Cut the Mustard

I just love this place. The sandwiches are so good, and the customer service is truly out of this world! Understand, it’s in an industrial area, and there’s NO «restaurant-​type» ambiance – but if your goal is getting a good sandwich, it shouldn’t matter. I’ve never ordered anything I did not love. I can only speak to the sandwiches (they also have soups and salads, but I love the sandwiches so much, I haven’t tried these – but I bet they’re equally good), which are excellent without being «fussy» or expensive. The BBQ chicken sandwich was life-​changing for me – seriously. It’s JUST! SO! GOOD! Chris (the owner) is awesome and has a rock-​solid personal commitment to customer service (a rare find, these days). In summary: A good, solid, no-​frills place for honest food & excellent service.

Do you want a great sandwich where the owner actually knows your name? If you’ve been into this establishment 3 times, the owner will likely greet you by name and possibly ask you if you want the usual, if you’ve ordered the same sandwich each time. The owner and his employees are always friendly, the place is spotless, the ingredients are the highest quality and I’ve got nothing negative to say about these people! :-) Well, let me think about that, these guys do close at 3 o’clock in the afternoon, sometimes shut the grill down a little sooner than I’d like, but shoot, Cut the Mustard opens at the crack of dawn, I think at 7 a.m. A happy man must lead a balanced life and the owner always has a smile for you!

The French Dip here is the best in town by a bunch. 25 people eating there while I was enjoying my sandwich tells me others think kindly of it as well.
The line moves quickly so they are staffed right for the lunch rush.
Service, cleanliness, freshness, flavor all excellent.
Mostly blue collar crowd helps keep prices in line. Very reasonable prices on Potato salad and Macaroni salad sides. For sure I am coming here again.
Could have been 5 stars, but gave 4 stars because the French Dip au jus was clearly from a bottle and the restroom could have used a quick wipe down (but not bad). Neither of those would prevent my return but had to mention them.

I newly discovered this place. I love sandwiches. I can call order it over the phone. It’s ready by the time I get there. Hella good sandwiches!!!

Location is not great for myself BUT that doesn’t stop me from stopping by when I can.

They have a yummy french dip. I usually just order some sliced deli meat and cheese for my little guy. Atmosphere is nice and open with a lot of natural light.

Stopped for lunch on our way home. Nice clean friendly place. Had the Julia Sky sandwich it was so fresh.

The stuff that cut the mustard is the stuff that smiles and ask if you have any questions about the items on the menu my favorite item on the menu is a Boston bomber which is why my favorite sandwiches I love it a lot better than Subway

A Fun Place To Eat!
Everything at this place is delicious, The thing that got me hooked originally is The GodFather sandwich but now I have moved on to either a tuna melts on a croissant or Cal Club on Sliced MultiGrain.
The Location is convenient for me since I work around the corner, the staff is really friendly, they go above and beyond to make sure you are happy with whatever you ordered.

Great family owned Deli! Foods great and the people are great. My dad eats there everyday and they take the time to get to know there customers and make you part of the team!

I’m just not a huge fan of their sandwiches — they are just okay, nothing great. Their service is good, and they are always really nice, but no matter what sandwich I try, I am never overly impressed.

I am a huge fan of sandwiches and usually don’t go out of the spectrum when I get a craving but I decided to try Cut The Mustard and I was not disappointed at all. They have a huge variety of sandwiches, which I loved, at a fair price. I wish they weren’t so far on the outskirts of Lodi when you’re on a time limit it becomes an inconvenience.

You cannot find better service than here. They are above and beyond friendly but not in the annoying kind of way. The sandwiches are delicious, they use local produce and premium breads and cheeses, as well as premium high quality meat. Super yummy. I drive out of my way to come eat here

BLT is the bomb here. Meats and cheeses are top of the line. Friendly, fast customer service is by far the best! Never disappointed.

Club sandwich was good and staff is friendly. My only complaint is actually an easy fix for the owner. The chip selection is horrible, a costco variety doritos box is all they offer. Chips and sandwiches go together like peanut butter and jelly, get a legitimate selection of chips. I honestly probably won’t go back just because I had to make another stop just to get a decent bag of chips (dirty sour cream and onion… Hint hint).

I just started working in Lodi, and I cant get enough of this place.
The service is GREAT! everyone is always upbeat and super nice.
but most importantly the food is fantastic. I had a French dip and it was to die for. Melt in your mouth delicious! Chris Troy, one of the owners asked me to call him if it wasn’t the best French dip ive ever had, needless to say I didn’t have to call. :)

I had honestly never heard of this place until I started working on that side of town. When my coworkers took me there I was pleasantly surprised. This is actually my favorite sandwich place in town now.
The owner is there every day and couldn’t be friendlier. My kids always ask to go there when they’re out of school. We’re all big fans!
