Great quality. More dressed up than your average Chinese restaurant. & their honey spare ribs are spectacular! Delivery is spotty. Get the ribs!!!

We got delivery from Soy and Ginger last Friday when we were visiting our friends in West Orange. It took a little while to arrive, but in all fairness we didn’t order until around 7pm and I’m sure Friday night is one of their busier nights. I got the shrimp pad Thai(really yummy) and my husband got the sesame chicken with veggie fried rice. Everything was excellent… it all tasted fresh and was delicious. We’re probably going to order from them again this weekend as long as they deliver to Summit.

Ordered take out three nights in a row from Soy and Ginger!!! Everyone at my job was more than pleased with the food quality, price, and speedy delivery… and we are picky… Top place for us night shift workers to order from! Chicken lettuce wraps: it’s like the contents of dim sum and then you wrap your own. Big noodle bowls: yum Asian Chicken Salad: yum yum

First time there and we ate in. Not sure we’d do that again as its fine but really just a storefront. We were the only ones there(odd time of day) so service was quick and pleasant. General Tso’s was crispy with good quality chicken and not cloying sweet. Could have used a but of kick though. Cold sesame noodles, shrimp in brown sauce(huge!) chow fun and kids meals all very good. All drinks come from a standing cooler in the dining area. No glasses or ice. We made do. My fortune cookie was empty but our bellies are full and we are happy.

Their food is absolutely delicious and the best in the area. It’s chinese but different. It’s always tasty and fresh… and most of all I never get disappointed(you know how sometimes the same dish tastes different?) Customer service has also improved.

Ordered it via grub hub last night. First it took a half an hour longer than the estimated arrival time and second the food was not what I was expecting at all. I got sesame chicken that was cold and hard, chicken dumplings that were rubbery, and pad thai that didn’t taste normal. I would not recommend this place to anyone going back to my normal Chinese take out.

Disappointing. I called them up and gave them an order for pickup. I had to wait for 15 mins again at the store for them to prepare the food. This happened twice to me. It’s really disappointing to have this level of service from an Asian food place cause they usually are really good with service.

Tried this place 3 times. Meat is always burned. The lady taking delivery orders is always in a rush and one time hang up before I finished ordering.

I’ve been getting takeout every so often from this place for the past 6 months and I have to say the food has consistently been good. I like that the dishes I’ve ordered aren’t soaking in greasy sauces like most Chinese food places around the area. I’ve actually seen the kitchen and it looks very clean. The workers are always friendly and have accommodated my special requests. I always have received my food quickly as well. Overall a solid Chinese takeout.

This place will be closed in a year. Very poorly run and you can read that in every other review. That take forever. Don’t bother delivery it will take hours. I event tried once to pick up figuring that would solve the long wait. Nope I was told pick it up in 30, it still had to wait 20 more minutes. So still an hour for chicken! When I was waiting for my good I saw 3 people walk out without food. I also heard about 10 calls asking where the delivery was and they kept saying 5 mins to every person. They clearly don’t have the staff or organization to properly run

The food is pretty good for what it is, but the delivery/customer service is atrocious! On multiple ocasions I have waited 2 hours for a deliver that said it would take 45 min. When calling the restaraunt they are extrememly rude, say«it’s on it’s way» without checking your order, and then hang up on you. This last time I ordered, after an hour and 15 min of waiting, I acutally was able to speak to someone for more than 3 seconds, they had not made my order yet, and then hung up on me. When the delivery guy showed up 45 min later, he threw the food at me and left. I would say worth it if you’re willing to go pick it up, otherwise, don’t bother.

Love their General tso chicken and I’ve had a lot of it in my time. I don’t know what they put in it but it’s hands down the best that I’ve ever had. Crispy and actually full of chicken and not just fatty pieces. On another level. It almost reminds me of bon chon Korean chicken. Haven’t had anything else but they get 5 stars for the one dish I always order!

Hit or miss. I’ve eaten in and gotten delivery before. The lunch specials are affordable and you get a lot of food for what you pay for. What I feel this place lacks is good service and organization, as well as the inconsistencies in the quality of food. We ordered delivery tonight at 6:15 pm, with food promised by 7 pm. When 7 pm came and went, I called the restaurant to check on the status of my order, and before I could complain, the lady on the phone rudely said it was on the way. It didn’t arrive until 7:40 pm, a good 1.5 hours after I had placed my order. Mind you, I live less than 5 minutes away, and if I wasn’t very pregnant with two hungry, demanding toddlers, I would have just walked over to pick up. To top it off, the food was meh. We ordered the pineapple fried rice(where are the pineapples??), Pad Thai(decent, though not the real stuff of course), and a honey chicken thing for our kids(which honestly tasted a bit burned). The whole meal costs us $ 30 — not super worth it. All in all, I don’t think I will go back but then again, there is really not a single Chinese restaurant in this area that I would crave for.

Decent food but the owners getting into a fist fight while families are eating a few feet away on the patio in Marra’s was inexcusable. 7 police cars and an ambulance ruined quite a few people’s evenings.

Placed order online at 7:30pm. Delivered wrong order at 8:10. Called at 8:11 that they delivered wrong order. Said driver is on the way. Called 8:30. Who are you? Where’s my food? Yelling in Chinese in background. Talk to driver. We’ll bring you out another order. 8:51 I’m pissed and writing a 1 star review. Holding off posting so I don’t get spit in my food. Got call 9:00. They will deliver tomorrow for half off. But I’m hungry today. Drove the wrong order cross town. Got my money back and am standing at counter of oriental kitchen.

Welp, I’ve found my new Chinese spot near work. Soy and ginger was quite a treat for lunch today. I had the chicken and broccoli with brown rice(sauce on the side) and a wonton soup. I got 3 wontons in the soup which is a score since usually places get chinsey on they dumplings for lunch specials. My chicken and broccoli was very good. Very good portion size and the chicken was cooked just right. Broccoli also was cooked well. My lunch didn’t take too long to come out. Another thing that struck me about this place was how clean it was which made me happy. The menu had a few Thai items too which appealed to me but I wanted my chicken and broccoli fix. Service was friendly and prompt. Café 88 could learn a thing or two from S&G. I’ll definitely be back. Only bummer was that I never got a fortune cookie! Shucks.

Just finished our delivery dinner from Soy Ginger. To give credit where it is due, the thai basil tenderloin dish was tasty and well balanced, but they forgot our side of brown rice. Delivery took an hour and 15 to arrive although we are only 2 miles away. No utensils were included whatsoever(no chopsticks, nothing.) $ 8 order of pork fried rice was colorless and flavorless. We were totally underwhelmed by the $ 8 dim sum sampler(cold & soggy, and the vegetable dumplings were tasteless). At more than a dollar per dumpling we expected mediocrity at best. To top it off, this morbid fortune found its way into my cookie: «Be cautious while walking in darkness alone.» Creepy. I think we will stick to Dragon Garden from now on, just wish they had delivery!

Tasty Asian cuisine at very reasonable prices. Place is small, but the food is made fresh and to-order. They gladly accommodated special requests, and were very friendly. The meat/vegetables have a distinct slight charred taste to them, and were delicious. Portion sizes were quite large for the prices paid. Will be a regular at this establishment, as the Asian food is far superior than at any of the other ones that I have tried in the area.
