too overpriced as well. We’ll go back, just not very often. The service was very good, I must add. It was busy and they seemed very staffed and prepared for the business needs.

I don’t know why the place is rated 3 stars overall. Orozco is a great place and one of the best-looking Mexican restaurants around. Perfect location, great salsa, and such a fun place. Great outdoor seating with heaters. Awesome for birthdays and parties — it is huge and they have party rooms. Servers are great, and the one older gentleman sings a great feliz cumpleanos song.

Really? That’s what you charge for your food now? This used to be kind of a go-to when we have non-Californians in town, but the prices are now just: Full Definition of ridiculous : arousing or deserving ridicule: extremely silly or unreasonable: absurd, preposterous

Their three star rating is spot on. The pluses, Nice big building that is not too crowded even when it is full & the margaritas are varied. In my opinion, this is Mexican food for the non Mexican population of Livermore. It all sounds good but it lacks depth and flavor that is usually present in authentic Mexican food. The bigger disappointment is it seems they have skimped on the service level. Seems like a great place for a high school kid to get their first serving job or a place where ok is good enough. So while the three star rating is fair I knocked off another because the price is too high for mediocre product.

This place feels like family. In fact, we often bring family here! We love Pepe, our favorite bartender. He often sends our margaritas over before we’ve even made eye contact, much less ordered! I hope we’ve tipped him enough.(Maybe next time we’ll tip double.) Food is solid. My husband loves most everything here. I’m pickier because I am vegan. I usually order black beans, no cheese, with mango pico salsa. Yum. Sometimes enchilada sauce, too. Doesn’t sound like much, but add tortillas and an awesome Cadillac margarita, and half of it is tomorrow’s lunch. Love this place. We’ve been loyal customers through 2 moves. The food is great, the service is top notch, and the vibe is fun! Great place for a mid week escape from the kitchen or for a blow out party on the weekend. Salud!

Came here for dinner on a Friday night and surprisingly the place was nearly empty. That should’ve been a sign. But I came back despite the negative reviews just to see for myself. My mind is made up. I won’t be coming back. I ordered the chile relleno and a chicken tamale. . The pepper was uncooked and the cheese wasn’t even melted. It was still whole when I cut it open. Yes that’s right I said CUT it open. The tamale was all masa with hardly any chicken in it. It was pretty disappointing. To make matters worse they raised the prices. So you’re getting crap for more money. Definitely not worth it. I’m sad cuz I really use to love this place. Not anymore!

It makes me so sad to write this as just a few years ago I was Casa orozco’s biggest fan. But I’ve noticed in the last year or so some huge changes. Mostly, the prices! My favorite tostada went from $ 7.50 just 2 years ago to $ 11.25 now! And my husband always orders 2 enchiladas with rice and beans. This basic dish cost $ 18.99! And now my 2 year old requires her own plate which is an outrageous $ 7.50… The highest I’ve ever seen for a kids meal except in disneyland. Plus they charged $ 2.50 for her kids milk which I would have assumed was included.(I guess that puts their prices past disneyland…) Casa Orozco used to be a fun casual Mexican place we would bring our out of town friends. But now it’s just too expensive and that breaks my heart. Sorry Casa Orozco. We’ll be heading elsewhere from now on
