Went here on a Friday night for the first time after purchasing a Groupon for 2 wine flights and cheese plate and ended up ordering a bottle and an additional cheese plate. The staff was super attentive and friendly. The atmosphere was cozy and the live music was great! Perfect spot for a date or to catch up with friends. Will definitely be back!

Wine wine and more wine. Also a decent selection of beer. No kitchen, but they are fine with you bringing it eats. When I visited I saw others get pizza across from bricks. Then, I saw Bricks deliver it to your table! Glad these businesses can work together! We have met others there and just enjoyed the evening. Twice now I’ve seen live entertainment which was great. Hard to visit but enjoyable music. Next time in warmer weather we will try the patio.

So if you need a great date night spot… The Vino Cellar is it all day long! They keep it so simple … Great wine, cool beers, a little cheese, meats and crackers… all done really well! The flights are awesome, whether it be the white wines, reds, or stouts! Don’t forget to visit on Friday and or Saturday to get your live jazz fill!

Only negative would be that almost every time we attend, several beers on the menu are not available. Love the atmosphere, staff and of course the drinks. The cheese and wine tasting sampler is excellent. Love the outdoor seating in the summer. Highly recommended.

Went with a friend after work, the whole experience was great. Very helpful and attentive. Will be making this a regular place to visit. Wine was delicious! Cheese and meat tray was fantastic. Glad we added the meat to the cheese tray.

Call me Debbie Downer but this place doesn’t do it for me. The décor is way to sterile. I like my wine bars to be a bit funky and cozy with overstuffed furniture and cool shit to look at. The owner Ceasar is wonderful, outgoing and he belongs in the hospitality biz for sure. His wife on the other hand comes across as stiff and you can tell she’s not naturally friendly. She really turned me off. I will say the cost of pours is quite reasonable but hello we are in Lombard not Logan Square. Not sure I would come back.

Nice enough venue in downtown Lombard if you’re looking for a basic wine bar. Some friends and I stopped in for a drink and were disappointed to find our first two drink options were out of stock which seemed pretty amateurish for a bar on Saturday night. There really isn’t that much else to say since the server just handed drinks, however the cheese selection looked alright. The bottom line is I didn’t come in expecting much and left with a slight buzz courtesy of my 3rd most favorite beer.

Okay so this was our first time and I pretty sure we came at a bad time but we had a bad time because of it. We waited forever to be acknowledged then the person that brought our wine was someone that didn’t work there or at least if they did they were off the clock. Normally I would give a place a second chance but it’s too far away to waste time. I hope that in the future they get their act together because the one lady seemed very nice but I won’t be back.

I seriously love having this place in downtown Lombard! Fun selection of beer and wine, some local, and nice, friendly staff. I’ve been a few times now and will totally be making this a regular hangout. I do wish they’d offer more flights(sweet white, dry white, sweet red, dry red, sparkling, etc.) instead of just white and red, but they’re still great!

Had a groupon for this wine bar in downtown Lombard. Great place. We had two wine flights white and red. A cheese flight for a nice introduction to this wine bar. I recommend. Corkage fee is only $ 3. Wine selection excellent. Staff are friendly and very knowledgable about their wines, local craft beers and cheeses. Since they don’t have a kitchen it is a ‘bring your own food’. Italian restaurant across the street(great pizza) or bring your own from favorite food place. They told us a family had a small party there. They plugged in their crockpot for a meal. They also have entertained Friday and Saturdays. We saw Mighty Joe last night. It was a lovely set up. Will be returning.

Great wine and beer at a great price! The staff are all super sweet and friendly. You can get awesome wine at a great price to take home as well. They also have live music on the weekends. Although they do not have their own food you can order in and enjoy there. Highly recommend.

