Cyclemore is a small shop run by the owner and sometimes a few part time guys who help out. There’s not a lot of money in the bike biz so the owner is doing it out of passion for the sport. He’s a nice guy and I love his shop. Def call first because he’s just one guy and sometimes that means being a little late to open. Having worked in the bike biz I know how easy it is to get swamped. Yeah he’s not REI or Performance but that’s a good thing. He’s very fairly priced and can often do repairs while I wait at half the price of other shops in the area. Verbalized your expectations and I bet you’ll have a good experience.

I would cycle more, if they would work on my bike. Brought a mountain bike in last Saturday, asked for new tires and tubes. Said it would be ready the following Saturday — 7 days? — whatever. Went to get pick it up, the guy is sitting outside with someone and said that he was getting ready to work on it, 7 days later. This isn’t a business, its a hobby.

Chris is a very nice guy and professional. This is the second time brought bike in here and now the only place I will go. Prices are fair and service is excellent. So glad he is in Livermore

The owner is so kind! My bike’s gear shift wasn’t working. He fixed it on the spot! Not only that, when I asked how much I owed him, he said«I don’t know give me like $ 5 or something» I only had my card and he said, «Don’t worry about it, whenever you’re in the area you can get me back. So KIND! We have been a couple times before and he is always timely and charges a decent price.

Similar to Sara’s review below, our experience was very poor. Long story short, our bike was not fixed for over 1 week beyond the promised pick-up date. The place is a mess and is being run very unprofessionally. Not enough employees — no way will we ever go back.

Nice people, and they did a great job fixing my bike. Charged next to nothing. I’m definitely coming back here for any future bike issues. Highly recommend :)

Great shop especially if you need a pro-tuning as the shop owner was once apro himself and has his own bikes as well. Not a huge selection but lets face it everything is just 3 –5 business days away anyway. I will pay a little extra for personal service from a real pro.

Awesome job on fixing my mountain bike. He said it would be $ 55 and when I got their it was only $ 40. Bike works like it was brand new. Thank you do much.

I am not happy with this shop. I would not recommend going here or buying from this shop! I went in originally to buy a basket for my clunky old beach cruiser. They didn’t have one so I went and looked around at their bikes. I got the idea to buy a new bike. I currently live in Castro Valley and wanted a bike that could handle the hills. My silly beach cruiser only has three speeds. So I test ride a Bianchi bike and fall in love. I was told that it comes in the Bianchi Blue which is my favorite color so I agreed and asked them to build it up for me. They told me it would be built the next day so I called the next day to see if my bike was ready to be picked up and it turns out they didn’t have the frame they said they had and no one called to tell me I wouldn’t get my bike. Soo I go in there to talk to the owner and see what I could do. I wanted a bike with more gears but I liked that color. The owner told me he could build the bike for me and add more gears to it.(I don’t understand bikes so a lot went over my head and my friend who worked in a bike store helped me out with working out details.) I was told on Sunday that the bike would be built and ready LATEST Thursday of that next week. I called Thursday, it wasn’t ready they said they would have it built by Saturday or Sunday. So I get my hopes up and call on Saturday and he says he didn’t have all of what he needed to build it. He was missing one of the two brackets or something. The company didn’t send them. The bike was to be ready by Monday or Tuesday. It wasn’t ready until WEDNESDAYNIGHT. You notice how I keep saying«I CALLED,» he did not once update me on my bike or what was happening. He called once to ask a question but NEVER called to update us. The bike was a week later than when he said it would be ready. I don’t care much about how long it took. It was the bike I really wanted and I appreciate the fact that he did this but it is BS that he did not contact either myself or my friend about where he was in the process of building the bike. He didn’t even seem to feel bad for how long it took to finish. I would have been happy if he gave a 5% discount for the inconvenience and poor customer service, but nope! Full price for horrible customer service. Just what I want! This owner has no sense of time management. His shop looks like it has just been robbed and there seems to be almost no business in the shop. I am an Interior Designer and I have worked in retail, this dude seriously needs to have his shop worked on or decorated with something and CLEANED. I almost died tripping over old nasty dirty bikes all around the shop. He has a sitting area that is FILLED with bike parts! Why have a sitting area if you are going to just fill it with junk?! This guy needs to get his SH together. He is not cut out to be a shop owner. I am very upset with this whole experience. None of it was professional.

So glad that we once again have a second bike shop in Livermore! If you are tired of being ripped off by the *other* bike shop in town, I highly recommend you check out Cyclemore. I took my mountain bike to them for some maintenance this past weekend and received excellent service from owner Chris and mechanic Jeff. Their prices are very reasonable and they went above and beyond to restore my bike to perfect operating condition. Great local business!

These guys are awesome! Very friendly, helpful, and with amazing prices. I’ve come in here with my road bike and mountain bike and they’ve taken care of my needs. The owner is an ex racer and knows his stuff. If you can, do him a favor and pay cash.

I’ve been to several bike shops in the Bay Area — some of which are top-notch — and this definitely the best one I’ve visited so far. I dropped in on a quiet day with the owner Chris Huber, Jeff behind the counter, and Chris’s dog Dasher. Chris has a formidable professional cycling career behind him(including setting the bike land speed record in the ‘90s). Jeff is the friendliest and most helpful bike shop staffer I’ve met and I wish I could have gotten to know him even more. They gave me a quick tune up extremely quickly, for a fantastic price, and with fantastic service. I don’t live nearby but I wish I did so I could stop by for all my bike shop needs. Thanks guys!

Wow, I love this bike shop! If you are looking for a local bike shop with a pro who has done it all from winning 140 pro races to building his own frames, this is the shop for you! I hadn’t ridden a bike in over 20 years since college and felt like a newbie but Chris never made me feel bad asking dumb questions. He guided me through my buying criteria(and for my son as we’ll — we bought two Giant MTB’s). Chris even help educate me on some of conflicting information I was reading on the biking forums about hard tail vs full suspension, and benefits of 27.5 vs 29er. Chris assembles and tunes each bike individually, them fits you to the bike(height for seats, brake and gears, and weight for bikes with suspension forks). I love a shop that when the owner walks to the local coffee shop puts a sign on the door that says«be back in 15 minutes.» No pushy sales and you get real expert advice. Chris has no hubris either despite his pro accomplishments — I saw him fixing a flat for what must have been a 15yr old ladies bike and he did it with a smile. If you ask about his racing exploits, you might get lucky and Chris will indulge you with a few stories. Oh, and if you love dogs, Dasher is adorable, too. I live in Pleasanton but go out my way to come here for all my biking needs. 5 stars!

I mistakenly confused cyclemore with Cal cycles. Sorry. I haven’t visited yet.

The owner Chris worked with me over the course of a week and a half to get me into my dream bike. When I arrives he took extra time after the store had already closed to make sure each bolt was set perfectly and at the bike fit my body to the millimeter. With his extensive racing knowledge it was easy to tell that he knew exactly what he was doing and it shows.

I recently purchased a couple of bikes from Cyclemore and I am very satisfied with my experience. The owner, Chris, is a retired pro biker and is very knowledgeable. Besides getting me an amazing road bike, I really appreciate that he took the time to fine-tune my bike exactly the way I need it to get the most performance, based on my riding style. The store is quite small so the on-site inventory is limited, but any bike can be ordered within a few days.
