Freshest fish and widest selection outside of Sacramento. If you appreciate sushi you will love Komachi. The owner knows how to operate a business and the prices are readonable for the quality. The sushi plates are very artistic visually. Try the chef sashimi if you feel adventurous.

My family and I came here about two months ago as my brother was dying of cancer and my parents drove down from Washington State so we could all be together. Unfortunately, on occasion I have trouble driving at night(on a long drive which I had to make to go see my brother) and we chose this place to have a nice sushi dinner, because it was open all day. The usual spot my family goes to didn’t open until 5:00 pm. I wish I had just sucked it up and made the night drive because this place practically ruined my family gathering. We ordered several things, and my father’s sashimi order didn’t come. We asked about it, and it still didn’t come. Our waitress went home and we got another waitress, and the sashimi order STILLDIDN’T ARRIVE. The owner — I am supposing this lady was the owner, said there was only one sushi chef and he was on a break. My poor dad had to wait and wait and all of us were FINISHED with our food before his arrived. When it did arrive, it definitely was not worth the wait as it looked as if zero effort was put into it. We all waited until my father was done with his food. The owner lady followed us OUTSIDE apologizing. I just wanted to get out of there. My brother has now passed away and I feel like it is my fault we had to go to this place which made our dinner experience in his last days pretty horrible.

I’ve probably come to Komachi at least 5 times in the past couple of months because it is undoubtedly the best sushi place in Lodi! It might be one of my top choices for sushi restaurants too! They have a huge selection of specialty rolls, as well as other non-sushi options like ramen and donburis. Love the chirashi donburi here and my boyfriend is a fan of the hot donburis. The flaming dragon roll is cool — they light it on fire for you! The restaurant is clean and the wait staff is nice! Check in on Unilocal for a free mochi ice cream with your meal!

Our go to Sushi spot. I’m no expert but this place is good. Service can be spotty at times, it’s popular, but usually worth the wait. My one«issue» with all Sushi restaurants is their uncanny ability to serve each diner in your party at different times.

Only had 30 minutes for lunch and they were able to accommodate me. Food was as delicious as I remembered. Great portions for the price.

First time here and love the atmosphere. Came here for a friend’s dinner baby shower. Met with the manager Sonny and she’s super nice and attentive. Their sushi were great. No complaints. We basically stayed till closing time!

This place has tricked the locals and gringos that cream cheese filling and imitation crab makes a good sushi roll. Lather on a bunch of sticky ooey gooey sauce and dig in. The worst part was the service. I spent $ 250 and had crummy service. And we’re walking. …

Came here on a bit of a date, We ordered between us 6 rolls… That’s a lot of food. But it was all so good, We ended up having so much left over. Not only was the sushi delicious but the the staff was super friendly, At the end of our meal I think the owner or manager came out and chatted with us a bit about sushi. Definitely will be returning here next time I’m in town.

Always a delicious experience here with my friends. Good atmosphere. Nice staff. In fact, I know the manager and her daughter and she always comes to my work to do her business: menus, laminations, etc. She’s literally a sweet heart. If you want to try some bomb a$$ sushi, then you need to come here. These are the kinds of restaurants you rarely find in Lodi that will satisfy your stomach WITH a good price.

It’s unfortunate that our experience here was so terrible considering we love sushi places and can almost see this one from our house. The short version is that they were out of almost everything that we asked for that wasn’t a sushi roll, when the roll was not what I expected the waitress argued with me(I really like a roll with mango on it which the menu labeled for this roll and when I received it had one sliver on one piece) instead of trying to make an easy fix. When I asked to talk to the manager she told me she was going to back whatever the waitress said without hearing my issue. — «out» of Bud Light — «out» of deep fried Oreos, which we definitely didn’t need but just thought it would be funny to try — «out» of the soda I ordered — located in the same shopping strip as a Raley’s??? My boyfriend’s raw fish on his roll stunk, and you just can’t feel good about giving your money to people who are rude. I think I’ve had an issue in a restaurant about 5 times in my life so when it’s handled that way I will never be back. They lost a lot of potential business from us!

They have a HUGE selection of various types of rolls! The hardest part really was deciding what roll I wanted. I got the flaming dragon, the green monster(?), and some other rolls but I forget their names! The flaming dragon was really good, but a little pricey. It comes out wrapped in aluminum foil and they torch around it so that the salmon cooks inside. It’s a very simple yet delicious roll. The green monster had stacks of seaweed salad on top, and I thought it was a very good combo with the roll. There was another roll I got that came with some citrus flavor in the roll, and I didnt think it mixed well with the sushi. But that’s just my opinion! For the free mochi ice-cream with Unilocal check-in, they only offer ONE mochi for the entire table, even if everyone in your party has a Unilocal account! I thought that was a little ridiculous, bc the free mochi was really small, which they cut into 4 pieces. This place is located in the corner of a plaza. There is lots of parking available!

