Delicious food! They have the BEST scallops and filet I’ve ever had and fair pricing. The only thing I would change is the dated décor…

I consider myself a hardcore carnivore and this place has some of the best tasting prime rib ever. Yum!

Prime rib was great. However you should disclose allergens in the menu. What should have been a lovely celebration with friends got a little scary for me.

Probably the best food in western N Y. Great staff and owner with family make going there a memorable experience. Prime Rib to die for and reasonable prices make Danny Shehan’s my favorite place to dine.

You just can’t beat good ol Danny Sheehans. The price is unbelievable for the food you get. Especially the beef entrees. From 12oz bacon wrapped filet mignon to 20os porterhouse, the price is 1⁄3 of your favorite steak house and the cut just as good! A must try!

Great place. Got the filet mignon and was done exactly how I asked. Served with garlic toast and a side. Service was excellent too. Get a very family vibe from he place.

Best bang for your buck in all of WNY!!! Owner and staff are fantastic and always friendly. Probably the nicest wait staff I have ever seen. The food quality is typically very good. French onion soup is fantastic. Appetizers: stuffed bake clams and the stuffed sausage cherry peppers are great. Surf and turf for $ 42 is a must have…8oz filet special and then add the tail — it’s a must have. With dinner you will be doing yourself a disservice if you don’t get an order of their onion rings — they are to die for!!! Now the quality of their filets isn’t super high end but it’s very good especially for the price. This is a great casual place to bring your whole family or just a date. The place is dated and nothing fancy but the food more then makes up for that.

Consistently good! Year round restaurant week special for around $ 20.14 includes soup, salad, potato, garlic toast, and entrée. Great manhattans too! Efficient and friendly staff. It is our place to go to in Lockport for a great steak. Great lobster tails too.

I’ve been coming to Danny Sheehans for over 17 years… and in that time Sheehans has continued to consistently put out quality food in a comfortable atmosphere for a great price. From the days when Danny and Betty Sheehan where running things till today with the Ennis family. Danny Sheehans Steakhouse stands as a crown jewel in the Lockport area and dare I say Niagara County. I recommend the Baked Stuffed Clams a personal favorite.

Food was amazing. That should be the entire review. No seriously, it looks awful on the outside. You would not think food quality would not be that good considering how run down the building looks. The décor is very dated, the service is well paced. Soups came out shortly after ordering, when soups were cleared salads came, when salads were cleaned we got our meal. Huge portions for the money, so worth it. My steak was cooked to perfection and my lobster tail wasn’t overdone! They have a dessert tray too, TRYTHEMALL! Just do it. Definitely a must try if you’re in the Lockport area!

This place is a little outdated and small, but the food never disappoints! We went for a birthday party and had 22 people and they had a back patio that was able to accomodate all of us. The staff was so friendly and very helpful. The french onion soup is always hot and flavorful. They have prime rib and it is always cooked just right! They are the only place that still gives rainbow sherbert with the prime rib a special little touch. Even after the soup, salad, meat and potaoes I always save room for their cheesecake. It is the best in town! so creamy and rich and never lets me down! The food and service is amazing and wll worth the price!

We had 7:00 reservations for 4. Waited at bar until 7:45 and went to the owner to inquire about our table. His response was short and rude and told me to talk to the hostess. Hostess told me that we arrived at 7:30 and would have to wait. Well, we arrived at 6:45 and checked in with the same hostess and that was made clear to her. When owner walked back, we asked how much longer we would need to wait and he ignored us. When we went back to the bar, owner proceeded to give us dirty looks. At 8:00, after a one hour wait, we asked again about a table. We were told by the owner that if we don’t stop«chirping» we could leave. Well, I really didn’t want a confrontation and didn’t want to spend my money at this establishment, so we left. As an aside, I ordered a Jim Beam on the rocks which is my normal drink and didn’t think this is what I was drinking even though I saw it poured out of a Jim Beam bottle. I assume this place is cheap prices but cheap food and very bad manners.

