Loma Linda Smog Check

The man who runs this place is professional, fast, friendly, but above all honest and ethical. I was waiting for my car’s smog check, and a little old lady with broken English came in. He took time to explain all of her questions. However I was most impressed when he explained things about her car that could result in higher fees or potential issues down the road, even though he could easily have taken advantage of her lack of vehicle knowledge and charged her far more. Folks, this is the kind of person I WANT to bring my business to.
As if his ethical business standards weren’t enough, here’s how my visit went: I was a walk-​in and was out within 20 minutes. I had all my paperwork done, my fee was a flat $ 40 (cash or card ok) without extra charges or attempts to «sell» me things I didn’t need. Customer service was friendly, efficient, and professional. Some other reviews have mentioned the waiting area as needing an «upgrade»; it’s a little dated, but I’m completely fine with that. I’d rather take my car and hard-​earned money to a business that treats its customers with respect. Thank you for a great experience! ¹⁰⁄₁₀ recommend!

I have been coming to Loma Linda Smog for more then 10 years, a one man show with no games business model, always precessional and you know what’s your getting. A dying breed of proprietorship with ethics.

The service was very professional. I did not make an appointment before going, but I was able to get quick service. The reporting was done electronically for me. Everything was so easy! I will definitely come back again for my next smog check, and I recommend this place to everyone.

I was in and out in about 10 minutes. They only do smog and it was 40 flat. A little less that some places around here. You can make an appointment. I did, but it wasn’t even busy when I got there. They take credit and debt. There’s a tire shop up front, it’s the place right next to it.

A small one man shop which is hidden behind Loma Linda Tire. I went in with my 2012 year model vehicle at 1:30pm on a Tuesday. I left at 1:45pm with a receipt and a certificate for passing the smog inspection. Total charge was $ 40.00. Highly recommended.

I went here after being told it would be an hour wait at west coast smog down the road. The guy working was very friendly and I had my smog in 30 minutes. I passed. Not the prettiest shop but makes up for with the service.

Quick service was in and out in about 45 mins. He got right to the point and got my smog check done in a flash! Not the cheapest in the area.

I called today around 1:10 pm needing to get my car smogged and at 2 pm I went and had it done. He charges 40 bucks and it was done in less then 30 mins! He was very nice. I’m glad I went there as other places charged more and one even charged 58 bucks! I recommend this place!

Oswald! Sweetest nicest person ever ! Just bought a 1995 jeep Cherokee felt wobbly on the freeway took it to him paid 7 $ per tire to balance. I was unsure if anything else tire wise might be wrong with my car and he asked if he could take it on a test drive I agreed came back told me it was in excellent condition and on my way I went took about 30 mins total! Awesome place

Absolutely rude! I had a scheduled appt for 5:15 got there on time and once he saw I had a coupon he quickly said it was going to be $ 40 because I have a SUV. No surprise in extra fees for larger cars but I just wanted to make sure it was a fair price since its my first time getting my car smoged, so I called my husband and before my husband could answer my call the man said he couldn’t wait for me to make a decision and come tomorrow. Really? Couldn’t even wait 2 minutes. Rude! Gave him back his coupon and said no thanks but I’m not coming back! The place was gross with a tiny waiting area/​office with dirty chairs. Not recommended, ever!

Fast, convenient, friendly, cheap. What else can you ask for in a smog check station? Called to check availability, owner told me to come in and he’d have me taken care of in a jiffy. In and out in less than 15 minutes.

As advertised! The gentleman doing my smog was very nice & efficient so I was in and out quickly. Like one of the other reviewers noted it is a bit hidden & I passed it twice (it doesn’t help that Unilocal had it mapped incorrectly) (it is next to a tire shop & within sight of the Harley Dealership). The price for my ’97 Mountaineer on 9÷24÷2013 was $ 45 which was the least expensive deal I could find (w/​or with out coupons AND for a business with consistently good reviews).

Great place to get your car smogged! I went to West Coast Smog and he was so rude. So, I left and came to Loma Linda Smog. Very fast and no additude.

The place was a little bit hard to find. You won’t see it until you drive all the way into parking lot. There was no wait and the guy complete my smog checked right away. Everything was done quickly and send to the state within 15 minutes. There’s a very small waiting room with a few chairs but dusty. Bring something to wipe off the chairs before you sit down or your bottom will definitely be dirty. Price are comparable and cheapest in the area $ 40 for a Toyota Corolla

Pros:
Later business hours (close at 6pm) as most smog shops close at 5pm (ideal for those who work late). Big plus is they got the best prices in town for $ 40 out-​the-​door! Most places ask $ 50 – 60! Keep in mind it is a test-​only station and no repair but no worry since the Car Doctors are literally few steps away! It is conveniently located near the freeway on Redlands blvd.
Cons:
–Place isn’t much so dont expect to feel like you’ve walked into a Saks 5^th.
–The tech on the first run ran over the speed limit for an incorrect reading on the test and the second time the exhaust reader wasn’t placed in the exhaust pipe and had to redo that test.
–The extra time waiting after they figure it out didnt bother me so much considering i’m paying less.
–employees arent uniformed and lack some degree of professionalism.
–tech saying «oops, I forgot» isn’t very reassuring.
Overview:
Despite the lack of experience and several short comings it wasnt hard to turn down the great price and ideal hours if you have no check engine lights and if you don’t mind them retesting your car when you know it should pass smog. Overall, it is worth coming since it is cheap and convenient and hopefully they’ll be more experienced then.

It’s clean here! Not like most places and the guy is nice.
Only waited about 10 min (or less) to get the test done. Sent the info directly to DMV eletronically.
Also they’re located next to a Used Tire shop (that sometimes has actual new tires).
