A gas station convenience store split with an Indian restaurant. What a crazy idea! These people do a very good job though. Came in on a weekday for the lunch buffet. The selection was quite small, but everything was made really well. The entrees were coconut milk vegetable curry, hardboiled egg curry, butter chicken, and a creamy spinach soup. They also had salad, white rice, fruits, and an endless supply of the best naan ever. Once it got down to a few pieces, they brought out more so that it was always fresh and hot. There was also rice pudding and gulab jamun for dessert. This meal wins for speed. I think we were in and out within 25 minutes, and that included several minutes of waiting for a table to open up. Guessing, I would say they have seating for about 30 people. Even when full, the wait is not long. I would have given it a 5-star rating had they included another couple of entrée options.

This place definitely deserves the #1 rated spot. Please do not let the location of this place scare you off! It shares a space with a gas station but you will not find better, authentic food anywhere else in the valley. I love the Coconut Chicken Kurma. It is my absolute fav. The lunch buffet is awesome. All you can eat naan? Yum! The price is very affordable. The owner is awesome. He always checks on his customers and remembers you when you come back frequently. What more is there to say. All around a great place to eat!

This place is awesome. A green salad is MUCH more than a bowl of iceberg and romaine and a cherry tomato. The tandoori chicken was yummy and the price very low. HIGHLYRECOMMEND

Beat Indian food you’ll find in Utah, and personally, the gas station combo just adds to the experience. :) My favorite is the Chicken Spinach Saag; weird green color, amazing taste(medium hotness is alright with this one, not too overbearing) You can’t go wrong with the butter chicken or coconut kurma either. Chicken vindaloo is too spicy for me, I’d stay away… Don’t bother with the other types of naan, classic is the best. Don’t forget to get a strawberry Lasse!(worth the price).

$ 7.99 gets you a buffet with good food. It included chicken kurma, a saag, and a vegetarian dish as the entrees, rice of course, and plenty of naan. Those were the main things I focused on. There was plenty of other food as well, including desserts and appetizers. It’s not the best Indian food in the world, but for $ 7.99 it’s definitely one of the better deals out there. Solid food for a great price. I’ll definitely stop by in the future when I’m in town.

Waited over an hour for our small order before we left. The food may be good(wish I could say!) but the service is horrible.

The food here is delicious! Best indian food place around here. I would go more often if it was slightly cheaper.

Their Tikka Masala and Butter Chicken make the location inside one half of a gas station, irrelevant. The food is that good. Besides being one of the only few places in Logan that I would recommend to non-Cache Valley dwellers, being stuck in this place during a busy night, is a little bit less than a nightmare. Come here strictly for the food.

Came here last night after my terrible experience at the first place my friend and I went. Don’t let the gas station thing fool you. This place was packed; and for good reason. Service was spot on. Food was amazing. Prices were reasonable. The only thing that lacked is I asked for my vindaloo to be ridiculously spicy. Wasn’t quite up to my liking. But it’s rare that I get good spicy enough for me. Do yourself a favor. Get to this place fast.

Tandoori Oven lives up to the hype. This is where the flavor is at in Logan. Everything is fresh and so tasty, but I do recommend ordering from the menu vs their buffet. Their Coconut Kurma is one of the best I’ve had. Tikka Masala is a close second. I prefer them with lamb or shrimp, but they’re great with chicken too. And their sweet and garlic naan are addictive. Remember, owner Sham Singh used to be head chef at the famous Bombay House in SLC, so he knows his stuff. And his family really are some of the friendliest people in town, and dedicated to their restaurant. Service can get backed up on the weekends, and it’s a small dining room so expect waits for a table. But they serve the best food in town, so it’s well worth the wait.

This is truly the best Indian food in Utah. The owner is engaged and the service is good as well. It’s part of a gas station, so classic hole in the wall place that is a must visit if you come to Logan and like Indian food. Try it!

Delicious! Loved their coconut chicken kurma and sweet naan. They have friendly staff, a variety of menu options and can even make anything on the menu vegan.

Good –Naan(hot, fresh) –Coconut Chicken Korma(tender chicken, flavorful) –Dessert(Kheer, Gulab Jamun) Bad –Chicken Tikka Masala(chicken dry, burnt) Ordered the $ 7.99 lunch buffet, I think if off the menu the tikka masala would have been better.

