The whole environment here is very laid back and eelcoming. They have wonderful food and the wait staff are very attentive withoit breathing down your neck. All of the dishes are well flavored and the portions are generous. Very strongly reccomended.

This place is TERRIBLE! Lady at the front desk was extremely rude over the phone and in person. I was looking at the menu at the front desk, and the lady grabbed the menu out of my hands while I was trying to decide what I wanted to order. It was awkward and flat out rude. Food is bland and extremely over priced! Seriously never coming back here.

Best Chinese food in Lodi! The waiter, chinaman, is the best ever! I love the walnut shrimp and curry chicken.

This is my favorite chinese place in town. The food is always consistently good and their delivery is fantastic. It comes way quicker than you’d expect and it’s still piping hot when it arrives. And you get quite a bit of food for the price, always more than I can finish in one sitting! I especially love the garlic prawns and egg rolls, something I get nearly every time. Definitely would recommend this place.

I must be too Asian for this place. It won Best of Lodi 2014. I have had trouble finding good Chinese food along SR99. Mind you, I don’t want the sugary, Americanized stuff that is typical. There are a few Chinese restaurants in Lodi, but I was afraid that I would enter one that was run by VietNamese. Sure, they know how to make some Chinese dishes, but then, so do Koreans. They taste very different. Entering, I didn’t see anyone but customers. Shortly, a woman arrived and seated me. She brought back a menu and asked if I wanted water. I needed some time, so she tended to other things. Then, when I had decided, she was scarce. Eventually, she returned, still friendly. I ordered Ma Po Tofu, a Shanghai-nese recipe, and iced tea. The sauce is sometimes very difficult to duplicate. I can buy it in foil packets, Japanese style, which is often better than going to a restaurant. The rest of the dish is fairly simple – mince and braise pork, add peas and tofu. Put everything into the sauce and cook like crazy. She returned with my iced tea and a carafe and it was elegant. Is style important? The iced tea had good flavor, and thankfully, no sugar. After a while, another person brought the Ma Po Tofu, and steamed rice, but I had to ask for chopsticks a second time. I realize that I look less Asian than I am, but trust me, tofu with a fork is not a pretty sight. The food quickly lost what little heat it had. The sauce had almost no flavor at all. The ingredients were reasonable, although the pork was a bit chewy. It seemed to be shredded pork instead of minced but that doesn’t change the recipe. I’ve had plenty of Ma Po Tofu without pork at all. It looked great, but it wasn’t. I’m betting the typical American-ized dishes were exactly as they should be. We kind of discussed this, as I asked about an Asian-only menu, which they don’t have. They can make certain dishes, but they apparently don’t do it much since there aren’t many Chinese in town.

This place used to serve good authentic Chinese food until about a year I don’t know if they changed cook or chef but it’s gotten really salty. They need to go back to the old ways of their cooking style. Portions are decent though but can’t enjoy due to amount of sodium.

Yummy Authentic Chinese Food. Quiet atmosphere. Delicious egg Flour soup and honey walnut prawns :) Wait staff is quick and not intrusive, which is a plus.

For what it is, it deserves 5⁄5. It’s a cheap ‘hole in the wall’ chinese restaurant that does it right. Cheap lunch specials and good quality food. The service is a little on the cold side, but I don’t mind it. The food is good and you don’t have wait long to get it. I recommend them if you are looking for a quick, cheap(and unhealthy) lunch!

Great food at wonderful prices. Portions are large. Décor is pretty… Bad. But don’t let that deter you! You’ll find a great combination of delicious entrées and appetizers. Take note that if you like spicy foods, you’ll have to ask for things extra spicy. They seem to dull down spice even on dishes marked as spicy. I usually ask for it extra extra spicy and it kicks!

I went in for a to go order, and the older lady behind the counter seemed annoyed that I was there. The food was pretty good though. I had the Mongolian beef combo with chow mein and white rice. There was definitely plenty off it! I’ll have lunch tomorrow, too. I ordered for three people and it was only $ 20. I’ll be back to take out, but I don’t think I want to dine in. The place looks like a real dive!

