I was here a few days ago. I ordered the BUCU burger which was pretty good. I liked the combination of cheeses and the sauce is definitely better than the big mac sauce as the guy at the registered described it. I would recommend this as a good burger joint. The rosemary fries I was not so crazy about. I don’t know, I think it was the powdered parmesan that kinda made it taste weird. Other than that, I had a nice experience.

Consistently very good. Hamburgers, Turkey burgers, Chicken burger and also the veggie burgers… all good. Cupcakes are great and not too heavy. Donuts are huge and also very delicious. Wish they had a larger sized ice cream shake, because that’s what I’m always wishing when mine is done… We order here for our office and have it delivered every few weeks — always a hit! Just remember to order fries with your burgers b/c they don’t automatically come with them! Cheers!

Tried the pretzel bun. Good stuff. Holds up to the burger like a thicker potato roll. Got mine w swiss n bacon n no sauce… came out really good. Another winner from bucu. Also got a bacon maple donut… and it was great.

This coincides with the Road Runner Sports review. These guys were in the running store promoting their business and offered a 15% discount to visit their location which is a few stores down. I would guess that they team up often to promote each other as this piece of strip mall is limited in the things that it offers. Anyway, onto the review. I was pleasantly surprised. The location is pretty large, you walk in and can stop at the entrance to review the menu and pick out what you find interesting. Once you approach the counter you can place your order and they give you a little stand with a number and you take that over to a table where someone will bring your food. The whole thing had a drive-through, 50’s nostalgic feel to it. It was pretty cool and the containers that the food came in resembled the drive-in era. The burger was good as were the onion rings and although I didn’t taste it, I heard the chicken club was delicious as well. It’s a pretty good lunch spot I think. The strip mall that it’s in has a Chipotle, Starbucks and Houlihan’s and this gave it a cool change up from a standard boring food fare. I will revist them the next time I find myself close by.

Stopped in and got myself a Dulche Leche and Vanilla cupcake. Absolutely wonderful and someday I will try their actual menu and when I get myself some free time I will get back here and get myself some more of those wonderful cupcakes

Still solid. Came tonight with the family. Sliders for the kids, single for the wife, double on a ciabatta with bacon for me. It’s a cooked through burger with quality meat. The lettuce is crisp, though they skimp a bit on the tomato. The bacon was crisp and lean. Two orders of sweet potato waffle fries arrived piping hot, crisp and delicious, though one order was a touch over salted. Nobody left hungry and everyone was happy. No cupcakes today. The servers were courteous and the food arrived to our table promptly after ordering. The single burger is five bucks. I’m happy to know they’re still doing a consistent job. I definitely prefer it to Bobby’s across the highway.

Bucu Burger is one of my favorite burger places. I like the build your own burger idea along with the cupcake offering. Not great for the waistline but the burger was good/fresh/hot and the cupcakes were reasonably priced when it comes to cupcake specialty stores. When I visited it was a week night so not so crowded and I like the fact that I could sit at my own table vs. only the bar where you are sitting next to strangers. My one issue with Bobby Flays is the counter — I don’t want to sit next to anyone’s little kids and listen to them whine or spill soda on my lap. The service was good and it was very clean. I will definitely go back. Haven’t tried anything else but the burger and fries so will review again when I give it another try.

DISCLAIMER: review is only based on the burger bar. NOT the bakery. So i went there this afternoon for a quick lunch to go. Not my first time but it has been quite a while since i last came here. As you will shortly see why Ambiance: The place is located in a really nice shopping area off route 4. The store is welcoming with a lot of natural lighting and just looks like a nice burger spot where you can pull out a laptop and chill. Not loud at all and there are several televisions to watch from. Service: You place your order, they give you a number card, and then you go find some seats. The servers were friendly and pretty patient when i didn’t know what to order. Food came out pretty fast… 10 mins or so. Food: I ordered the Bucu Burger. Signature burger cant go wrong right? well… sadly i was unimpressed. The entire burger was constructed poorly with soggy lettuce, two tiny tomatoes that fell out immediately when i went to take a bite, and bucu sauce just slathered everywhere. The patty itself tasted as if it was frozen and then thawed. I bit into it and there wasn’t that rich beef flavor you get when a burger has been cooked properly. I had a much higher expectation for their burgers to be honest. I had a side of fries and they were alright. In the end: everything looks great on paper but the execution of it was just poorly done. For the price of the burgers i would pass. Maybe ill come in again and just get some dessert like the ice cream sandwiches or cupcakes. But so far bucu’s burger is a bust.

The build you own salad is great because you pick your own toppings but I found the base of the head of lettuce underneath what I thought was a mound of lettuce almost as a filler to make the salad look bigger then it really was. My daughter had the grilled cheese that was way more bread then cheese ratio and the outside of the bread was not buttered or even toasted. The double fried potatoes were suppose to be crunchy but they we like eating a baked potato. The best the we had was the cupcake shake. Actually the cupcake shake is the only reason we will ever return there.

Came here craving for a burger after eating non stop Korean, what a mistake. Should have gone to Jackson Hole. You’ll be fine with this place if you are into 5guys type of burgers. Im sure they were trying to mimick shake shack, using the same beef, but for me a burger is not a burger unless there is something to actually bite into. I never really understood the shake shack craze, its just a glorified wendy’s burger in the end. But thats NYC for you. the food doesnt need to be amazing, just good enough to feed the pretentious wannabe’s. Also, if burgers and cupcakes are your specialty(bu cu) you really shouldnt be pushing so many other items unless you are not moving enough burgers. the menu seems more like a bagel/deli trying to sell burgers. with so many burger places to choose from, you really need to step up your game or else you’ll have to start selling socks and cell phones as well.