Lockport tradition, been here for ages. I think my last visit was 20+ years ago… had this on my list! Still the same interior I remember. There is a narrow hall between the bar and tables, with a coat rack running the length. You have to walk through the bar and this hall to find the hostess. The restaurant is all wood paneling, with leather chairs. There is a back patio area(enclosed, heated)– just has a totally different vibe. Feels kinda cheap compared to the«old» area. Service is 5 stars. Period. Waitress was on her game, even as the place filled up; remembered our drink orders for the second round, too. Inoticed they mix the table assignments up between areas of the restaurant, so she had to hustle between the old/new sections, as well as the bar(was thoughtful enough to tell us the bar was backed up, too, when we hadn’t received our drinks yet. No big deal, we noticed it was busy in the bar, wasn’t going to hold it against her. But was still cool.). And the bar knows their drinks(note: the website lists all kinds of funky martinis, but they don’t provide a list for the table… would be a big plus. Bring your smartphone, martinis are $ 5-$ 6, which is awesome). Food: Hit and miss. Cheese and crackerplate was good– retro dining with my manhattan. I got prime rib, was awesome, excellent cut. Honey glazed carrots on the side were pretty good – tasted sweet, but weren’t glazed with honey(just boiled). You get garlic or plain toast, which was ok… one of the few places that still does that. Also that sixde of sherbet… old school touch. Wife had salmon bruschetta with au gratin potatoes; the bruschetta wasn’t that flavorful(even though it had onions and peppers), salmon was just okay. Ended up eating the salmon without it. Potatoes were really good, she said she would get them again. Only other thought: People were wearing jeans and sweats, so you can dress casually. I always thought this was a dressy-uppy place, but times change.(Note: if you feel the need to wear a bluetooth constantly, please have your best friend slap you in that ear. Just a pet peeve of mine, nothing to do with the restaurant, although there was a woman there wearing one). I’ll likely go back sometime. Good food, good service, stick with meat and potatoes instead of fish/fowl(although the fish fry is supposed to be great). Try and be seated in the«regular» eating area(wood walls), I was kind of disappointed we weren’t, as the back area didn’t have the Don Draper vibe of the rest of the place.

I know many, who love Danny Sheehan’s, so we have decided to give it more than one chance.(We gave it 4).Two times our dinners were very good. Two times they were not. Actually, everything but the steak was good.-Soup(french onion, excellent!) Salad-fine, garlic bread-yum.Steak, really not good at all. The restaurant is old and outdated, sometimes it doesn’t smell very pleasant-like fish gone bad. It doesn’t look especially clean either. It does seem to be very busy whenever we have gone, so they must be doing something right. We though, won’t be going back.

I’ve been dining at Sheehan’s since Danny and Betty opened it in the 1960’s. It hit a rough spell after the Sheehan’s retired, but since Mike and Kris Ennis and their family assumed ownership, it is back on top. The seafood platter is excellent, as is the filet, and for that matter, everything. I had a luncheon for my retiree group this week — the food was outstanding, as was the service.

Had dinner Friday night with family. Restaurant was crowded(usually a good sign), but the wait was only 15 minutes. We had baked fish(very good), steak sandwich(looked very good), and Caesar salad with steak. The salad had a touch too much dressing on it(and I like dressing), but this was a bit too much. It was very large. The steak was cooked perfectly, medium as ordered and was tender. The garlic toast was a nice treat. All in all, a good experience at a bit of an out of the way location. I’d go again.

It is sad what the different owners have done to this restaurant. I lived in the area for 38 years and this place was always standing room only on Fridays and Saturdays. The rest of nights of the week saw decent volume also. Yet none of the owners reinvested a penny of the profits into the building. The outside looks like it may crumble at any moment. The bar and eating areas have been maintained to some extent. but hopefully you never have to use the restroom here. It will destroy your appetite. I gave the restaurant 2 stars because the broiled seafood dinner is fantastic. Make sure that you get either the home fries or the potatoes au gratin as your side dish. They are both the best that you will ever find.

My bad. I guess I offended someone who is from Lockport. So, no offense to folks from Lockport. It’s a lovely town. And I didn’t get the name wrong. That is how it was listed on Unilocal: Sheehan’s Danny Steak House.
