If you love nachos like I do then you can appreciate my experience at Taco Patio. I swung through the drive through, and when I opened the to-go box(which weighed about 4 pounds) the holy grail of nachos welcomed me. A mound of fresh chips was piled with refried beans, nicely seasoned ground beef, guacamole, sour cream, green onions, nacho cheese, and tomatoes. It was truly a beautiful sight to behold. The portions are incredibly generous for a reasonable price. I have to tell you it was a treat digging in to those nachos. The service was very friendly, helpful, and prompt. It’s well worth a stop if you need your Midwestern Mexican food fix!

Joseph W. Is a goof that is trying to slam a decent family working hard to make a living. Not a spec of grease anywhere. Bet he has some connection to the Mexican joint he gave 5 stars to. the only place he hasn’t slammed. Any one that bothers rating KFC on Unilocal and is disappointed should have their membership revoked. Taco Patio is VERYCLEAN& run by a great group of people I have been lucky enough to get to know personally over the last two years. They have taken time to know me & my family & what is going on in our lives. How many places treat you anything other than a number? Food is always fresh & quality. Is it the best«Mexican» food? Nope! But it is solid & I will sacrifice a little authenticity for quality, hard working independent ownership any day. Give them a try and form your own opinion. My suggestion, try the chorizo… homemade in house, very flavorful & not greasy like most commercial chorizo.

Had a craving all day for their nachos. Always a pleasure! Love the burritos here too! The horchata is just like what I grew up on when my friends mom used to make it. Always satisfied by their food taste and portions.

I really want to like this place but I just can’t anymore. The owner is a very nice guy but the quality of the meat they use is absolutly horrible. Every few months I go back to give them another chance and hope maybe they have fixed it but I get the same result every time. I always get a Steak Burrito and every time(not once in a while, I mean every single time) it is filled with some steak and a ton of chewy uneatible grizzle. Today was the last straw when I had the usual grizzle but also a large amount of small bones that almost cracked my tooth. The meat quality is the worst I’ve ever seen. I really hope they fix the problem because the location is great and the drive through is convenient. I also want the area small businesses to do well, but I just can’t go back after giving them so many chances. Change the supplier and improve quality and I will be back.

I ate there and got instantly sick. The inside of the place just smells like grease is caked all over the walls.

Solid tex mex place. They are not authentic nor do they try to be. Plenty of parking, well lit lot. Open late. Prices are fair. Food is slightly above average but nothing spectacular. I had the enchiladas, my dining companion had the quesadillas. Both came w/rice n beans. they were nothing special. My disappointment in the chicken enchiladas was small bits of chicken instead of shredded chicken which is whats customary in the authentic world. Anyway they are solid as a tex mex place. I suppose you can do worse.

Somewhat good service. Saw the food makers make my food without gloves… which is horrifying at best. Also their tacos seem to be assembled by a kindergartener. Sloppy and drowned in lettuce. Whats the point in doing that? Second time I went I got a burrito. It was good. But not good enough to come back for.

I ordered a steak taco boat and it tasted like soap. The place is essentially a desperate try for a chain to be authentic. Absolutely terrible food!

I met some friends here late night after a motorcycle ride. I didn’t plan on eating anything but my buddy let me have a steak taco he didn’t touch, so that’s all my review was good for. I was expecting something small, mushy and Taco Bell-esque, what I got was definitely not that. The taco could have been a burrito, it was that big. They wrap them in 2 shells so I made two decently sized tacos out of it. It was pretty tasty, definitely higher quality than what you would assume. Can’t comment on the price or service because I really didn’t buy or order anything. The inside is open late and they also have a drive thru. I’d come back.

Decent place. Kinda like a fast food taco restaurant, but definitely a few steps up from taco bell. The food’s good, the employees are nice, a little expensive for what it is though.

They have a drive-thru, which is rare for a solid Mexican joint. I wouldn’t say that it’s incredible, but it’s pretty solid food. I got a burrito and a torta. The steak burrito was pretty good, but definitely not great. There was a lot of meat and the pieces were smaller than I’ve ever seen. It didn’t seem like the meat was cooked on a really hot grill because there was no sear, but it was still ok. I also got a milanesa torta. This is actually the first time that I’ve gotten a milanesa torta anywhere. It’s like a chicken fried steak sandwich. The bread and condiments were really good and there was a nice amount of perfect avocado. But I think the steak was just a little overcooked. The breading was a little burnt, but it wasn’t inedible and it was within a margin of being good, just a little overcooked.

Good food, but far too overpriced. I would rather drive to new Lenox or Joliet to go to burrito loco. Bigger portions good quality and cheaper prices at burrito loco.

Hit or miss. nothing to write home about. And when its bad its awful! They reheat stuff in the microwave.. Pretty high priced for this low quality food. my friend has bought from this place and shared once it wasn’t too bad.

Authentic Mexican food, full of flavor and quality ingredients. Unfortunately they can be quite slow on service, even when it’s not busy hours. They can also be a bit heavy-handed with the salt. Other than that my husband and I have great experiences here and have barely scratched the surface of trying their extensive menu.

Convenient & tasty! Always fast and friendly at this place. I usually get the nacho supreme without chips.

Why does your food have to be so greasy? Not too good, prices are kind of high, but there really is no competition without having to go to Joliet.

Surprised I haven’t reviewed taco patio yet, my husband and I get it a few times a month. We’ve had steak tacos, pork tacos, burritos, cheese fries with beef, quesadillas… all have been great except had a chicken enchilada before and it was just eh. Love the rice and beans and the hot sauce is good, too. 4 stars because it’s always pretty greasy.
