RIP a drive down Lodi Ave is my depressing walk down memory lane passed Andres where my boyfriend and I would go when craving a delicious burger and garlic fries. They always had great service and delicious fresh food it truly is a shame.

Great food. Good service. Only critique is dirty floor. Slipped on a mustardy onion on the ground trying to stand up from my seat. REVISION: Just called the phone number for this place and a woman answered. With the speed in which she called me back, I can only assume it was someone’s personal cell number and not the restaurants landline… bummer… I had plans to go back.

I drove from Sacramento to visit the Serpentarium, but the burger i got here stole the show. I would easily eat here once a week if it were in Sacramento. I got the double cheeseburger with 1lb patties and walked away very happy. A+ for quality A+ for price B+ for décor: Its a little dated, little bit worn, but overall it’s acceptable as casual.

This is a great place for lunch. One of the best hamburgers I have had for awhile. Good prices, large portions(my daughter and I split a half pounder) our waitress was very polite and very helpful.

I am SOHAPPY I bought the Unilocal coupon! This place was a joke! I went there today and it was close to NOON(LUNCHTIME) and me and my family was the only customers there! GOFIGGER. Our burgers were very dry and our buns were burnt. My Garlic Fries had no flavor, but there sure was A LOTOF oil. My husband tried the sweet potato fries and there was NOTHING special about them. My Son ordered a corn dog and the corn dog was so dry the hot dog was hard to chew! I was really disappointed with the FOOD! I was highly recommended by a friend too! I was hoping for something way better! My case still stands! I am a IN and OUT type a GAL!

So I’ve been to Andres a few times and I usually always order the French dip because that’s something I love. And although I know it’s a burger place, I still really enjoy it. The food is great, never had any complaints about the employees. Only thing is the place is a little shabby, they should spruce up the décor a bit!

Hadn’t been in for a while, noticed that they have shrunk back to their original size. Took a co worker here today, he really enjoyed the blue cheese fries and the MOS burger. My California burger was good, hopefully next time they have the sprouts. I remember the breakfasts here being good, but they no longer serve them. Fresh ingredients and on point service! Do be aware that they are cash only.

This was the first time eating here in a long time. Now I remember why. I would go back again if I had the coupon. The front person kept talking about how busy they were, but it was only me and one other guy picking up and one couple just finished eating. I know they have been there for a long time so maybe I just caught them at a bad time. I do think they should get a credit/debit machine though. Pros: Good deal with 10 for 20 coupon close to home Cons: Burger was dry and skimpy Took 15 minutes longer than what I was told. Cash only Front counter guy seemed overwhelmed and under experienced

Went to revisit this Burger joint, Me and my wife had the same burger, the Jalapeño ½ burger. She enjoyed hers, Mine not so good. I couldn’t get home fast enough. I felt like I needed to drink a bottle of Drano to clear the grease out of my esophagus and the rest of my digestive system. Service was ok, but the Place has went down hill since the last time I was there, and shrunk in size as well. If it wasn’t for the coupon and the fact I had to be up in Lodi for another reason, I would have just ate at A&W or any other fast food place. Eater beware … Their food prices were OK. This place is a Hole-in-the-wall.

«Best Burgers In Town!!!» is the title line on Andre’s website. I have to agree, but I also recommend the burger at Wine & Roses for their lunch menu, however you won’t be getting as good of a deal as Andre’s. ______ This is the fourth stop on the tour of restaurants I’ve visited to remember the loss of my Father who was an avid Unilocaler, please check out R.L.‘s reviews to help me remember him( ) My dad gave Andre’s five stars on a regular basis, and that man really knew his hamburgers, so that really says a lot. This is probably my third or fourth time coming to Andre’s and this was the best experience I’ve ever had here. It’s been a few years and I think they started using better beef, because last time I was not happy with the texture of the meat. This time it was great. I ordered the Black & Blue burger with onion rings. I decided to get the full pound burger, because I wanted to do as my dad would have done. I was able to handle the gigantic burger with the onion rings, but it was definitely an uphill battle towards the end. The blue cheese on the burger was a little mild for my liking but it still was a great burger. The onion rings were excellent and very crispy; the upcharge for onion rings was well worth it and that’s the way I would recommend going.

After finishing some Grocery Shopping at Rancho San Miguel and Smart & Final, I biked West on Lodi Avenue intending to go back home. As I passed by Andre’s Burgers, I noticed the space was totally Vacant with a «For Rent» sign in the window. I crossed the street, parked my Bicycle in front of the«new» Andre’s location which is their original location of four years ago and walked in to inquire about the move to their«new» location. After conversing with the waiter for a few minutes… Andre moved back into the smaller area because Andre’s never«filled» the adjacent space with customers. Andre moved back to their old space about a month and a half ago. Decided to stay for a Burger… On the menu… Teriyaki & Pineapple Burger(*** $ 9.25−1Pounder)( )( ) Served with Lettuce, Tomato, Onion and Mayo between a toasted Genova Bun. Topped with Teriyaki Sauce and Grilled Pinapple I decided on something TOTALLY different this afternoon… just because… I would NEVEREVER order something sweet and savory… especially a Hamburger. Despite the fact that this is one of Andre’s best-selling Burgers… Nothing really objectionable about it… I just did not like it. But, I could say now that I tried it. Sweet and Savory just does not do it for me… despite what Samuel L Jackson says about Big Kahuna Burgers in «Pulp Fiction»… «I hear they got some tasty burgers! … Mmm-mmmm. That is a Tasty Burger!» Iced Tea(*** ½ $ 1.75) Unlimited Refills… Pics of «new”-“but, not really» Exterior and Interior… ( )( )( )( )( )( ) BTW, Andre’s is still looking for a Cook… until this position is filled, there will not be any Breakfasts in this restaurant’s future.

