I used to be really fond of this place, the food was good, large portions, and decent pricing. A few months ago the elderly lady(usually handling sales and some cooking) and guy(usually just cooking) weren’t there anymore and some younger people took over. Service was still really good but the food while pretty good seemed to be just a little bit lacking in a very subtle way. Anyway, this evening I was just going down Main St. past the place on an errand and noticed all the front windows are papered over and there’s a sign that it’s for sale(fully equipped restaurant inside). I’m hoping this isn’t the end for Wing Yeung but I guess it’s time to move on.

Its not terrible but I’ve had much better. The food is greasy, especially the egg rolls. The fried rice is garbage, I could make better at home, its basically white rice and soy sauce… I am looking for a new place in the area.

This week my wife had been demonstrating reasonably good behavior and I had a craving for Chinese, we decided to try Wing Yeung. We were both VERYIMPRESSED. Ordered Mongolian Beef & Shrimp Fried Rice. Upon arrival I was pleasantly surprised to see plenty of people in late model cars picking up their orders. I was greeted by a courteous, well groomed, pleasant staff. Ordered for two people but the bag felt like it weighed 6lbs. Food was piping hot, delicious, and priced right. Portions were generous, since it is Saturday, after I get my drink on for my second dinner, tonight I will not be eating my customary El Famous Taco /Nacho dinner platter just before bed, but a second helping of Chinese instead. And I’ll still have left overs for tomorrow. We can’t wait to try their other menu items.

Not that good of Chinese. Ordered general Taos chicken and crab Rangoon. Both were just ok… Pork rice was pretty good but that was it.

Wow where to start. This is a great local gem. The food is very good. Cashew Chicken is very well done. We always try to order new items. The portions are huge so unless you have a army at home get the small portion. We seem to eat leftovers for a week and still toss some out. The take out is fast and hot. Prices are very reasonable for what you receive.

3.5 stars. Fried rice is excellent and huge. Egg foo young was also v good. Orange chicken is different because they don’t mix the sauce and the chicken but what I didn’t like was that it was way over cooked. Very fair price.

The portions are generous for the price. I thought the Pork Fried Rice was decent and the Egg Roll was good, but the Pot Stickers were incredibly bland and doughy. I wouldn’t even have guessed there was pork in there if I hadn’t ordered it myself. Soy Sauce did little to revive them. I will eat almost anything and most strong food aromas don’t bother me the way they do others; however, my car was immediately overpowered by the pungent scent of my Carry Out order. It was similar to a wet, canned food smell and I felt bad that I was bringing it back to the office. I wasn’t entirely sure if I’d even want to be in the same cubicle with it. I ate my meal and it was passable, but nothing to write home about. Not much to even write a review about. The Pork Fried Rice is the safest bet. Skip the Pot Stickers. And make sure you aren’t wearing anything you particularly love. That odor clings to you and follows your every footstep like a stalker.

Fried rice. That’s why i stopped in here, and some pot stickers. Those two items were enough for three days of dinner. I know this might sound crazy but there was too much chicken in the rice and the pieces were huge. Yea, I’m picky, tell me something I don’t know. It was still delish though, just like the potstickers. Oh yea, I’ll be seeing you again Wing Yeung… whatever that means.

Have been coming for take out at Wing Yeung for years! The best house fried rice we have tasted. Sweet and sour chicken has not too sweet sauce. Shrimp and lobster sauce is one of our favs. We compare this to Chicago’s china town and that is why the five stars.

Wing Yeung was good, but overall just an OK average Chinese take-out place. Overall the value for the money was very good, and portion sizes were generous. We ordered Shrimp Fried Rice, Egg Foo Young and Crab Rangoon. All three of the dishes were very heavy with larger pieces of yellow onion which added a strange overly onion flavor. All in all, it is not bad if you are looking for a quick Chinese Take-out in the local Lombard area. I give Wing Yeung 3 stars. Also, a little bit of a disappointment they did not take American Express.

