Best Chinese I’ve had in Lockport, they’re friendly and fast with good cheap price. They only take cash or check though and don’t deliver but still great!

Lovin’ Spoonful(AKA Norb has opinions on everything Restaurant Division :) Address: 1187 Lincoln Ave, Lockport, NY14094, Phone:(716) 434‑1999, Hours: 11:00AM — 11:00PM. We usually order from the lunch menu, take it home and have it for dinner. It’s a lot less expensive and does reheat well in the micro wave. Legal disclaimer, the take out comes in an aluminum container so you have to transfer it to a different container to reheat it. This week was unusual for Donna and I as we both were available for lunch one day. We had just gotten new footed bowls and we wanted to try them with Chinese Food. We ordered from Mayflower and as usual we were told 10 Minutes. I think anything you order there always takes 10 minutes. She had the #L 28 Kung Po Shrimp @ $ 5.25. I had the #L 21 Hunan Beef but substituted Shrimp for the beef(it’s not on the menu) @ $ 4.95. We got both of these with Shrimp Fried Rice and Won Ton soup which come with the lunch. The portion size is very generous in fact we usually have enough left over for a second meal. I think this is one of the best values in Lockport. Because it is in a strip mall, there is adequate parking and it is handicapped accessible. We go back time and time again. I give them a 9 out of 10.

I always enjoy the food at the Mayflower. This establishment is extremely clean and the staff is courteous. The food is always prepared very quickly. I always get the General Tso and some sort of lo mein. I have not been disappointed. The food always tastes very good and I like that it is not too oily or greasy. It is cash only, so be prepared to have cash in hand when you go.

First time here for lunch. Had the lunch special of Hunan chicken with hot & sour soup. The hot & sour soup is pretty much flavorless & gelatinous. Two spoonfuls of that & im done. Pretty bad. Now on to the Hunan chicken with rice. The rice is absolutely flavorless. The chicken is cooked well as are the green peppers & broccoli but again very little flavor. You do get a small hint of the black bean sauce but the sauce is just much too thick. I’m truly disappointed as the location is very convenient & the owners are very friendly. I may give them another try in the future & try a different dish.

Best Chinese food in WNY. I usually order the General TSO’s chicken so I compare that with other Chinese restaurants. I look for nice and hot, well flavored with the just right amount of spice and crispiness. They manage to hit that each and every time. When they say it’ll be ready in 10 minutes, they hit that each and every time as well. You will not be disappointed here.

I would say the food here is good. We have gotten take out maybe a half dozen times. There are things we love and others that tend to have a bland flavor. We have really enjoyed there vegetable egg fu young, spring rolls and a tofu dish under the veggie section(can’t remember the name). I will say these folks are really fast, so this is a great place to stop on the way home from work. Just make sure you have cash or you will have to walk across the street to the CVS pharmacy ATM.

Garlic chicken, shrimp & lobster sauce, General Tso’s chicken, chicken & mushrooms, and beef on a stick are all really good here. The egg drop soup and fried cheese wontons are also yummy. This is my go-to chinese food place ever since Emperor Ming’s closed on Transit. I usually order a large pickup order and it takes 15 – 20 minutes. I’ve been going here for a couple of years and they rarely make a mistake on my order. Staff is friendly and serving size is generous.

I’ve heard a lot about this place & the reviews were predominantly good to great. So I tried. I got what I consider a true test for chinese food. Orange chicken. And they failed. The corn starch to chicken ratio was 80⁄20. 20% chicken is disappointing to say the least. Especially after reading the reviews. The recipe itself was good. But not great. Lacked sodium & Of course I added sriracha but that’s my need for heat. Egg roll was standard frozen egg roll. Fried rice was ok. And the broccoli was undercooked. I give it 2 stars bc I won’t give anything a 1 without the service coming into play. I’ll give them 1 more shot at a dish that can’t hide the lack of protein in corn starch.

Bring cash! They don’t take plastic. I like the steamed dumplings and the shrimp with garlic sauce.

Not many places do China quite like these Chinese people. Prices are fair and when they say ten minute they don’t lie. Food is alway piping hot till it drops. And they are very friendly unlike other Chinese restaurants in the area. I usually stick with the general tso chicken with an egg roll or two and fried rice and it’s great. Only down side is their menu isn’t online :(so I took a few photos and put them up for my Unilocalers to see what I’m talking about! Enjoy!

This is only my second 5 star review and here it begins. If you think you what to have a horrible rating experience and a shot at food poisoning choose any of the other Chinese places in lockport, as a bonus you’ll even get to see child labor and a if your lucky a chance to see how indentured slavery works. Now to the Mayflower. It’s just good and not gross, they have all of the standard Americanized classics and best of all it’s pretty damn cheap. When calling it’s 10 minute and they are always right and fresh.

I won’t go as far as saying this is the best Chinese food ever. What I will say, is for Lockport this is the best Chinese you can get. If you order you can expect your food to be ready in about 10 minutes, Regardless of what you order. Food is pretty good, fresh, convenient and they don’t mind changing things… For example extra spicy, chicken fried rice instead of pork fried rice, etc. The people here are always very pleasant and accommodating. The combos are reasonably priced. They have a wide variety of things on the menu, sure to please your palette. I myself enjoy their General Tso Chicken or Chicken Lo Mein(extra spicy). My wife enjoys the Sweet and Sour Chicken. The biggest downside I can think of is that they are cash only. I am not certain but I don’t believe they deliver anymore. Don’t go out of your way to get this food, however if you in the area I highly recommend this is a stop for all of your Chinese food needs!

I only trust a handful of restaurants in WNY with my Chinese food and Mayflower in Lockport is definitely on the list. They continually deliver excellent food that always tastes fresh and has great flavor! You can dine in, they have a few tables that my friends and I used to occupy while in high school but I would suggest take out. The staff is extremely friendly and your order will always be ready in 10 – 15 minutes! The only drawback is that the restaurant only accepts cash sometimes making it slightly inconvenient but otherwise Mayflower is the way to go for Chinese in Lockport!

Beware if you are sensitive to MSG, as this place has great food but definitely uses it. After 3 severe migraines shortly after eating here, I learned to stay away.

This place has absolutely the most delicious Chinese food! My favorite dish would be the Chicken in Garlic Sauce, possibly followed by the Curry Shrimp with Onions. The best part about this place is that they will customize a dish. If asked, they will replace beef with chicken or not include any vegetables you specifiy. This is a large place and I am impressed at how clean it is. The service is friendly and always smiling. Sometimes I order by phone. But sometimes I like to order in person, because they’re close to other stores I like to wander in. Their Beef on a Stick is pretty good too. And the Fried Cheese Wontons are to die for! And lets not forget the Egg Drop Soup. I can go on and on. Everything is so delicious at the Mayflower!