I had a half-pound MOS burger(mushrooms & onions sautéed with swiss cheese) and chili cheese fries, while my bf had a half-pound hickory burger and seasoned fries. They were all DELICIOUS! Oh, and service was definitely a plus because she was so nice and helpful! We’ll definitely come here again on a day we’re craving bomb-y burgers while in Stockton.

Andre’s supplies arguably the best burgers in Lodi. The sheer number of flavor selection for the fries is undoubtedly overwhelming. Allow Joe, the Great and Terrible French Fry Sorcerer, to make the choice easier: don’t pick anything with ranch flavor. They sprinkle an indescribable ranch flavored powder on top of your scrumptious spuds, turning a worthy side into a pile of sandy mess. In other news, the interior décor is obviously lacking. Can’t have everything I guess. Your in-laws may not like to go here because it doesn’t look good, but YOU know its what’s inside that counts, right? I forgot I gotta review the food. Excellent burgers, and fairly nice breakfast options to boot. Well done.

I am very impressed with their burgers and fries. This is the second time I have been there. The first time, I ordered one of the regular burgers, the Andre’s Classic and it was decent tasting. Though, the second time, I got the ½ lbs M.O.S. Burger and it was much better tasting. The burger has Mushrooms(grilled), Onions(grilled), and Swiss Cheese. I picked the famous fries with Cheddar and Ranch. The fries are even better than I imagined they would be when I ordered them. I thought it would be regular ranch, but they sprinkled powered ranch on them along with real cheddar cheese. The other person in my party got a ½ lbs Rootie Burger and asked to add Ortega Chili. The burger comes with jack cheese, avocado, and sour cream(along with the normal lettuce, tomato, and red onion). The decorations and tables aren’t much to look at, but the only thing that really matters to me about a restaurant is if it is clean and tastes good.

Only been here once and wasn’t that hungry so I just had some Bacon Cheddar Ranch fries. I expected real Bacon on them, but it looked something like someone sprinkled one of those ranch dressing mixes on them. Will give them another chance though since everyone seems to love this place.

From the looks of the place inside you dont really know what to expect(weird lighting, plastic chairs, odd layout of dining room) But its all about the food right? I tried the traditional Andre burger just to test the waters. YESPLEASE! It was fantastic. The freshest burger ive probably ever had. Fresh tomatoes, onions, green leafy lettuce and a wheat bun. Not greasy at all. So good. I had the potato soup as my side and it was equally as good. very creamy and delicious. Me and my buddy split a strawberry shake(which was handscooped and used real strawberry ice cream, not syrup) it was great plus the waitress only charged us 2 dollars for it! My meal: 1⁄3 burger with potato soup side= 5.75. Everything on the menu seemed reasonably priced. I want to go back soon, there are tons of different burger options plus you can build your own burger with plenly of toppings to choose from. If youre in lodi and happen to want a burger go to Andres.

We went in for our first time today. A couple of guys from work had ordered burgers from here before and they had told me about the Mad Dog and I had to try it, seeing as it was so close to home. As soon as we walked it, the waiter, I believe his name was Danny, made our first experience a great one. He didn’t go out of his way to entertain us, but he went out of his way to give us great service. This guy was very down-to-earth and anytime we needed something he got it for us right away. It was great. Service at Andre’s is superb. As soon as we got our menus Danny came straight out and asked, how many Mad Dogs?! We initially went to have one of us try it, and out of six, I was the one brave enough to give it a try. He got that one started right away. We ordered and waited amongst ourselves. Our food came fast and it was overall a great experience. Because I had taken on the Mad Dog challenge I didn’t really get to enjoy the taste of my burger, but my friends enjoyed theirs. My girlfriend did say, though, she would come here with friends but not if it was a daily and that she wanted a simple burger. My other friends loved their burgers and their fries, each ordered a different kind so we could all taste them. Our favorites was the garlic Parmesan, those were delicious. Unfortunately, I went into the challenge with a half full stomach and failed the challenge. About 20 minutes into the 30 minute challenge I threw in the towel. I hadn’t been that full in a long time. Just looking at the burger after that point made me want to puke. Aside from my own bad experience with the Mad Dog challenge, Andre’s was a great restaurant. I look forward to many more lunches here.

Yup. I totally agree with Mary… the Mad Dog 2 pounder is an insane hamburger.(see my ‘before’ and ‘after’ photos) See. they have this challenge at Andre’s. Eat the 2 pound $ 13 Mad Dog burger in 30 minutes or less. and it’s free. Sounds easy? Should be compared to what that guy on Man vs. Food eats! AND I was hungry! See. it’s not just the burger. it’s the extra lettuce, pickles, tomato slices, onions, big bun, four slices of cheese, extra french fries that make it a real challenge. Plenty of people have attempted it and some have finished and had their photo taken and placed on the winners board, but alas, I will never be among them. I had enough meat left over to make six regular McDonald’s hamburgers! Give it a try. hey, free food!(if you finish it!) ;)

Andre’s is simply one of the better burger options around; quality ingredients, plenty of tasty burger choices, and RIDICULOUS amount of fry style options. They might as well have a separate menu for just the different types of fries! If you need atmosphere do the Lodi Beer Co because Andre’s is low key… people in sweats low key. I don’t do burgers often and want quality when I do. Andre’s doesn’t disappoint. The breakfast menu looks good as well as affordable too, but I’ve just stuck with burgers and tried a very good spicy chicken sandwich as well. **Note: No booze available.** Now, where’s that Man vs Food guy for Andre’s Mad Dog burger challenge???
