Wrote this place off for a while because it never seems like anyone is there. Big mistake. Some of the better Chinese food I’ve had in the area. Ordered with the app and by the time I got there 10 minutes later it was ready. Szechuan chicken was solid… pedestrian amount of spice buy flavorful. The Szechuan wontons were pretty amazing. Definitely would order again.

Order from here! Found this place through Unilocal. Not far from home. Must say, food was great! Beef spicy pad thai and orange chicken was yummy. Cooked just right. Every mouthful was delish. Potstickers and egg roll good too. Will be ordering from there again. Good stuff, much better than Tiki Hut on Roosevelt. Their stuff is always bland.

I love their recipe for sesame chicken! Little pieces of chicken, lightly breaded and deep fried. Then coated in a sweet syrup and sesame sprinkled on top. But I will not be back. The food was old, probably from the low volume. In the ten minutes that I was waiting, the register girl was seriously screaming into the phone. It was actually kind of scary that the restaurant lets her speak that way.

I’ve ordered Mr. Wonton through GrubHub multiple times and delivery has always been very quick. I’ve only tried their garlic broccoli and sesame chicken so far, but that’s because it’s been sooo good that I keep ordering it. Mr. Wonton has definitely replaced my former«go to» Chinese restaurant.

I’d give this place 2 ½ *s we know its a nice little carry out place. We came in to eat ordered different dishes~ they were all too salty and all tasted the same. The Thai food was a combination of chinese food and sugar. I like the name though. Other than that wouldnt go back. Sorry Mr won ton

Great takeout with massive portions. It’s very easy to over order. Quick turnaround time on pickup order.

Egg Foo Young is about the best around, and don’t miss the crab rangoon. Consistency seems to have slipped a bit over the years, but still some of the best Chinese food in town.

We have being trying several Chinese places in the area and even though some had great dishes, Mr. Wonton is our new favorite! We had great egg rolls, sweet n sour pork, sesame chicken and we didn’t make our way to chicken pad Thai since we were too full, but I look forward to it as lunch tomorrow! Even though we got take out the service was very nice! :)

First time I ate here was over the winter. Food was«meh», but what really struck me was 1) how freaking cold it was and 2) how empty it was. I needed to renew my plates so I figured I’d give it another try since the DMV is right there. Today it was different 1) the place was freaking hot 2) but still empty. Both visits were at lunch time. As I sat down I noticed a table with a box of Kleenex on it and a used balled up tissue on the table. Nice! Kung Pow chicken was ok, but I don’t think I’ve had the dish with breaded chicken.(?) Appears that they only have one person working at lunch. You ring a bell for them to come from the kitchen to pay your bill. Maybe they do decent take-out business for dinner. How else are the doors still open?

Yummy. If you are expecting a dinning experience… Don’t go. It is old ugly and plain. Service is awful. Now if you take out. Best chow-may-fun in the world. High salt but worth the headache. They also have an incredible was a sesame chicken. Prices are extremely reasonable and in 7 years I’ve never had a wrong order. A bit of a drive for me but well worth it. I’m not sure if owners have changed over. Or if tonight was off. The sesame chicken didn’t have the peppers in it so there was no soft heat. Still Delish but from what I’m used to there. It was off. First time ever.

Please see the review of Chris K., available below. Essentially the same experience. Worst Chinese food experience and one of the worst lunches in general, ever. Why is this place open? What do they accomplish? Even the water was bad.

Okay, I give up these 4 stars under some protest. To me, Mr. Wonton is just okay. Certainly nothing fancy or gourmet, and the place is a bit… well, seedy if you ask me. BUT… Girlspawn is one of the pickiest eaters in the entire universe. And yet she adores Mr. Wonton’s Garlic Broccoli. She would choose it over 99.5% of anything I could cook at home, and I am a fantastic cook. So for that alone — pleasing a usually un-pleasable person — Mr. Wonton gets the 4 from me. Lunch Special is a steal at $ 3.75. And my beef dish was really beef, although I asked for it extra spicy and it was super bland. I will continue to order from Mr. Wonton as long as it makes Girlspawn happy.

Food & Service: Solid 3 The first thing you notice as you walk up to this hole in the wall is that they were rated 3 forks by the Lombardian. They want to make sure that you know this ok. Very small empty place, I’m convinced they make money from take outs. Since I’m afraid to try anything with large amounts of meat, I ordered the vegetable Low Mein, average. Per JM I tried a pork eggroll, average. That’s it. I was forced to buy a can of coke since the the minimum amount you can charge is $ 8. That’s a bunch of nonsense. I will be sure to bring cash next time and maybe I’ll try some wontons.
