I always go here in the evening, and it is ALWAYS understaffed! There’s typically 1 – 2 cashiers available for the entire store. It’s ridiculous! I ordered some items online, and the staff took forever to find them when they arrived in the store. Then when they did find them, some of them weren’t in the computer and they had to add them manually. It took forever! And since there were no other cashiers, the line was insanely long! Then I found out that even though only parts of my order had arrived, I was charged for the entire order! So I had been charged for items I hadn’t received. It took several visits to sort it out, and one of my trips took almost an hour while three employees all stood there staring at the computer and couldn’t figure out how to make a simple return. I won’t be returning!

Very small, not a very large selection at all! Lines are very long (seemed to be having computer issues). Women’s shoe selection is very limited on styles and sizes. Women’s clothes section very limited also, more for the smaller older women.

This is a very compact version of a larger JC Penney store — they usually have a lot of merchandise stocked — or maybe it just seems that way because of the smaller size of the location.
I sometimes come here when the Stockton location sells out of something I want. Parking is easy and due to the smaller size of the store, finding what you came for is pretty darn easy.

We don’t have a JC Penny in my area anymore so it was nice to check it out…

I don’t understand how the store at this location stays open. The store itself is filthy. The carpets look like they’ve been to hell and back, and the staff is as rude as all get out. Take the extra few minutes and drive out to the Stockton location, and you’ll thank me for it, to which I will say, «My pleasure.».

I am not a huge fan of large department stores, and this one is alright. We were shopping for gifts on this trip and came up empty handed. The store was clean and had plenty of items in stock. We were never greeted by any staff though, which was strange as there seemed to be a lot of people working.