I’ve tried countless Asian take out restaurants in the Western Suburbs and when you factor in selection, price and quality of food this is my favorite. Portion size is large, no under-filled containers here. If you are a fan of potstickers, theirs are top notch. Nice and fat with a crunchy golden brown(but not burnt) side. As another reviewer mentioned the Yu Shan dishes are a tasty brown sauce that really isn’t as spicy as the menu implies. I plan to ask them to bump up the spice next time I get that dish. Still awesome flavors regardless. Excellent fried rice. It has a bit of grease to it but it isn’t overboard and most importantly it tastes fresh, which can not be said of many other places. While this restaurant may not be much to look at, if you want some great take out, Wing Yeung is an excellent option.

I’ve driven past this place too many times in my life. As of three days ago, this trend will end. The food was ready in a short amount of time(10 minutes). Yus! In true fat-kid-fashion I order a large quantity of Wing Yeung food. I ordered: Yu Shan Broccoli, fried won ton, and hot & sour soup. The price came out to about $ 10. Very, very fair. Lots of leftovers. Yus! Yu Shan Broccoli was great. Comes with choice of rice. Nice mixture of vegetables in a brown gravy. Not as hot as the«Hot!» label warns on their menu. They should drop the uppercase and exclamation point. Fried Wontons were as exactly as advertised. They contained some tasty vegetable combo. Hot & Sour soup was pretty hot. Good stuff. I think it had chunks of pork or shrimp, doesn’t matter. Secret: Soak fried wontons in hot & sour soup. Yus! Girl working the counter was cute. Double Yus! It was my first time here and it won’t be the last. I strongly recommend a bare minimum of three(3) visits here in your lifetime.

This is a nice find in Lombard, it is a little off the beaten path. But if you are looking for good food at a good price then this is your place. Just take out, no sit down. Unfortunately it is a mom and pop place, and they are not much on conversation, in fact almost like they are almost machine like. The surroundings are rather plain, so if you are in the area and are looking for good food at nice prices but do not wish to be spoken to this is your place. This will NOT get an Awesome Baby from me !

I was skeptical about this place because a) it’s in the burbs; b) it’s in a strip mall; c) it’s carry out only, and d) a Luna carpet sales guy raved about it. Now that I’ve tried it 3 times, I’m a fan. Is it the best Chinese food? No, it won’t knock your socks off, but hey it’s take out, and it still taste good. They do a good Mongolian beef(not authentic, but still tasty), and I enjoy their Empress Chicken and Orange Chicken although the sauce can be very heavy and sweet. The Hot and Sour soup is pretty good, and the crab rangoons and egg rolls are yummy too. The only thing I’ve had so far that I did not like is their fried rice — I think they use way too much soy sauce. I didn’t care for the Chow Fun either, but who cares, there are plenty of other items on the menu worth trying. The portions are out of this world! They give you so much food — it is amazing. And the people there — they are so incredibly nice.

Best Chinese take out ever. I travel a lot and have eaten Chinese all over the country including NY and San Francisco’s Chinatown. This place is my favorite. They are super fast(food always ready in 10 – 15 min) and the taste is incredible. Portions are generous(overflowing outside of the containers) and the family that owns and runs it couldn’t be nicer people. Try it– you’ll love it!

This is a truly great Chinese takeout place(no dine-in). The lunch specials are amazingly generous and way cheap(around $ 5 bucks)! Lets make this really clear… you get ALOT of food! Their delicious fried rice is a meal in itself. The Mongolian chicken, egg foo Yeung, and general tsao’s chicken are very, very good. I cannot recommend this place enough!

I am surprised no one has written a review for this place. This is one of my favorite Chinese take-out places in the suburbs. Away from Roosevelt Road’s busy traffic, Wing Yeung is located next to 7Eleven(previously White Hen Pantry) along Main Street. I’m writing this review because I’m craving their delicious fried rice! It’s got a distinct flavor no other take-out place ever had. Their orange chicken, and egg foo yung is also good. The mom-and-pop establishment is affordable, friendly, and quick. Please don’t confuse this place with Lom-Ling located in downtown Lombard. The owners of Wing Yeung have received many phone calls ordering dishes from Lom-Ling.
