omg. this place is sooooooo good… not sure what others are looking for in a burger but this made me a happy eater.
my friend threw her son’s birthday here and shut the place down… the staff is so friendly and the food was always coming.
I love everything about it. burgers were juicy, hot dogs were yummy… and the fries are sooooo oooh addicting. I couldn’t stop…

As always you can’t go wrong with Shake Shack! This is the main SS in ny for reason everyone wants to go to the one is MadSq Park. I prefer other locations because they aren’t as busy as this on. It’s no fun when it’s raining though because even the roof where you order your food has little netted holes so it beats the purpose of keep dry… but I love Shake Shack everywhere I go!

My husband and I stopped in for a quick lunch one Saturday afternoon, and I was pleasantly surprised. We had gone to Shake Shacks other Paramus location a few months ago, and I was impressed, but, I decided to give it another shot, and I’m glad I did.
I decided to get the shroom burger this time, can we say awesome! If you are a vegetarian or simply looking for an alternative to a burger, the shroom burger is for you! I’m not sure what coating they put on the shroom, whether it’s breadcrumbs or Panko, but whatever it is, it makes the portabello, incredibly crunchy! Must try!

It was my first time trying the burgers from Shake Shack, so I was pretty stoked to find out that there’s a branch inside GSP. It’s located on the second floor, on the same side as Macy’s. I was here around lunch yesterday, and was surprised to see it pretty calm. There weren’t many people eating at the time. I like how there is seating right outside the main dining area. Shoutout to the staff for keeping the tables clean, by the way.
Double SmokeShack: Although it is a bit smaller than similarly-​themed places, the quality of my burger was great. The buns were soft, while the burger patties were perfectly cooked; they were soft, almost crumbling with the melted cheese. This burger comes with plenty of crispy bacon and chopped cherry peppers, which added just a hint of sweetness. The crispy crinkle fries I ordered (separate from the burger) were hot and fresh from the fryer.
We also ordered the Chick’n Shack and the Shack Stack. I did not taste either of them, but there were no complaints for either order. The condiments, utensils, and napkins are on the right side of the counters. For it’s price, the burgers were a bit small but our burgers were made well; we were happy with the quality. The bottled water may seem pricey, but you do get a pretty large bottled water (Shack2o, not Kirkland or Poland Spring). I’ll be back for another Double SmokeShack for sure.

Once upon a time, I used to wait over two hours for Shake Shack burgers because there was only one location — Madison Square Park. Thankfully, those days are long gone. And now, I don’t even have to venture to the Rt. 17 location anymore either!
Conveniently hidden away in Garden State Mall in Paramus, this Shake Shack offers the full menu AND the crinkle-​cut fries. (I’ll ignore that brief stage when some of their locations stopped offering them. Pfff!) The location’s décor echoes the brands NYC park roots with its utilitarian gray paneled walls, stainless steel counters, and sleek-​lined wooden tables and chairs. Their outdoor seating area is even bordered with planters filled with rich green fake grass!
If I closed my eyes, I’d almost think I was in Madison Square Park. The food is spot on! They even have the second line specifically for drink and frozen concrete orders. And unlike most of the Manhattan locations, you’ll receive your food within 5 – 10 minutes. (I also don’t miss those pesky squirrels who wait below your table for a fallen fry!)

Ordered: double cheeseburger
Pros: fresh ground beef (not frozen), good amount of melted cheese and well seasoned juicy burgers.
Cons: expensive
Overall, Ive been to the NJ and NY locations. The burger is very good. Bring a bit more $$$ because its a bit on the pricey side.

Fast service. Friendly cashier. But what in the world did they just serve me !? I asked for a smoke shack burger and it looked like something from summer camp. Presentation is everything and the way this burger came out made me think twice about comming back. Just a mess. If you want real quality shake shack make your way to the rt 17 location in Paramus. Now that’s a real shake shack.

