Service was glacial, tables dirty, dining room chilly. Really disappointed since previous visits were much better.

Slow service and a not funny hipster for a waiter. The whole place had a urinal cake smell!!! Go for drinks, Guinness was good!

Food was good, service was HORRIBLE. Went there on a Saturday at 1:45 it was not busy but had to ask for a drink refill. She dropped off the bill at 2:26 finally came back at 2:39 and to top it off she charged me for dinner portion instead of lunch.

If I could give this place and these people ZERO stars I would. We went on a Wednesday night after my flight had landed to meet with some friends for a dinner. Service was absolutely horrendous. After we got seated, between a half-@ss server and a bartender, both would grudgingly take turns coming to our table of 4 after my husband would walk over to flag someone down. There were maybe 12 people in the entire restaurant that evening. We should have known when it took so long to get drink orders, we should have wrapped it up and gone elsewhere for dinner. My husband had to go GET the damn staff to come over to take our orders which took forever to arrive and the food was not even good– the food quality seemed like frozen dorm food which had been microwaved. Even when we wanted to cash out to leave, my husband had to go get someone to bring the bill. Unfortunately, the disaster didn’t even end when we left. We realized the next day that my husband’s credit card had not been given back. He tried to call, was put on hold for 15+ min and the person never came back but hung up on him. He called back thinking it was a mistake, waited 15 more minutes while the person who answered the phone went to get the manager, who was extremely short with him, put him on hold again. After 20 more minutes had gone by, he gave up and hung up. After wasting almost an hour, he ended up reporting his card lost/stolen.

Came here for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. It was pretty empty but that’s not necessarily a problem. A group of 4 of us ordered a mix of sandwiches and salads and after what seemed like an eternity in an empty restaurant we got our food. Pretty much everyone was disappointed. I has the duck salad, I love duck and the menu description sounded great but what came out was basically 4 chicken tenders on a bed of dry greens. It had zero flavor whatsoever which is a bummer especially when it isn’t a healthy salad. My wife had a different salad that somehow was missing 2 of the 6 ingredients promised on the menu. When she commentEd to the waitress that she thought it was missing cheese, instead of correcting the problem she insisted that it was there it was just under other stuff… Rude. Overall it wasn’t terrible but just nothing was very good. If you come here stick to beer or things that you can season yourself with ketchup and mustard.

Love it. Must have Irish coffee, fish and chips. Tried the bbq pork boxty as an appetizer. Loved the toppings not a fan of the potato pancake. But I did grow up in a polish household, so potato pancakes are my niche.

My family and I had dinner here on a Thursday night. I made reservations through Open Table which was nice they offered this service. When we arrived at 6 pm the place was dead. There were only three other parties. Our service was good and the food arrives quickly. I shared the fish and chips and my other family members had the baked mac and cheese. Overall, we were not impressed. The fish and chips was greasy and the breading on the fish wasn’t cooked long enough. I was impressed by the flavorful fries. They actually cooked them extra long as requested. The family members who ordered the mac and cheese didn’t care for it too much. They commented that it taste better at their hometown location in Lansing, MI. A few hours after leaving I became sick from what I think might have been the fish as it was the only thing I ate that day but I cannot be certain. I might try this place again but would probably choose another nearby restaurant first.

For my sister-in law’s birthday we had lunch here, We started by sharing the corned beef cabbage rolls appetizer and it was very good and enough for the four of us. I then ordered the Irish Breakfast and it was outstanding. Great bangers and eggs with some excellent Irish bacon. My wife had the Shepherds Pie and loved it. Sister-in law had the beef stew which looked terrific and finally my brother-in-law had the goat cheese salad. Everyone said it was a perfect brunch. Our server Emily did an outstanding job. Of course we will be back!

I was in Livonia for the afternoon so I stopped by Claddagh with a friend for some food & drinks. They had plenty of outdoor seating which I’m a big fan of. Plus the AC was on inside so indoor seating was a little too chilly for my tastes. Our waiter Brian was AWESOME. He was very attentive and friendly. I had the veggie burger that came with potato wedges. I’m not a cheese person and there’s a lot of cheese in their veggie burger so I didn’t enjoy it that much but maybe cheese lovers would so I wont deduct any points for that. The wedges were good for bar food. I also had a Margarita that was pretty tasty. Overall I was satisfied with the place.

