I’ve looked for a diner that’s an easy drive from Ithaca for breakfast on weekend mornings — and this is it. Their breakfasts are excellent and plentiful and cheap, most under $ 6 or $ 7. I can’t get away from the blueberry pancakes but the hash is also to die for. Better coffee than The State, to my tastes anyway. Never been there for any other meal.

A nice, homey diner with good food and friendly service at great prices. This probably isn’t the place to come if you’re dieting because the portions are enormous for the most part(the side order of mac and cheese would feed a family of 4!). After noticing the portion sizes, I attempted to eat reasonably and ordered a chicken caesar salad. There was a generous amount of chicken, which was the best part of the salad, some romaine and a few tomato wedges. Ok, but not great. My dining companion had a reuben(generously sized) and fries, which were both very good. So – avoid the salads, forget your diet and enjoy the homestyle cooking.

I had breakfast here with my bf and his family on a Saturday morning while in NY for his sister’s wedding. They have pretty standard breakfast foods to choose from like eggs, hash browns, omelettes, and french toast. They also have specials which is what I ordered– a spinach and feta omelette(made with egg whites) that came with hash browns and toast– which I gave to the bf and skipped the hash browns. I also got a side of oatmeal which was standard instant oatmeal with a side of brown sugar, but I had the option of getting raisins(which I passed). Our waitress(owner?) seemed a bit miffed I ordered egg whites instead for the omelette, but my meal was delicious nonetheless! The coffee was decent and refills aplenty. Since there are few places for breakfast close to the venue we stayed at, this was mostly our only option, but I would come again. I do wish they had a few more choices– different omelettes or egg choices, maybe some yogurt and granola as well. But you can beat the prices and fast service! Plenty of parking, a little tight squeeze inside if busy, kind of out of date décor, but a great place for breakfast in the area! Major tip– CASHONLY. And there are few ATMs in the area.

A great family diner with good homey food. It’s like Denny’s but cheaper and less kitschy. The parking isn’t very good, but it’s doable. The waitress was really nice and friendly, and very knowledgeable about the menu and specials.

Linda’s is a great place. I’ve NEVER had a bad meal there and the waitresses are super. It’s so great that sometimes it’s hard to get a table! Wish they had a larger seating area, but other than that I wouldn’t change a thing.

I love Linda’s. It’s definitely worth driving out from Ithaca — delicious eggs, toast, home fries, and coffee, all for less than $ 5. I’ve heard excellent things about their french toast and pancakes, but I can’t pull myself away from getting eggs. Significantly better than any of the diner’s in Ithaca, at least for breakfast. I’ve never been for dinner.
