This has to be one of the most beautiful theaters I have ever been to. I suggest arriving early and checking out the history about theater displayed all around inside inside beautiful cases all throughout the lobby. This place is just pure class. I am so lucky to say that I have been here and have seen a movie. I only wish I could say that I was lucky enough to see a play or a ballet for what this beautiful theater was truly intended for. Also, if you get a chance, check out the bathrooms. Normally I’m really grossed out by public bathrooms and avoid them unless it’s truly necessary, but the bathrooms here are great. They have the same grand style to them as the rest of the theater and they come with personal sinks within the stalls.

I visited Laurel Park more out of nostalgia than anything else. It is a truly unremarkeable mall type movieplex built in the late 1980s, early 1990s. I don’t think it has been updated since then. The seats are nice and worn in, but not in a bad way. Don’t come expecting big rocking chair style seats. Some of the theatres are awkwardly shaped and most of the auditoriums are relatively small compared to more modern theatres. Laurel Park Theatres are located in an office building BEHIND Laurel Park Mall. Some positives about the place: 1. With the huge AMC20 nearby this place is never too crowded. I went on a Saturday night and the theatres was about 1⁄3 full. 2. Sometimes plays older run movies. If you miss something at the multiplex you can catch it here. 3. The crowd is mostly adults. This is a major plus. Not too many teens on dates. 4. Monday thu Thursday all movies are $ 4.75 Negatives. 1. All Friday and Saturday night movies are $ 9.50. This seems steep. No senior prices. 2. Bathrooms are not the best. Didn’t make me want to die, but weren’t as clean as they could have been. I was really torn about whether to give this place 2 or 3 stars. Yes, I’ve seen better, but this is a decent place to see a movie. Cleaner and quieter than the second run places on the eastside(Cinemark and Silver Cinema). They also have more recent films than second run as well, but the theatre is outdated.