I’m unsure how I feel about this place. On one hand concerns of mine seem trivial, but on the other hand there’s not much about my meal that really sticks out. I feel like our waitress forgot about us(or maybe she was just flakey?). She was never gone an excessive amount of time, but enough for you to find yourself wondering. The food was reasonable, albeit a bit overpriced for what you get. It seems to lack flavor, but that could be the cuisine in general. Fish and chips is very popular and there is always someone at my table that orders it every time we go. The bangers are good, but I would caution you ordering them as your entrée. They don’t necessarily come out piping hot. The desert menu is small, and it’s basically everything made with some sort of alcohol. Haha. My biggest complaint was this — we sat outside in the evening. Shortly after our waitress took our drink order she lit these outdoor warming lamps and fire pit. It was too my back and it smelled like exhaust/burning to me. Part of me wanted to get up right then. I either got used to the smell or it went away after a time. I couldn’t tell you which.

Good atmosphere for groups. Good Irish menu. Never really I’ve crowed when I’ve been there. Would recommend everyone to try it out.

Seated quickly at a table with 3 coworkers which was terribly wobbly. Ordered our lunches which came out quickly. However, our server was a little clumsy with my coworker’s Dublin coddle and spilled one of the bangers out of an already small lunch-sized portion. She proclaimed«Oh, there goes one of your bangers!» but did not offer to replace it with a new one. Seriously? I ordered the salmon and spinach salad which was listed as coming with almonds, sundried tomatoes and feta. The salad came without the feta but also had cranberries. I asked for some feta as the menu listed it, and the waitress looked at me, unsure if I was making it up. She then said that the chef was provably sleeping back there(way to throw your coworker under the bus) and came back with a dressing-size cup of feta. She then asked if I had checked under the salmon to make sure there was no feta. Seriously? I quickly realized cranberries and sundried tomatoes are a terrible combination but ate the salad anyways because I was starving.

Claddagh is my go-to place for yummy fish and chips, messy Reuben sandwiches, and boisterous happy hours. The fish and chips feature a huge portion of lightly-battered cod. Perfectly fried, the cod was smooth, thick and tender. The Irish ale-batter was golden, light and crunchy. On this visit, I had the onion rings instead of the usual chips accompaniment. The latter featured large and thick rings of onions in a heavy batter, good but not great, a bit greasy as well. The Reuben sandwich, The Paddy Mac, included a healthy amount of corned beef topped with an even healthier portion of creamy coleslaw, on marbled rye with Swiss cheese. While I’ve had this sandwich multiple times, I have not yet mastered the art of eating it without making a mess. This means, my friends are treated to a sight of me with the sandwich ending up on my chin, plate, running down my arms, and heaped on my clothes. The sandwich is so flavorful that I risk it for the yummy combination of flavors. The corned beef and cabbage rolls appetizer is decent, as are the desserts. None of them are remarkable though. During warm summer evenings, eating on the patio is a must. Somehow, with sunglasses on, you can look glamorous while still having a messy sandwich. Service is generally okay.

I’ve wanted to try this place out and I finally went this week. The décor is pretty neat, I’ve never been to Ireland so I can’t say if it has an Irish feel to it but it definitely has an European feel to it. They have a pretty varied menu with some Irish style dishes. I was in a hurry and didn’t feel like experimenting so I just went with their claddagh burger which comes with an egg. I ordered it medium but it came out as medium well. I liked the fact that they seem to use lean meat since it wasn’t dripping with fat. I really like their seasonings although the fried egg didn’t really add anything to it. The bun was really good. It came with big fries that were really good. I tried my wife’s corned beef sandwich. The corned beef has great seasoning but was a little chewy. The service was ok, they weren’t busy but I still had to wait to get a refill of my drink and ran out. Decent place, I will come back and try one of their signature dishes next time.