Had the SB48 burger and fries for takeout, which were just ok. For the cost of the burger and fries, you’re better off going to smash burger.

The burgers are meh. They’re alright — I guess. Nothing special really. The only highlight was the cupcake. That was delicious! I would definitely return just to pick up a cupcake but I doubt I’ll return for burgers here.

Michelle Obama would NOT like this place. Only in America can you actually«drink» a cupcake. YES, they make cupcake shakes from your favorite cupcake. While it is absolutely delicious it is so unhealthy!!! I gain 20lbs from the very thought of it, Burgers don’t have that farm raised great taste as promised. Actually, It is very oily. The bottom bun falls apart b/c of the amount of oil. They should stick to being a cupcake joint

Man Can Not Live On Bread Alone Owner(Rick Ross) sent an apology about my experience at his store but apparently did not bother to read my review, so how is that going to make bucu better? Offering me a cupcake is not the answer to the problems this burger joint has. –1 star. «I apologize if you did not have a favorable experience at BUCU. We appreciate your criticism, it only makes us better. I sincerely hope you give us another shot to make it right. Please print this response and present it to the cashier for a complimentary bakery item.» Thank you! Rick Ross

Bucu is what most fast food burgers strive to be but usually fail miserably. I give plenty of pros to the owners for taking the time and putting together a great small menu, tasty burgers, and awesome sides. The onion straws have improved tremendously and have transformed more into small crisp onion rings which I prefer. I am a burger and o ring fanatic and not many places help fill that craving at least well. The sweet potato fries are Also really really good. Buns are perfect for the burger. I like the fact they use sweet Roma plum tomatoes and leaf lettuce. My choice in produce when I make burgers. Def a better consistent burger then Bobby’s. Also better quality then both 5 guys in the area as well as smashburger and boom burger. If you enjoy better then average fast food burger that use all natural beef Bucu is def worth checking out. ESP since the beef provided by master butcher pat lafrieda.

We came here on a Friday evening for a simple dinner. The décor is comfortable, the cupcake/cake/cookie presentation is very clean and European looking, it makes the sweets look that much better The menu is filled with comfort food and they feature Hale & Hearty soups, if you have had their soups in NYC, you know they are delicious. We ordered the Waffle Cut Sweet Potato Fries, Pig Out Burger, Tomato Soup, coffee, Birch beer, a water, and 2 cupcakes, came out to around $ 30, a bit pricey. The burger was slightly dry and thin, but the pulled pork was moist and flavorful; the fries were crispy but the portion small; the soup was delicious, but at $ 5 a cup, it’s a little steep, especially when served in a paper cup. The cupcakes are moist; the blueberry marshmallow cupcake had the consistency of a fine muffin, light and airy. The icing was just sweet enough. I like the fast casual atmosphere here, I think they should work on their burger quality issues and their pricing. Eventually they will find a balance between quality and price.

After reading an article stating that La Frieda will be providing the burger meat for BUCU I immediately put it on my must try list. My sister and I went on a Saturday afternoon. The place was bright, clean and moderately busy. I ordered a single design a burger with pepper jack cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion and BUCU burger sauce. The design a burgers were a little cheaper than the composed burgers. My burger came out well done. I should have figured this since they did not ask me how I wanted my burger to be cooked. The meat was dry but I liked that they did not flatten it out like they do at Smashburger. The handcut fries were hot and crispy! I have been hearing great things about their dessert so I might have to come back for dessert but skip the burgers.

Burgers + cupcakes = heaven on earth However, my experience at Bucu was kind of like the May 21st rapture FAIL. There was much hype and anticipation [and jest], but then the time came and not a damn thing happened [duh!]. My veggie burger was lackluster and sorta-kinda edible. It had that microwaved, frozen pattie after taste. Ick! The house seasoned fries were good though! My co-worker loved the taste of her Jersey burger, but hated the grease factor. As for the cupcakes, she loved the cookies and cream but I remain ambivalent about the red velvet. While the cake was moist, the frosting was too sweet. I couldn’t eat the whole thing and ended up sharing, which is something that I NEVER do with red velvet anything, much less a cupcake. I’ll definitely be back to try their raved about cupcake milkshake. I could be setting myself up for disaster [and a sugar coma], but there’s only one way to find out.

So, wife and I tried out BUCU after reading several websites, reviewers here on Unilocal and from a friend. With the exception of Unilocal all I heard were very positive remarks. We showed up on Saturday night at around 7pm. The place is pretty crowded but they get through the lines very quickly. We were lucky to have found a table but I can see it being a problem in the future. The place is very clean and actually not too noisy. I ordered a single patty with jalapenos, grilled onions, tomato, ketchup, cheddar on the whole grain roll. I was foolish and forgot to ask for it medium rare. The burger came out very dry. The roll and rest of ingredients were excellent but the meat was unsatisfactory like that. Wife had the house-made veggie burger. She loved it. Lots of pieces of fresh vegetables and crispiness! We ordered the onion straws but were told they had run out. I was annoyed that people seated next to us, whom arrived well after us, were delivered an order of the onion straws! We had the hand cut fries with rosemary parmesan. They were excellent. We drank seltzers. Wife ended up trying the red velvet cupcake(with vanilla cream cheese frosting) and still claims it was not cream cheese based. Her exact words«excellent cake but the frosting seemed weak in the cream cheese department and more like a sweet buttercream». Cost for single patty burger, single patty veggie burger, two fountain drinks, rosemary parmesan fries and a cupcake was around $ 22. I really like BUCU and think it has potential to be 4 or 5 stars. I will definitely return in the near future!
