Ressa Delp did the school pictures at my kids’ preschool this year. They were so disappointing, the worst school pictures I’ve ever seen. She didn’t use props or backgrounds except for a white chair and plain black background. That could’ve been cool, but she laid them out in landscape orientation with the kid posed way on one side so that about half the print is just black. In my son’s picture, the whites of his eyes and some of his teeth are ultra white. It looks bizarre! She claims that the image is straight out of the camera and not photoshopped. I don’t believe that the effect is just from bad lighting, and not from bad editing, but either way, I cannot display the photos. I understand that Ressa is primarily a natural light lifestyle photographer and not a school photographer, so I could give her the benefit of the doubt and say that perhaps she’d do a great job if you hired her for a regular session, but I wouldn’t recommend her based on customer service alone. When I contacted her to let her know that we were unhappy with the pictures she took, she didn’t respond for 4 days, and when she did finally email, she pretty much just said that all sales are final. Many other parents at our school also complained and two of them told me that Ressa offered to retake their kids’ pictures. I don’t know why she would offer that to them and not to me. She made no attempt to satisfy me as a customer at all. I’m very frustrated and sad that the money I spent to capture memories of my two kids’ school year is wasted.