I went to couple of times and My experience was very different. First time I really enjoyed the burger, second time the same but the last 2 times the burger was extremely greasy it’s a thing that I hate the most about a burger. Maybe at some point I’m going to give it another try…

Yes finally made it to a Shake Shack and booyyy was it worth it.
The sisters and I made it to this location while searching for one that wasn’t in NYC. One sister ordered a Chicken Sandwich (my sister claims it was better than Chick Fil A, but i disagree) it was pretty solid though. I ordered the Black and White Milkshake and the Smokeshack (which is a Shack burger that has some sweet and spicy peppers), The other sister got a regular Shack Burger.
The winners here people were the cheese fries. And the awesome complimentary water! Shake Shack has got it.

I could not be happier that Shake Shack came to GSP so I don’t have to risk my life going on Route 17. It’s kinda tucked away in a corner of the mall which I like. The prices went up since the last time I was there. I can’t believe the Shroom burger, which is my fave, went up to $ 7 especially for the size.

Because I was craving a vanilla shake
Slurping a small size left me wanting more.
Because I have tried a regular shake shack burger in Grand Central
I ordered a smoked burger to try and started to cry
Not the best flavor in my world.
Service was fast and friendly

Here’s why Shake Shack won me over. Their Vanilla Shake and Service!

Getting Shake Shack used to mean going into NYC until this location and one on rt. 17 opened a few years ago.
I actually don’t like their burgers… but I like the hot dogs and french fries. The chicken burger was extremely greasy but the chicken seemed like good quality before it was fried. The herb mayo wasn’t my thing, but ranch and Frank’s hot sauce would have made this better. Thats just my preferred type of chicken sandwich.
The space becomes high here especially at night on the weekends as the mall closes. Lots of high school kids too. It’s easy to get to because it’s on the perimeter of the mall by legal seafood. Try their custard too!

Shake Shack is definitely hyped up, but the burgers don’t disappoint! You can not go wrong with the cheese fries here. No phony cheese whiz tasting cheese fries, they are delicious! The service was nice and quick.

Today I walked in for the very first time to a shake shack and boy was I hungry, eating for two is definitely an understatement. I proceeded to the register which for some reason there was no line which in my case was awesome. Being that it was my first time I wanted to ask what in their opinion was the best burger the guy asked if I liked spice, bacon and cheese and my mouth watered and I replied with a quick hell yeah. So I decided on a Smoke Shack burger which came with L, T, P, bacon, cheese and cherry peppers. I also went on to add fried shallots which are basically fried crunchy onions strings. Which I came to find on my bill was an extra $ 1(wow). To finalize my order I got a strawberry shake and cheese fries thus the total came out to $ 18.07, (just for fries, a not so big burger and a shake)
I must admit my reason for the 3 Stars was being that the burger was pretty good however if you do ever get it, you’re better off with either leaving the cherry peppers out or on the side. They were wayyyyyyyy to salt completely damaging the taste of the burger leaving you with a salty taste in your mouth after every bite and trust me I put salt on everything but mixed in with ketchup, the crunchy onions, pickles and shack sauce it was way to salty. However that didn’t stop me from completely devouring the burger I just simply took out the cherry peppers and went about chewing. The meat was moist and paired with the potato bun it was definitely a good combination.
The cheese fries in my book were not great. The fries were salted in seemed much like other fries in fast food joints are which is by s salt shaker as soon as they come out the oil to then have a pile of cheese that’s already salty mounted on top. So guess what you’re going to get salty cheese fries. I was perfectly fine eating the ones that didn’t have cheese on them which was a bummer I love cheese fries. But overall I believe if you like cheese get it on the side. The fries on their own are really good and crunchy.
The shake had to be the highlight of my whole experience, it was what really made it. The first gulp I took was amaziiinggggg, strawberry goodness. It was thick, milky and a lil on the sweet side but that’s just how I like it. However for 6 $ I believe the cup should’ve been bigger the size for the price you pay makes it a little less enjoyable but anyways thanks for a great shake just wished there was more to actually finish my burger with.
Overall, I’m extremely glad I tried it because it’s officially out of my system. It’s not worth it for the price and for the food. Honestly I rather go to five guys where they now also make yummy shakes and wisely spend there $ 18.07 but instead get two good size burgers which in my opinion are better tasting, great fries and a shake. Not to mention refills when you purchase a drink. All in all I won’t be returning to a shake shack any time soon.

