The Cosmetics Company Store

This was my first time ever in a cosmetic company store so I wasn’t sure what to expect. They carried a wide selection of upmarket cosmetics such as bobbi brown, MAC, smash box, Clinique, Estée Lauder, and more. I use MAC religiously but the products they carried didn’t interest me. They carried some products I use regularly but not in the shades I use. There were also some holiday brush sets from 3 seasons ago.
They carried many items from Bobbi Brown. I don’t own any Bobbi brown products but will definitely return after I find the right shade. They had testers but I wasn’t in the mood to go through each shade. There were some good smashbox box sets that would be great as gifts.
I didn’t have a chance to speak to any of the employees but I noticed an employee being very helpful to one of the customers.
Overall, although I didn’t purchase anything, I enjoyed my experience and will return.

The sales clerk was miserable, I could tell, because her face looks worst than someone having diarrhea. I didn’t get greeted, not even a thank you after I made my purchase. The whole transaction was upsetting and made me mad. It’s the worst customer service I’ve ever had.
After I picked out the chubby lip balm by Clinic, I went up to the register. The clerk was no where to be found. I then spotted her outside hanging out without any concern about the customer inside… which was me. I waited another 2 minutes before she even noticed that I was alive. Once she was inside, I asked her if it was closing time and she slightly snapped and said she was merely closing one of the doors. If she was closing one of the doors, why did she stay outside for a good 2 minutes breathing in the cold air!
I picked out the Clinic chubby lip balm, it’s the sample, so, of course I won’t be bringing that one home. She grabs my chubby lip balm and rings me up. After she hands over the bag, I pulled out the lipstick to make sure it was the right color and brand. Of course, I don’t remember what the color is called, so, I asked to see the sample again and told her I just wanted to check that it was the right color. And I gently explained to her that I’ve brought home the wrong colors before and was stuck with them. I thought she would understand. Nope, she snapped and said, she never makes mistakes. I told her, humans make mistakes all the time but that doesn’t make you a bad person. I’m just checking to make sure that I bought the right thing. She rolls her eyes. I leave. She doesn’t say anything to me. She was just plain miserable. I’m sure she won’t be there the next time I go there, it’ll be another miserable person working there.

I wanted to buy some eye shadow at this place. One of the employees she had red hair. She looked like a hippie vegan from Berkeley.
She flirted with my husband. In front of me. I really didn’t appreciated that for one bit. That was totally unprofessional of her to do that.
So I had enough of it. My husband and I left. I didn’t want to give them my business.
You lost my business from there. I will never shop at their store ever again.