My dad likes this place because they have a deal on their fish and chips on Mondays. Service is decent, food is decent. Experience depends on where you sit. The room at the back is quieter, up front near the bar its loud.

Situated among a cluster of high end chain eateries(Mitchell’s, Flemmings, etc.) we met friends here for fish and chips. Considering it was Friday, Lenten Season, and the Friday before St Patrick’s Day we barely snuck in without a significant wait for our party of 6 which we were thankful for considering when we left the line was out the door. Our waitress was attentive and the Guinness poured properly having been given enough time to rest and complete with shamrock on top. Everyone in our party really enjoyed the fish and chips which consists of one complete filet(which is rare for fish and chips) potato wedges that were seasoned perfectly, and a dill flavored tartar sauce that was awesome. We really enjoyed our time here. In terms of authenticity folks it is what it is, it’s a chain. I get really frustrated with reviews that knock a chain for not being«authentic». If you want«authentic» go to corktown, but if you want a place that is appropriate for your grandparents right down to your children, and enjoy a drink, decent food, with a little bit of Irish flavor around you, then consider here.

Well, I guess for a fake Irish bar this place is okay. But know that it is really just a restaurant with an Irish name. Oh sure– there are some Irish like things on the menu, like corned beef and cabbage and an Irish breakfast, but really burgers, sandwiches and salads are what most people are eating. I ordered a plain hamburger patty and a side salad. The hamburger was way over cooked and the lettuce, tomato and onion that topped it was tired and dried out. My mom’s corned beef«paddy melt» fared better as it was a large sandwich and quite tasty. Our server was very good at getting us in and out in time for us to see our movie nearby which is the reason for more than 2 stars. Plenty of free parking and I liked the little stream«wildlife» area that runs along the side of the place. All in all, it was just okay. Nothing special to make me head back here on future visits.

Where do I begin? I will start by saying this place isn’t in my neighborhood, or even on my radar. I would have never gone to Livonia, Michigan to eat. It’s too far, especially with kids and all. But, it was my brother’s birthday and he has eaten here before so he picked it. It was a 40 minute drive. Ugh. I immediately regretted the decision to go when we walked in to some small old man wailing some mopey song with his acoustic guitar strumming. Immediately. I did open my mind, though. We were a large-ish party with a reservation so they set us up at a big round table with a lazy Susan. I thought it was kinda neat! We ordered within a few minutes. While I was waiting for my Guinness Onion Soup, I checked in on Unilocal!I was surprised to see that I got a coupon for $ 4 off an $ 7 Irish Coffee drink for checking in! Cool! Next time I saw the waitress I showed it to her(as the coupon told me to do). The waitress said she would ask her manager. The soup arrived and it was delicious! We had also ordered some steak tip appetizer and I felt it was too spicy or peppery or something. I didn’t like it much at all but my fiancé really did like it. It’s a matter of preference, I guess. Our food arrived before I was finished with my soup. Based on other reviews I was sure it would take longer. I was pleasantly surprised with that. I had ordered chicken pasta… I don’t recall the name of it. It was extremely delicious although, a little spicy or over-peppered or something. The spice level was tolerable because it was cooked divinely. Divinely. I was so ready to give a five star review as I ate my dinner. The rest of the experience was kind of shoddy if you ask me. I reminded the waitress twice about the coffee coupon before she finally got around to asking her manager as she was collecting our dinner plates. That really kinda irritated me. Then she came back and told us they would honor the coupon, which in my opinion, there shouldn’t have been any question about it in the first place! My fiancé was interested in the drink so we ordered it. I asked for it to go on my separate bill. My mom also ordered one that was to go on her bill. So, it took like 10 minutes to receive the drinks… I would be willing to let that go easily because it was super busy, and getting late on a Friday so the crowd was a little more on the sloppy drunk side and I’m sure the bar was getting busy. Seriously, it didn’t bother me that much. What did bother me was that the waitress came over and told us she was going to bring the bills and claimed that the coffee we ordered was taken care of, or specifically, that we didn’t «need to worry about it.» Great! Awesome! That totally kicks ass! Not only was the food great but then the manager was comping us the remaining $ 3 of the drink! What a great night! Then she brought the bill. It was $ 200 for all of our food and drinks for 8 people. I guess it’s not THAT bad considering the food was so good and there were a few Guinnesses and whiskeys out on the table… but then I glanced over the receipts for the table’s bill and our separate one. She was being honest that she wasn’t charging ME for the coffee drink but there the stupid thing was on my mom’s bill for my fiancé’s «seat» AND the coupon wasn’t taken off! Ugh! So, I don’t know… my mom insisted that I not ask the waitress to take it off but it took everything in me to not call a manager over and address it. I’m really sure it was a misunderstanding because we only ordered the coffee beverage because the coupon made it less than half the price… and we cleared the coupon before we ordered it. Out of respect for my mom, I didn’t fight over the $ 4 coupon, but it really did bug me a lot. So, it’s a three star joint in my mind. Maybe I expect too much but since I asked about the coupon a total of four times and was then told they were doing one better for us by taking it off our bill completely… I expect that the waitress double checks the bill to make sure the drink was handled properly. At the very least, the manager approving the comp should check it. But, really, I guess it’s not really their fault that my mom was too embarrassed for me to ask about it a fifth time. I’m sticking to my guns with the three, though… I shouldn’t have to ask a fifth time!

