I’m a fan of Scatterbrained for providing a space for emerging and established artists to show. There’s sorta two Scatterbrains: a small storefront and larger gallery space in the rear. The storefront itself is a mash up of horror and graffiti culture. They sell movie memorabilia alongside Montana rattle cans. Bomb the suburbs. The gallery space is a simple unfinished box, perfect for showing art, especially large paintings. Most of the art on sale is stenciled pop culture references. I had a blast looking at everything. Don’t be afraid to ask about prices. I’ll admit, I was too shy myself – you never know when a piece is going to be way out of your price range and then you feel like an ass telling an artist that their work isn’t worth that much to you – but later noticed a few pieces that I liked on facebook were very reasonable. If they had been labeled I probably would have went home with at least three canvases. Maybe next time…

this gallery/studio is so much fun! the owner, jeff, and his fellow artists are super down-to-earth and genuinely nice people(which can be hard to find in artistic environments). there are a lot of unique and wonderful pieces here. definitely check them out!

Amazing art, great atmosphere, prices are spot on, owner is a great guy(helpful, friendly, easy to talk to). Doesn’t get better. This gallery opened recently & I’m sure it’s only a matter of time before everyone is talking about it. My advice is to go to galleries during their first year(first few months is even better) & pick up art at ridiculously low prices. Custom art ties a room together/gives it that«designer» «magazine» look.(Watch the design shows – always custom art.)