I have eaten at most every place in lodi and I have to say that I have been there twice in the last two weeks and I am definitely a fan. I ordered for two adults and three kids the first time and was amazed not only by the taste of the food but the portions. My daughter will not eat shrimp but she ate it here I was amazed and the fried chicken appetizer is off the chart delicious. I had the chance to speak with the owners son and he is a very very nice kid. Very respectful and appreciates what his parents do. I definitely recommend this Chinese food if you want quality and quantity at a great price too. Keep up the good work and look forward to my next visit.

Went here after hearing it was the bomb. Not our ball of wax. I had Mongolian beef dinner and it was not spicy at all. Wife had pork chow mein and it was weird. Nice people but probably won’t go back. Sounds like if you like sweet stuff it is what you want.

Several years ago, my wife and I ate at MS and found the fare rather tasteless and unappetizing, so we did not return. At a Christmas party, however, MS catered the dinner, so we had no choice in the matter. Once again, the food was practically without merit. My wife, an Asian, found the rice to be deplorable and would have issued a One Star rating for the meal, but I am being a little more generous. I found most of the dishes to be virtually tasteless and bland, even with a bath of soy sauce. My worst finding was the chicken. I cut into one of the nuggets and was alarmed to see that the piece was literally black inside the batter and, worse, I could not identify what part of the bird the morsel came from ! I am unsure what other Unilocalers find so enticing about this restaurant, but it is a C– on my list. There are other Asian restaurants in the Lodi-Stockton area, so diners do not have to settle with this below average cuisine…

This was my favorite place until today 2÷6÷2016 I came in to order my regular order 3−4x a month it usually comes out to like $ 40 bucks the older lady who runs the front is always rude but this time she actually rolled her eyes and said we don’t do half orders i always do half orders when I order through the young guy he should be THEONLYONETAKINGORDERSSHEISVERYRUDEANSDOESNOTUNDERSTAND! It was my favorite place but I will not be buying Chinese food from here anymore because of that lady i will go to chop chop, I wonder if the business owner ever reads Unilocal reviews I think it would help their business a lot.

Ok so I have always been pretty harsh regarding Ming Sing its my parents go to Chinese, I’m more into Mandarin Chinese cuisine is what I’ve come to realize, it’s a little more well put together, many more flavorful ingredients, but if you’re not going for a lunch special it gets a little pricey if your hungry, when my boyfriend and I eat out we spend maybe ten dollars less than what my parents pay to feed the family here at Ming sing and there is always plenty of left overs and the quality of the food is great I never find grisly meat ever, which is something I have found at yen ching, and chop chop and also dragon deli! When their food is fresh it is great, I was going to take pictures so people can see how good the food looks and how much you get but I was starving and didn’t want to get my phone from the other room haha next time though I will sacrifice, because it was good enough for there to be a next time. I’ve also had them deliver once and the food was just as fresh as when we pick up, so good. Don’t get me wrong though I’m still a King Tsin girl I love Theresa and I love that cherry chicken but when it’s time to be economical Ming sing is where it is at! This place deserves a little more credit.

«Ming Sing! The Best Chinese Food in Lodi» That is what the newspaper ad said when they first opened several years ago. We went the first week. We have tried every Chinese Restaurant in Lodi. The ad was correct. At the time, they were the best. They still rate up there with the top in Lodi after having been here for a while. It is owned by a Chinese family that lives in Elk Grove and they drive here daily. Their College age sons were both waiters when they opened and now just the mother waits on everybody and handles the togo business at the same time. We have centered on what are our favorites: in the springtime, they have the best Deep Fried Asparagus in town. The rest of the year either the deep fried green beans or deep fried mixed Veggies are there to take their place. The Vegetable Egg Foo Young is outstanding. The Chow Fun(this is the only place in Lodi that serves this dish) is very well done, full of vegetables and sauced very well. Both the Egg Fried Rice and the Vegetable Fried Rice are the best in Lodi(and the largest portion for $ 6.95). By the way, my better half and I are both Vegetarians and they go over the deep end to help us with the menu and understanding our menu choices(like no soup on the lunch special because it is made with meat stock). The best Chinese Food in Lodi… You BET!
