It takes weeks to get in to see your primary care doctor. You then have to wait to see a specialist. Very costly as opposed to just being able to go to get they services you need. Their billing department is a nightmare. Our copay is $ 40. Every time we go the receptionist collects your $ 40 before you even see a doctor. Every visit we get a bill in the mail a month later requesting additional money, saying our copay is not $ 40. I now have $ 200 in «overdue» fees that we don’t owe. Our card says a visit to our primary care doctor is $ 40… I cannot wait to change insurance plans so I never have to go back to this place!!!

Edited to add that after this experience I received a letter from my old insurance provider from my former job telling me the Urgent Care billed them for my visit and since I was no longer insured by them I had to pay in full. So they billed the old insurance I had on file not the new one I gave them? BUHHHHHHH. After a number of transfers and button prompts via the Henry Ford automated system I FINALLY was able to speak to a human being who was very nice and took down my new insurance info for me to fix the problem ASAP. She was so nice and helpful that that’s why I didn’t drop this down to one star but what a pain in the patooty.

I would NOT recommend this Medical Center to ANYONE! I have been a patient through Henry Ford Health Systems ever since I was a child, and I have never had such a bad experience until now. I usually go to the Fairlane location, but they were booked, so I went to the Livonia location. I was in pain and looking for answers. The doc I went to ran some tests on me and all but one came back fine. A week after my appointment she called me and informed me of the abnormal test results. She mentioned that cancer was a possibility and said that she would see me in 6 months. I asked for further info and all she could tell me is that I will have to be retested in 6 months. She also sent me some info about my results which said something TOTALLY different than what she told me over the phone. I called her back to get more info, and again, she still couldn’t tell me anything. I like how I might have a life threatening disease and I have been in pain for almost a month and all the doc could tell me was«See you in six months.» Sure, if I’m not dead! I will definitely be going through another health care system from now on. Very uncaring and unprofessional…
