Café Sabor is great! Service always very good. Food is served hot and tasty. Polo Durango, Burritos, Shrimp, Coconut soup, and artichoke dip all outstanding. Would highly recommend. Darla

Simply the best Mexican food in Northern Utah. We love this place and the one in Bear Lake. One of our family favorites for sure.

I was nervous with the 3 star rating on Unilocal, but after several people recommended Café Sabor I decided to try it out! I’m glad I did! It was delicious. Everything we had was delivered hot and in good time. The chips are so delicious and we ordered Carne Asada fries for the table. They were sooooo good! Crisscut fries with cheese, steak, guac, and pico! My mouth is watering just writing this! I had carne Asada tacos that were also delicious! The only reason I didn’t give it a 5 star is they need to work on the Salsa selection for chips and tacos. Other than that it was great! We will be back soon!

I’ve been here a couple times and have always enjoyed my meal. The food is traditional Mexican and very tasty. Located in an old railroad station, the dining spaces are broke into quaint little areas. The staff was very attentive and helpful. I will definitely be back again if I’m in the area.

The Carne Asada and the Arroz Con Pollo is amazing! Great and friendly staff, lots of promotions during the week and delicious fresh food. Plus it’s in an old Train Station so you get a cool vibe there!

Café Sabor serves the only Tex-Mex/Americanized Mexican food in town with any flavor. Mind you, the menu is somewhat hit and miss, but stick with local favorites and you usually won’t go wrong. Some I enjoy are their Pollo Durango, mango shrimp, carne asada, spinach artichoke dip and flan for dessert. Fellow diners have recommended their shrimp enchiladas and coconut soup as well. Here I prefer to order dishes that come with fresh tortillas on the side so I can fix tacos the way I like them, and more warm tortillas are free, just ask. They have tasty fresh chips and salsa too. Service has improved here recently. Last two visits we were served perfectly by a server that was new to us. He was very genuine and friendly. Over the years, I’ve complained about service here, so I’m hoping this means they’ve turned a new leaf. Lastly, their patio on a summer evening is just wonderful. Inside the old train station has a cozy, casual feel, but can feel cramped when busy. –The polarized reviews here really confuse me. Do some have an agenda? I don’t know. But Café Sabor is head and shoulders above the other two Tex-Mex players in town. They’re not even in the same ballpark. I’m not saying Café Sabor is the best ever, they’re surely above average and have room for improvement. But Logan has nothing else even comparable.

Gringo Mo-Mex(three times the cheese, none of the spice) in an appealing historic train station. Passable American Mexican. Don’t go expecting more, and you’ll be ok. If you ask for«spicy,» they might open a bottle of paprika five blocks away.(I once had an earnest and eager waiter ask me if I wanted«mole» on my burrito. Not«mol-e,» a la Spanish, but«mole.» No, I do NOT want a small sightless rodent on my burrito, thank you.). The building is neat though, and the wait staff is friendly.

I love this place. Service is always great… food is even better. I was disappointed to find out they put oil in their mild salsa so now I have to bring my own, and sometimes the portion sizes are not consistent(although they claim it’s all pre portioned… ya, by someone’s hand and a guess lol). Those r the only reasons I didn’t give 5 stars. But all in all… great place.

*Edit* – Response from management encouraged an additional star. I always love and respect when owners are invested in his or her business– Café Sabor is that kind of Mexican restaurant that provides cheap Mexican food with table side service. It’s accessible, easy to please, and run of the mill. However, the Thursday night meal of a burrito and a drink is appropriate for a college town, and is *well* worth the price. The service is always on point, and tonight was no exception. Our waitress(Emily) was very kind, attentive, and patient with the table. I ordered a margarita and while it dusted the cobwebs of too many Thursday meetings it was somewhat flavorless. The building is pretty cool. The old train station feel is represented well, and adds to the feeling of the meal. Sabor is worth visiting, and it will remain on the rotation for Cache Valley eat outs, but I wouldn’t use it for any notable evenings. *Perfect for friendly get togethers, casual nights out, groups, and good times. Can’t wait for the patio to open again in the late spring!*

Café Sabor is a good place to eat great atmosphere and above average food. We ate there at around 2:00 pm. The service was not the best. The waiter seemed distracted and only visited the table when he brought the ticket. He was not rude, just seemed busy. I will be back.

