There used to be a time when almost every Gas Station participated in this… but, it seems, almost no merchant participates in this any more. Participates in What? The California Lottery, specifically Mega-​Millions.
My youngest son in Las Vegas phoned me and told me to buy a Mega-​Millions ticket… 1 Random pick, played 20 times. I thought it would be a cinch. Drove all over Lodi, looking for the California Lottery logo (
) indicative of a merchant that participated in the Lottery. Some places had just Scratch-​Offs… and Some places had the Lottery Verification Machine, but did not participate in the Mega-​Millions.
Payless Tobacco was the ONLY place in Lodi that participated in the Mega Millions… NOT KIDDING! Took me many minutes to tell him that I just wanted 1 Random Play… 20 Times. Tried to tell him… DRAW! PLAYS! How many ways can I say 20 individual Times???
After a while… I eventually got the Mega Millions ticket…
FYI… If you use ATM /​Credit Card, there will be an $ 0.65 additional fee.

Ben who is the owner is the greatest guy in the world. Not only do they meet or beat any other prices in town, they treat you like a family member. They carry all tobacco products. Nice, clean, and welcoming. Located in a very small strip mall on Lodi Ave. I always go next door to Chop Chop for takeout also. It’s a win win, I’m just sayin ! !