Wow! Delicious! Best sushi in Lodi by far! :) We tried the UOP roll, Philadephia roll, firecracker roll. All delicious! Fried mushrooms, jalapeño bombs, gyoza… all amazing as well. I don’t eat sushi often… but Komachi Sushi may change that for me :)

Good food! But I don’t think it’s worthy of the 4.5 star rating it has on Unilocal.Service was extremely fast, and my boyfriend and I were seated immediately at the bar. Note: the place is pretty small so get ready to wait if you have a large group! The menu has a ton of options, especially for rolls, and it actually made it really hard for me to choose! Like I sat there for a good ten minutes… I ended up choosing the few rolls that didn’t have any panko shrimp, which were the Omega 3 and the Candy Cane roll. The Omega 3 roll had slices of lemons on each piece, which I thought was a fresh twist. I was interested in the Candy Cane roll because I thought there would be mango slices with each piece, but it was actually only on two or three, so that was slightly a bummer. We also ordered the combination sushi, which was pretty good. Just your standard sashimi. I liked how it came with the salad, rice, and miso soup. It seems like we ordered a lot of food, but I thought it was a good amount for two people. Honestly, I don’t think I will come here again just because it is out of my way, but I had a nice experience. The free mango mochi was delicious, and the service was great.

Yummy as heckkkkk. The service is GREAT. The Korean lady manager person is sooooo nice and really treats you well. Their sushi is seriously so fresh and so yummy. One of the best sushi places you can go to :) I always get the midnight roll and the flaming dragon roll. The flaming dragon is delicious! It’s super cool too, it’s actually on fire at one point.

We decided to try this place out on Friday night but did not expect the crowd to be so big. There was about a 20 minute wait which wasnt a big deal. But this is where the problems began, after waiting awhile and seeing others that arrived after us be seated I inquired as to what happened to our name. Apparently they put our name down on the list wrong(not sure how you can misunderstand my husbands name, Ed) but they wrote it down as Anne. We were promptly sat after that which was nice. Our server took about 10 minutes to finally arrive at our table, by that time we had already decided what we wanted to drink and eat. I also want to add that almost EVERY roll had tempura shrimp or spicy tuna, where is the variety??? It then took another 10 minutes to get my husbands soda and my glass of wine. It then took another few minutes to get the glasses of water we requested. I ordered the Double Alba and the Baked Scallop roll. The Double Alba was pretty good. The Baked Scallop was a mushy mess, the consistency was definitely off putting. Definitely not the best tempura batter I’ve experienced, ok actually one of the worst. My husband ordered the Golden Gate and the Fiesta roll. He liked the flavor of the Golden Gate but the roll was sooo big(the width of the roll not the amount of food) he had had a very hard time eating, it fell apart and was a mess. The Fiesta roll was good but the mango sauce on top just did not work, the rest was savory and the sauce was way too sweet for the roll. The house cab I ordered was actually very good, I don’t recall the winery but I enjoyed it for a house wine. And then there was the problem with paying… their machines don’t have the new chip card reader and both my husband and I only have cards with the new chips so neither card went through. The server came back both times and told us the cards were declined which we both knew was not possible. But we asked if they had the card reader and he stated no and he then offered to enter the number manually and it worked. We were both pretty baffled as to how we would pay for the meal if they were unable to process the new chip cards. All banks are switching to the chip card so they better hurry up and get that addressed. Anyways, based on all the positive reviews I will definitely go back and try other rolls in hopes that I will have a much better experience with service and food. I will update my review when that happens.

After hearing raving reviews from my friends for so long I finally decided to give this place a try. My boyfriend and I came back to Komachi just a few days after our first time! If I eat at a place twice in a week, you know it’s gotta be worth it! For a sushi restaurant in Lodi, Komachi definitely serves up sushi that can rival some spots even back in SoCal! The prices are very reasonable with large portions, and the service is great. I would recommend everything I’ve tried: Flaming Dragon Roll(~$ 13) — really fun«flaming» presentation with an awesome sauce, pricier but a must try Yellow Submarine Roll and Taiyo roll(~$ 9 – 10) — both have mango and are super refreshing Dry Rose(~$ 11) — great kick of heat from the green sauce I suspect to be wasabi mayo Komachi also has great wasabi! It’s not the weak stuff some sushi restaurants serve. I almost cried because I accidentally left a whole chunk on my roll haha. Don’t forget to check in for free mochi ice cream! And even though I live in Stockton, the 20 min drive to Lodi is totally worth it, I will definitely be back whenever I’m craving sushi!