Bland tasting Mexican food. The parking lot is always over stuffed. It’s built in what used to be some kind of train station. Inside is often crowded and very noisy. The chairs and tables are always stuffed together so tight so it’s a hassle to get up and move around. I don’t know what it is about this place but it always so awkward and stuffy there. It’s also very loud inside. In the summer it’s hot and muggy. Feels like a cafeteria. Service is a bit sluggish. Food is bland and mostly flavorless. Everything taste mushy and soaking wet in some kind of bland soggy sauce. If you want Mexican food that taste good go somewhere else.

Food is really good and the drinks are good, IF you have time to wait for it. The train station makes for a cool environment. Service is always VERY slow. On average it takes well over an hour to eat lunch on a average day and much longer for dinner or a busy lunch day. The waiters could use better training and learn to stay on task IMO. Lost of standing around with empty water and drink glasses that need refilled and customers that could use some attention. This could be a five star place with better service and faster ticket times. We still frequently eat here but it’s always a very time consuming deal, and when you have kids this makes it even harder.

Honestly, I probably like this place so much 80% because of the atmosphere and 20% because of the food. But that’s okay. It’s a really cool building and it feels more special than just going to a regular restaurant. The food is tasty and not authentic, and that’s fine.

First we come in and the ambience reminds me of a tropical restaurant located in Virgin Islands. We were seated quickly. Upon our arrival to our table, there are free chips and salsa. I love free items!!! I ordered the Tacos al cabron and my hubby ordered a chimichanga. The food reminded me of a mixture between Southwestern and Mexican. My personal opinion it was not authentic Mexican but more Americanized. This does not mean the food was bad, it was still good. If you want authentic Mexican, I suggest La torments, Paco’s tacos, or king tacos. all the restaurants I mentioned above are local in Logan and are fraction of the costs. I gave this place three stars because food was ok, setting was beautiful, prices were meh, and there were a lot of annoying flies.

The first time we went here, I was on a dairy free diet. They were very accommodating and the food was pretty ok. We decided to try it out again a few months later, and the food was extremely disappointing, we both decided never to eat there again. Well… About a few weeks or a month later, we noticed a charge on our debit card in the amount of $ 10 even. I thought it was my husband, but we are pretty good about budgeting, and he always tells me if they eat out at work. He said he hasn’t eaten there, so I let it slide. I’m not sure what I could have called café Sabor and said anyway, I can’t prove that we weren’t there since they had my card information. I thought the charge was really strange, most things don’t end just$ 10. THEN I come across a post on the hj news website where someone commented about how Café Sabor tries to make all of their money match up to what it should, so they charge small amounts on cards hoping no one notices. Well, it happened to me and I can not believe anyone else supports this Shady company. They get absolutely no support from me ever again. I hope everyone else will see how this company truly runs its business. They don’t deserve to be in business.

Café Sabor is one of my favorite place for Mexican food in Logan. Don’t be fooled, the food is not very authentic but I must say, I have never had better carne asada. I’ve eaten carne asada all over the U.S. & Mexico and have yet to taste anything more delish. It’s gotta be their proprietary steak marinade that does it! The burritos are very popular along with the pollo durango. Hopefully you still have an appetite after devouring the amazing complementary chips and salsa.

Awesome food. Fun atmosphere. Really surprised at how good the Mexican food was for Utah(I’m an Arizona guy who eats Mexican every day) The Camarones a la Diabla was the best shrimp dish I’ve ever had. Got mine very spicy and it was killer. Awesome flavor, shrimp was cooked perfectly. My wife had the Pollo Durango and it was excellent also I’ll be back every time I come to Logan

We drive 100 miles for their spinach artichoke dip. Amazing!!! The horchata is also the best I’ve tasted.