As soon as I started school at USU, I started hearing about the amazing Tandoori Oven. I wanted to try it, but one thing or another always led to me choosing to go somewhere else to eat. After two and a half years of choosing other places, I finally chose Tandoori Oven, and I was more than a little disappointed. Though the price was reasonable, the food was subpar, the environment was a little dirty, and the service was terrible. I’ve had much better Indian food at every other Indian restaurant I tried and a much better experience. I ordered the buffet and didn’t bother to go back for seconds because I didn’t want to eat any of the food twice. It was really just ‘meh.’

Solid Indian Food. The coconut chicken korma is the best thing I’ve had, followed closely by their butter chicken. Their Mattar paneer, usually my wife’s go to Indian dish, is less creamy than we’ve had at other places, unfortunately. But really there is no way you can go wrong with anything at tandoori oven. It stands out as one of the few really great places to eat in logan, considering it is not an all you can eat buffet or a burger place.

Update: I just tried Indian Oven’s buffet on main street today and wanted to give a contrasting view point. Both buffet’s are very similarly priced. The following thoughts only apply to both lunch buffets First, I love the firey hot sauce that Tandori has on their buffet every day. I had to specially request it at Indian Oven and it wasn’t as hot(which isn’t a good thing for my tastes as I like it hot). Most people will over look this difference. Indian Oven’s Fresh naan delivered to your table(included with the buffet) beats out Tandori Oven’s naan which is burned about a third of the time. Also, the Tandori chicken was better at Indian Oven. Indian Oven’s atmosphere is of a higher quality restaurant as compared to Tandori’s awkward gas station setup and Indian Oven has much more space if you want a true restaurant feel. Tandori Oven’s food has a more vibrant flavor though, so I will always prefer Tandori Oven over Indian Oven. Indian oven, in comparison, seems a bit more higher quality and more attention to detail, but as I said, the flavor seems a bit lacking in comparison to Tandori Oven. This may be that Tandori Oven’s food might be slightly Americanized to sell it, but I’m not complaining either way ;) Indian Oven’s service isn’t necessarily better, but it is friendlier, though I’ll wait for a follow up visit when they are crowded to see how they compare.

Bomb Diggity! Funny story: I wanted to take my significant other to the nicest place in Logan, even making a reservation. We drove around and around and finally she said, let’s stop at this gas station to ask directions. Well sure enough this great restaurant is actually attached to the gas station! Story over, now to the food. Wow it’s fantastic, everything is great. I can’t get enough of the chicken and mushroom, tender chicken with great sauce and if you dine in: the bread is amazing! Order the app get the meal and the whole bill still won’t hurt your wallet that much. Highly highly recommend!

My favorite restaurant in Logan even though I don’t typically crave Indian food. The naan is great and it’s a pretty good value. Spicy-ness can be adjusted. Each time I’ve gone I have increased the level of spice I request, because it’s never been spicy enough for me. Next time I am planning to try«Native Spicy» Tandori Oven is literally located within a gas station, which adds to its hole-in-the wall charm. *good place for vegetarians

Food was excellent, although I had no idea what I was eating. Staff was super friendly, too, and the place was clean. Logan/Providence is a small area and I didn’t expect to find such a little gem of foreign food there so we were very pleasantly surprised and excited to eat here!

Classic hole-in-the-wall Bias. I have never eaten at an Indian restaurant i did not like. Tandoori Oven is no outlier. I really enjoyed my lunch but would have to rate the food in the middle of the pack with respect to other Indian restaurants i have tried. The staff is awesome and provided excellent service. Tandoori Oven has an incredible local reputation. I know many die-hard’s who swear by this place. Because of the reputation & outstanding Unilocal reviews, i walked in with high expectations and was slightly let down — the food was average. So why is Tandoori Oven so highly regarded??? Here is my opinion: Hole-in-the-wall Bias — Tandoori oven is extremely unique; especially for Logan. This may explain why so many people are excited about it. Just take a look at the number of reviews compared to other places around. Why is this place being reviewed 2,3, or 4 times more? two words — IRRATIONALEXUBERANCE. Note: Reviews by Indians seem to be much more negative. Also, notice how so many people reference the restaurant being located in a weird gas station. Apparently, more restaurant owners need to close down their spacious restaurants and move into crammed gas stations… For these reasons, I think this place is good but overrated. Word to the wise: Adjust the scale down by one star at least
