Excellent hot dogs off route 46 in Lodi. Everything was fresh and hot. Really just like the hot dogs here and not aware of anything else on menu other than drinks. I always get two to go and eat them in my car.

Been here a few times, the people are always really nice and they want to put a smile on your face. The onion sauce is terrific and the chili is the bomb. It has a kick to it and tastes so great you’ll want more. They sell various drinks for the side and many different hotdog combinations. This is probably one of my favorite places to get a bite to eat.

A hot dog is just a hot dog until it gets to hang Springs there’s nothing like the chili that was created in 1970 an amazing secret recipe that will never be duplicated and can only be found in one place. Will never be mass produced a replicated again I all time favorite since I was a child and will be forever

Their all beef franks taste great. Their service is super fast so if you go there for lunch you can still get back to work on time. I wish they had French fries on the menu. I think they only serve lunch.

Hanks Franks is the place to go and has excellent service. I usually get the potato dog and the Texas dog, both taste great and offer a lot of flavor. If you’re not in the mood for those toppings, they have several others to choose from as well. I also love their buy 8 get 1 free special and enjoy the visit every time I come here.

Good quality dirty water dog. Got the spicy Texas which wasn’t that spicy. Nothing special but a good quality dog, not a cheap frank thrown on a bun.

I’m giving 3 stars because it’s just ok this place is a gold mine its location is perfect. I don’t understand why they don’t serve the Sabrett sweet onions??? I hate the bootleg homemade red onions but other than that this place is ok if u want a dirty water dog. The place is clean and the service is fine the Texas dog is spicy so be ready for some bite!

The franks were great because they use sabretts, but honestly nothing spectacular. Potato topping while unique is bland, spicy onions were delicious. The bread could have been warmed or toasted.

my friend Gary and I ate here today, and I have to say one of the best dirty water dogs out there. There hot onions are amazing! Chili in its own level of flavor. Potatoes wow. have to kill it with Old School Grape Juice In a great way! Been to over 50 hot dog places. Top 3 dirty water dogs out there

I’ve never been to a restaurant with such a friendly staff. They are phenomenal and it’s places like Hanks Franks that make me support small local businesses that really put heart into their establishment. This place has a history and it’s easy to see why it’s lasted this long. What could be better than a hot dog with potatoes and hot onions or chilli from real ingredients, homemade? Definitely check this place out even if you have to drive 20 miles to get here

Great spot right on rt 46 just before Hasbrouck Heights. Small but clean spot and they have fast service.
Simple menu, dogs and drinks. They keep it moving.

If you love dirty water dogs, this is a very good spot. Many toppungs available.(Potatoes, clili, cheese, onions relish etcs…) I had 2 simple chili and cheesedogs. Chili is tasty, not to meaty nor spicy but taste great. Cheese sauce was just right. I would definitely recommend it. Dogs were about 2.50 each.

This place is great. Cash only. They have my favorite root beer which is a plus. You can’t go wrong here. It’s location is right off the highway. Pull in and grab a dog with hot onions and mustard or a chili and cheese. Yum!

I’m a Hiram’s guy, but I like to give anyone pushing hot dogs a shot. Hank’s has been around for a long time. They use Sabrett dogs, so there’s a commitment to quality there. They offer a bunch of toppings like chili, sweet onions, or even spicy onions. But I’m a Hiram’s guy.
They boil their hot dogs at Hank’s. But it is kinda cool to eat your dogs alongside Route 46, especially during the warmer months. I think all those fumes just add to the flavor in a positive way. If you like hot dogs, then Hank’s is a must try. But after you give Hank’s a try, head down 46 towards Hiram’s.
And you’ll see what I’m talking about…

Would be 4.5 if I could. great hot dogs, friendly staff, even when it is crowded they keep the line moving fast! 2 tables outside and a little counter where you can stand and eat. Good toppings from what it looks like even though I don’t get anything crazy at all, good drink selection. This has been a Bergen county/​RT 46 staple for a very very long time. They also have egg creams but I don’t think I’ve ever tried one? If I did it was more than a decade ago and do not remember.

HOTDOGS!!! GET’EM WHILE THEY ARE HOT!!!
What a spot!!! Just came back from ordering the 4 specialty Hotdogs and all i can say is. i didn’t even get the chance to eat 1 in my house. The hot dogs are excellent, they are the traditional boiled style that you get from a vendor on the streets of NYC, excellent and tasty ! They are also a tad smaller than your average pup, but again the dog is made up with the toppings. its a quality place to check out if you want a quick bite and a cool buy 8 and get 1 free isn’t a bad buy!!! well worth the stop in!!! ALSO This might be one of the rare spots where you can buy RC COLA & Pennsylvania Dutch Birch Beer ON TAP!!! WOW!!! i will be back :)

Solid 3 stars. I liked these hot dogs but they are boiled which makes them — different. Still tasty just a different texture. Doesn’t have the firm outside that hot dogs usually have.
My favorite part was definitely the toppings. I had spicy onions and mustard and I really loved the onions.
Great spot for a quick bite. A few tables outside — but it’s right on route 46 so not a quiet location to eat.

Sabrett Hot Dogs Are Excellent A Roadside Stand Adds A Touch Of Nostalgia
However I can just boil them up myself. If you want a quick bite and its a good dog your craving, why not?