FINALLY had Shake Shack for the first time and I was not disappointed. Staff was very friendly and made sure our orders were correct before sending them out to be made. Order was ready in about 5mins or so. I don’t know what’s in the shack sauce but it was amazing. Also had a strawberry shake which was very good. My friend had a black and white shake which I also tried and enjoyed. Cheese fries were… cheese fries. Can’t go wrong with cheese fries.

Ok. Just came from So Cal. I’m an In and Out Burger guy. Shake Shack is comparable in many ways.
How In and Out is better: WAY cheaper and affordable. I spent $ 12.00 here for a burger fries and drink. Way to expensive for the size you get. Also the In and Out «spread» sauce is better than their burger sauce.
How Shake Shack is better: their fries are better and they have cheese. Their burger here IS quality and very tasty. More selection of stuff on the burger here: bacon, shallots, and hot dogs. Plus they are SUPER FRIENDLY and courteous. I was going to pay for extra cheese sauce and they just gave me some. Their milkshakes are WAY better than In and Out. In and Out is way to sugary sweet and milky. Shake Shack is more balanced and thicker. I definitely like the burgers and fries here but I still choose In and Out because of the price.

For the sake of your taste buds, wait 5 minutes before biting into your shroom burger. I stupidly didn’t read the many warnings on the wrapper and lost half of my taste buds on the first bite.
But, it is delicious! Definitely better than any other mall food!

While the food is good, my only fuss is the seating. The tables and chairs are so close together that you can barely squeeze in a group of four. My friends and I had to do so much rearranging to accommodate ourselves. Basically, you have to be 2-​D if you want to fit a group of four here.
Other than that, the food is great. I love Shake Shack and am glad to find it’s consistent in its quality of food. My favorite thing to order is the Shack Stack double which is two burger patties topped with a breaded portobello mushroom that’s stuffed with two kinds of cheese. When you bite into it, the ooey-​gooey goodness oozes out. Yum!
Oh my other qualm is geez it’s expensive. If you order a Shack Stack, cheese fries and a drink for two people, you’re looking at dropping at least $ 30. It’s delicious though, so I will penny pinch to eat here once in a while.
Definitely try this place if you never have.

Burgers, hot dogs, fries and shakes and frozen ice cream. I’ve heard so many rave reviews about their burgers so I’ve decided to try one today and it’s okay. I’ve had better tasty burgers at five guys, zinburger, and fuddruckers or elevation burger.
The place was packed but the food service is quick. The challenge is to grab an empty table.

Shake Shack as a company has great tasting food and desserts, it’s delicious fries and shroom burger I crave when I want a burger. We took the drive one Sunday just for an IKEA trip and Shake Shack. No we did not go to the Paramus one because we knew it was closed! Just in case you were wondering.
This was his first time there and he really enjoyed it, I talked it up so much so I’m glad it lived up to his expectations. The fries are just amazing, I love crinkle fries. We ordered a black and white shake on our way out and I seriously LOVE their shakes. Perfect thickness and flavor to the shake. Yes, this can be expensive for a burger and fries, but you’re not going everyday (or at least I hope you’re not). It’s a nice treat every once in a while.
There is a ton of seating.
I would be surprised if you couldn’t find a seat. TVs to watch while you’re eating and clean bathroom. The service could be better and by better I mean friendlier, but I guess we can’t win everything can we?
I will definitely be back here if I’m in the area.
