Stopped in here today at lunch time, around 12:10PM. The place was less than than one quarter full. That should have told me something right then. The place is disgustingly filthy. EVERYWHERE! I just shudder thinking what the cooking area is like. Never Again. Bring your Lysol.

This place has the best greek dressing compared to any other coney I’ve ever been to! But the service is not somthing to brag about in the slightest. I don’t think ive ever had a good waitress while eating there.

Definitely not my breakfast place. The grossest gyro omelet I’ve ever had. Big and fluffy but not cooked all the way through… Huge chunks of raw onion and bits of tomato– gyro. The tbsp of feta was melted on top… What??? That’s a first and gross!!! Hashbrowns typical frozen type no flavor and served cold. The best part — the coffee and rye toast. Pancakes small, thin and sweet. The service was I may try the salads, and sandwiches, but never for breakfast

I was fairly surprised by the reviews for here, because I just ate here and the food and service were both very good. Of note, the cheese on the coney is sauce, not shredded, but it’s my first coney island experience, so that may be the norm. The greek salad and dressing are delicious, as is the gyro.

Horrible. Had to send back the entrée salad TWICE because the lettuce was brown and wilted. Finally I said I’ll just eat the chicken since I was on my lunch hour. The waitress brought me a plate of chicken and then charged me two dollars for it despite the fact I had to return two salads.

Stopped in for breakfast today before hitting the auto parts store next door. Ordered pancakes and coffee. Service was great. 3 huge pancakes delivered to table. Very fluffy and tasty. Some of the best I have had lately. Would definitely order them again. Breakfast menu is not as large as other chain coneys but maybe that is a good thing. I have said before that a huge menu anywhere usually results in a lot of poorly cooked items. Do not get here often but it is a go to place in my book.

Their carryout is not nearly as good as when you dine in. I stopped in with my mother in law for a quick bite after a day of shopping. We both ordered cobb salads. Although they didn’t come topped with avocado — when it arrived I was impressed! Large bowl with no skimping on the chicken, cheese, or eggs, olives or onions. As I must review the ranch dressing — its good. Not great, but not bad either. They bring the dressings to you in syrup dispensers — which is nice because you don’t have to ever ask for more, but not so nice for those who have trouble with portion control(ahem– me!). All salads come with a delicious grecian pita — which I kindly took home for hubby with ½ of my salad for leftovers. He liked it so much we went back for lunch the following weekend, and had a second great experience. I debated giving 3 stars after my carryout order today. Still tasty, but not nearly as generous with the salad toppings as when you dine in. Plus they forgot the olives on my salad. Granted — I have only recently had salads here, but for $ 7.95 — what a steal for a good cobb!

Yes they have the norm. The coneys, burgers, yeros and greek salads. All very good and tasty. But, I go here for the breakfasts. In particular l order the Spinach and Feta Omelet. Always light, fluffy and stuffed. Portion sizes are appropriate. Not the feed two or three people kind. The coffee is good, strong, hot and plentiful. They do have a coney special on tuesdays, two for $ 2.62. Food is served up fast. Staff has always been friendly and accomodating.

Kerby’s off of six mile used to be a solid place to go to. The service used to be good to go and the food was good. They shuffled around managers some of the long time wait staff has been replaced with the iphone generation. The food is tossed on the plates with no care or concern, the fries are either undercooked or burnt, the omelets are usually only a big flat egg put over the top of the uncooked or unmixed ingredients, their Coney’s are so so, depends on how the cook slops them together or not, the gyro’s are either grossly overstuffed or barely made. I miss the old quality and service with this location. They have the highest prices going when to Coney Island styles restaurants, their food and service should be much better.

I can’t speak to their breakfast but their hot dogs and fries are pretty solid for your day-to-day coney island. I know, hard to screw those up right… you’d think so but if you’ve been to as many coney joints as I have you know that Kerby’s fares pretty well. The dogs are griddled so they have a nice brown on them and a nice snap. I found the service to be OK if not a little heavy on service staff with a lot of standing around but that’s not my problem… all that aside I suppose I have a soft spot for Kerby’s dating back to high school but I think you could do a lot worse with some of the lesser known coney joints. Senate and Leo’s are still my favs though.

Well, if there was one word that I could use to describe the food and service here that word would be «pathetic»…yes, simply pathetic. Judging by some of the other reviews that I’ve read on Unilocal about most other Kerby’s Koney Islands, I can see they have a great deal of dismal consistency going for them. The quality of the food is probably some of the worst I’ve experienced anywhere. The mushroom and swiss omelet, hash browns, and toast were bland, boring, and ridiculously poorly made. I seriously can make way better food at home with a half dozen eggs and some Meijer bread. My GF who was with me, got the Eggs Benedict, which about an hour later she had try very hard to not throw it up as it made her sick. I’m not even going to waste my time on the service aspect of this place as I hope reading about the food would be enough to steer anyone from ever wanting to come here.

How do I put this flaw of mine delicately? Let’s see. How about I just put it out there. I can’t cook. Ladies, get in line. Quit fighting! For real! There’s enough of my complete lack of a necessary living skill to go around. Well, I guess it’s not entirely true that I can’t cook. I scare up a mean breakfast. That’s not an invitation for anyone in particular to try to spend the night, it’s just a statement. But really, cooking breakfast is both a marketable and a dateable skill. Want to know how I know? I know because this particular Kerby’s Koney Island finds a way to really screw it up. Case in point: my cousin, sister, and I made our way down here early one Saturday morning. Being as it’s a Koney Island, I ordered up a Greek Omelet. Feta, tomato, and onion. Not difficult. What came out was an egg patty with feta melted on top. Really? Did they forget short order cook 101 and not mix in the feta before pouring it on the griddle? You bet! It was accompanied by barely toasted toast and bland hash browns(even after I poured out a good portion of the pepper shaker on top). Winner, winner, room for dinner! At least it was only $ 5.75 down the drain. I honestly don’t expect much from a Kerby’s — they’re kind of the Wal-Mart of the Coney Island family(cheapest, lowest quality, and staffed and frequented by some of the trashiest people on Earth). But this one set a standard so low, I honestly think I could have gone to work in the kitchen and been considered passable(possibly even for lunch or dinner). And, honestly, that is saying something.