One of the birthday gifts I received this year was a Groupon for a white and cheese flight for 2 at The Vino Cellar. Wine and cheese? How did I not know this place existed? I was even more thrown to find myself in the middle of what is downtown Lombard. There’s a downtown?! Despite the posh wine bar setting, we were able to walk right in and seat ourselves. There was also a jazz musician playing some music while we were here. The live music was nice and not too loud. Our waitress/bartender was very friendly. Even though the Groupon indicated that we had to purchase a food item, our waitress was super cool and said we didn’t have to do that. I was kind of relieved, because there isn’t a food menu here. There are 2 – 3 different cheese flights and breadsticks on the menu, so I’m glad she let the rule slide without us even asking. We both had the white flight which included a chardonnay, sauvignon blanc, and prosecco. All 3 wines were generous pours and fantastic. My favorite was the prosecco. The cheese included a cheddar, gouda, and monterey jack. Again, all of these were good. Cheese portions were a little bit small though, but I’m an bottomless pit when it comes to cheese. We decided to stick around for some more drinks. I laughed at Dominic P for ordering the«Viva Diva» moscato, but it was amazing moscato regardless of the ladylike name. Aside from wine, Vino Cellar has a nice list of craft beer and cider. I had the Cider Boys Strawberry Magic Apple cider. If you like ciders, this is a must have! Vino Cellar is a cute spot for a date or pre-dinner drinks.

Wow! What a debacle! The place is modern and roomy inside… However, the Organization is something that needs to be addressed. When my girlfriend and I arrived, there was only a few people sitting in the venue enjoying some wine, cheese and breadsticks(that’s all the food they have) we were seated and Carlos who quickly took our order and made some suggestions. After a while our other friends arrived and the place quickly filled up. There was only two people working in a room filled with easily 70 – 80 people. They were obviously short staffed and didn’t have enough glasses to «keep em coming»! Seeing as though the two people on staff were overwhelmed, we decided to go the the bar and collect our next round our selves… Paying for them as we went. By the end of the night, the friends that hadn’t left yet were told they had a open tab remaining. However, drinks were ordered and paid for as we went… Clearly they were unprepared for the number of patrons that were there to enjoy a glass or two of wine on a Friday night… Nice atmosphere, pleasant staff, very unorganized! Doubtful I’ll go back…

My tips on how to improve this restaurant: — Turn down the lights/turn on music/turn OFF the tv. Its a wine bar and the mood/ambiance can be achieved with low lighting, nice music and no tv — Dont serve crackers for the cheese plate in the plastic container they come in — Serve more cheese on your cheese plate — it was maybe enough for a toddler — Put curtains up! I felt like I was in a stark/cold auto parts shop or something ETC…

The Vino Cellar is under new management and are doing some new things! Went to a champagne tasting last night which was awesome plus had a live band. Happy we have this place in our town!

This is a really cute little place to grab a glass of beer or wine(or two, or a bottle for $ 10 with no cork fee). It feels like you’re in someone’s living room, and there’s also an outdoor seating area between the buildings. We just held a little Retirement Party shindig for a coworker, and it was pretty great. The prices were pretty reasonable($ 4.5 or so for a Trumer Pils, about $ 6.5 for a Lil’ Sumpin’). Bring your own food — Brick’s is across the street and there’s a sammy shop and a Chinese restaurant as well. :)

I’ve been here twice now and the fact that I have so little to say says a lot. The atmosphere is rather stark. Some might call it clean but it gives off a cold vibe to me. Minimal décor, bar lined with bar chairs and at either end are big leather chair arrangements and some large tables. Of the wine bars I frequent, the clientele, while mixed, is dominantly women or couples. This place seems to be designed for men and since I’m not one, it doesn’t fly with me. I’m an average height woman and I feel like a child at the bar. It’s awkwardly high. I’m tempted to rest my chin on it. Most of the seating arrangements are dominated by large TVs with large seats and far spacing. Maybe appropriate for a sports bar but not here. I’d never come here for a date night. My first visit was for a wine tasting. It was okay but the pours varied greatly depending on who served us. One bartender gave a nice sized sample. The other gave a tiny taste like you’d get at a grocery store. This visit was just to have some wine and I was disappointed that there was nothing to nibble on available. Our bartender was very informal and nice

This is an interesting concept for Downtown Lombard, a hopped up liquor store with a tasting presentation. I am very glad to have it in Downtown Lombard, hell, I am very glad to have anything in Downtown Lombard. They have generous tasting flights for $ 12. It is a lot of wine in a short time. I have to say nothing that I tasted the day I was there inspired me to buy a bottle. Different palates like different things, I drink a fair amount of wine(translation: s**tload of wine) and was dismayed that nothing was striking my fancy. There are niblets, cheese and nut type offerings but no other food. My understanding is that they have a full service liquor license, not just beer and wine. This place may be improving dramatically shortly. Interesting beer selections. That maybe the way for me to go next time I stop by, which I will.