The good(not much)… the bad(boo) and the ugly(did that REALLY just happen)? My aunt sent a text because just welcomed her first bouncy baby grandchild into the world just the VERY early morning!!! My parents were also in town, so it seemed like a perfect time to get together and celebrate!!! We all arrived at 5pm and quickly got a table for six. That was the only thing that was quick the WHOLENIGHT. We were catching up, pictures, talking and after about 26 minutes she called out to a waitress to see if we could order drinks(how could we celebrate without an ice cold draft beer?!). Everyone knew what they wanted to drink but I did ask a question about the Tennetts Euro Lager. When I lived in Scotland, I used to drink it all the time(dont worry about that part mom and dad) but wasnt sure it was something new or the same delicious nectar of the Gods that has been served for hundreds of years… so, I asked. Generally, there should be some level of knowledge of beer but not this time. All I got from her was«I dont know, but most people dont like it,» alright, so I knew that this was not going to be very fruitful. I was browsing the menu and my husband asked if I could grab a taste of the Tennents. She seemed clearly annoyed by the request. As she brought out our drinks(almost 45 minutes after we arrived), I asked for a Smithwick’s just to keep things simple– although I did like the other beer. So, I ordered right away. As she turned, I moved my arms and knocked my drink napkins off the table. No need to worry, she picked it up and put it right back from the floor on my table. Gross. The beer seemed to be a little flat– all around the table… after taking over 45 minutes to get a drink… in an irish«pub.» Everyone was getting a little hungry and we tried to flag down the waitress. What a disaster… that took another 30 minutes. We all ordered the special BOGO fish and chips. The food was REALLY good but it took another 20 minutes to get it. We were all really annoyed. And this is when I finally became impressed with this place. After all of this, the manager stopped by our table. Usually, I do not say anything about the service being bad but if the service is good, then I do tell them. My table mates did in fact inform them about the terrible service but good food. They did apologize profusely(and genuinely), comped part of the meal and then offered us a gift certificate again. I was very impressed with the attempt to make it right. It did. I will definitely go back there to try them out again… if they had not done this rectification, I would not have ever been back again. Managers– Thank you for making this right for us. We were very impressed with making it right. We will be back.

I wasn’t looking for a new place to eat out but while in Downtown Plymouth I decided to try a new restaurant and this place didn’t disappoint. The server was right there asking questions and being social and accommodating, I know this is her job but she did it well and have to say it made the experience enjoyable. I had the fish and chips and my friend had the Reuben with chips. Both tasted amazing. It’s very trendy and has the old world Irish feel that’s warm and inviting. The manager stopped by twice to make sure everything was enjoyable. The experience made it a place I will try again.
