I can say honestly that I had one of my funnest days ever, here! It ended up being a field trip with the middle schoolers(an after school program) that I worked for. At first I didn’t think anything of it, I just figured I’d watch the kids climb, etc. Then as they were going over the rules of everything and how to *belay* I got really into it. So I ended up belaying for all the kids which was so fun(I’m a glutton for responsibility), when my coworker said she’d belay for me if I wanted to climb. & after a few attempts at turning it down, the sweet folks working there helped convince me. Just hearing the little ones cheer me on, and the encouragement, the accomplishment… getting to the top was easy– it’s once you’re there, looking down, and realizing you need to *let go* to get down that’s the scary part! letting go and kind of kicking off the wall while a tiny rope holds your life is scary as shhhhh****. But once I got down I felt like a *Superwoman*!! Such an incredible experience. It’s like the first time you go white water rafting, or catch a fish, or something else amazingly awesome. This place has good deals like Ladies Night, etc. etc. I’m going to be heading here for date night with my man next: D

I love coming here for date night. Me and the hub came here as a planned date night and we enjoyed ourselves for about an hour or so. It was a Thursday night and it wasn’t crowded at all. Came about 7-ish. The people who work here are really down to earth and helpful. They don’t bombard you with safety questions but do check to make sure you got your ish together and are somewhat climb knowledgeable. There are several walls to choose from all ranging from beginner to advanced routes. Me being a novice climber even after two years, I tried climbing one of the more advanced routes and failed. Thankfully my hub could see the frustration as did most people waiting to climb, as I made my way down the wall, bullets of sweat pouring down my forehead. Now that was an arm shocker. Love this place for it’s culture, it’s quaintness, and easy going atmosphere. Oh and for less than 20 bucks for both of us, it was a good cheap thrill worth having again.

First of all, Jen is great! I was there a while ago to just stop by because a friend of mine told me they were taking down the old routes and putting up new ones for an event. It sounded interesting and it was. I came in thinking that I would be in and out, but I ended up staying for 3 hours. The thought and time that they put into each route = true professionals. Every one is so welcoming and it really doesn’t matter if you are tall, skinny, short, chubby, old or young… You can rock climb!!! It’s not as hard as you may think.
