Stopped by for lunch had a burger and a drink everything was great. Would have been even better if they take the coupon for drinks. Come to find out food only, It was the trip. Great prices.

Great food and very reasonable prices. It’s a local bar and friendly environment cause the waitress know you after awhile. You can’t judge it from the outside being in a strip mall, but it’s a great find:)

Stopped here for lunch with coworkers. To drive by this bar and grill in a strip mall, you may question whether to stop here. You go inside and it’s not fancy but it’s roomy and clean. Staff and service were very friendly and quick. Food prices seemed very good. Then our food came out… holy cow! The sandwiches and portions are HUGE! A great value! The food is very good. Honestly, this is one of those little, local spots with a great product in a family owned, neighborhood bar and grill. I’ve never been here in the evening but as a lunch spot, you should try it!

I can’t give this place more then 2 stars. The food and prices are decent. But, too many bar fights and drunk 60 year olds. The place is too awkward to go to anymore. Plus, you have to walk through drunk smokers on your way out. Too many local drunks make this place a place to stay away from for now on. Plus the service is really bad. They do not know the policies and specials. Never again.

I love coming here for Name That Tune on Thursdays. Thursdays are ladies nights with really cheap drinks too. We often get the sliders that they have on special 4/$ 5 and they’re delicious.

Well I can say it’s definitely a bar. Stopped in on a Thursday to have a couple drinks with a friend. First impressions is decent size with a small town bar feel. It’s located in a small strip mall, which I always find weird for a bar. They have a decent amount of TVs, decent jukebox, sports décor, and a handful of real dart boards. It appeared to have a bunch of the«regulars» hanging out this night we were there. We sat towards the end of the bar and the bartender was polite and quick. She gave us a rundown of the draft beer and their vodka selection was limited so I ended up with a raspberry pinnacle and Sprite. Not bad but most bars have Stoli Raz… yes im a vodka drinker. Drinks were decent priced and I believe the vodka was $ 4.50. I like a strong drink and these were decent, not overpowering but a quality drink. We ordered a couple cheeseburgers and fries and they we good. The grill is directly behind the bar so you can see the cook in action. A bonus for me. It’s a typical quality bar burger. Plenty of TVs located around the bar. The clientele was mostly 40+ yr old males. Someone ask the bartender if they had any specials and the said it was ladies night. I counted 2 ladies in the bar and over 30 men. To be fair it is softball season so a lot of guys in their softball uniforms. The guy next to me was younger and really drunk. I’m all for getting«hammered» periodically but he kept talking about driving home and that should a sign to stop drinking. I saw the bartender do 4 shots with him while I was there for about 2 hours.(A John Taffer«No No» for anyone that watches Bar Rescue) All in all… a decent belly up, beer, and a shot bar. Sometimes you just don’t want the fluff and just want to throw a few cold ones back with the close friends and this is that type of bar. No somewhere I would suggest a first date or you mom but a good place for friends that aren’t looking for anything fancy… or to pick up ladies. I have good friends and a wonderful wife so sometimes this is the perfect place for me!

My friends and I go to the Bench Pub every other Thursday for Name That Tune. We have had good and bad experiences over the past year or so with the service, but it’s worth it because Name That Tune is a great time. Their chips and cheese are fantastic– it’s hard to find a good nacho cheese dip! I also like their chef’s salad, and I usually like their chicken strips with buffalo sauce. Sometimes they don’t put enough sauce on though, and once they were undercooked. Thrusday nights are also Ladies Night, with $ 2 you-call-its! I love that I can drink $ 2 Midori Sours while I play! The only problem is that there are certain random drinks that aren’t included, but if you order one of them, they don’t let you know that it’s not $ 2. You don’t find out until your bill is way too expensive. The service is really hit-or-miss, but I would imagine it’s better on days where the place isn’t full to capacity. Overall, great for Name That Tune, but not really a place I would ever go to otherwise.

My sister and I was visiting another business in the same area and saw a sign that said«Fish Friday». We told our husbands about it because we were looking for a good All You Can Eat Fish… As soon as we walked into the bar, it seemed friendly. However, when we found a table, the chairs and table were old and had horrible stains. It felt and looked dirty! It made us think that that kitchen was probably like that or worse. We placed our order anyways… The Server came back to tell us that they ran out of fish!!! It was dinner time on a Friday and they had a big sign on the front of the building advertising their Fish Friday and NOFISH! It was for the best anyways to avoid food poisoning.

Here’s some good things I have to say about the Bench pub. The sliders are awesome. They have old school dartboards(!!!). The late nite staff is friendly, and you can find some decent stuff on their jukebox. Nice and low key.

It’s okay. It’s not really good. Not really bad. It’s just sort of there, like the purgatory of bars. Service is pretty good, drinks are alright. It’s a total dump, but not in that«what a cool dive» sort of way. It’s just dumpy. Whatever. Good food, though! Greasy goodness. Sandwiches fried on a flattop. Yum.

Drinks — decent price, but mixed drinks are kind of weak Food — average Crowd — not a place to meet people, quite popular with 50+ males… Bathrooms — pretty clean Saturday is karaōke night, consider this a warning. If you want to head somewhere for a low key weeknight beer go here. If you are looking for a fun night out, go somewhere else!

This place is a bit of a run-down type of joint. We go here with co-workers for lunch usually on tuesdays. On Tuesdays it is «$ 5 bench burger day.» You really can’t go wrong, a decent bench pub burger, with fries for 5 bucks. Makes a decent burger and very friendly staff.

Getting past the fact that the bar is in a strip mall is tough. It has real dart boards so that helps, but otherwise it’s as plain and simple as it gets. Fried food, cheap beer, and a smoky crowd. Pros: Darts Cons: Drunk middle-aged man talking to inanimate objects Bottom line: If it’s late, you are in the area, and the place with«wayne county’s longest bar» is too crowded, then go here.
