Be careful when ordering take out. My total order was of 5 burritos and they only gave me ONE side of salsa and ONE small bag of chips. Are you serious?! I was charged for a side of guacamole which was never added. All the steak in my burritos was dry and hard, eating a shoe would’ve been more tender! I called to talk to a manager but was told by some lady who barely spoke English that there was no manager on duty and it wasn’t her fault, she didn’t put the order together but that if I wanted to I could go back to get more chips, salsa, and the guac I was missing. I live in Redondo beach, I drove to Lomita just to get disappointed. I suggest paying more attention to your job Alfredos servers. You probably don’t care but you just lost a loyal customer of 17 years, kudos!

Used to work here back in my teen years(15). It’s ran by a new owner now, but is definitely still good, if not better than before. Customer service is on point! Love using the 15% off food when I remember to check in. For two the tostada salad was enough. I’m stubborn though so still orded a chicken taco.

Preface: I ordered the burrito plate. Food– 4.5÷5 portions were good and food was tasty. salsa has a bit of a kick but it is still good. Service– 4⁄5 waitress was good and polite. however, there was only one waitress and she had to bus the tables and cater to like 5 different tables overall: would go back again

Here’s an update. The food is still great and everything so that is what the 3 stars are for. But when I called recently, it sent me to voicemail and told me to call later. Not good for a business to do; especially a food business. If I call, it’s because I want to order food for pick-up… not going to ‘call later’.

Food was really good, salsa and chips were great(I loved their salsa). This was my second time to this restaurant and everyone was friendly and food tasted fresh and really well prepared. Chicken burrito was still really hot by the time I finished it and it tasted amazing, too. Even the chips were really hot and freshly made each time they brought it over to us. The only small problem my friends and family had was that they didn’t come by our table enough to check for refills on the chips and salsa or the soda. I didn’t mind much but the waiters could try to stop by peoples’ tables a bit more often. Restaurant wasn’t really busy either time I went but they never really stopped at our tables unless we approached them first.

The restaurant we were headed to had a line out the door and around the corner and so we stumbled on to this one. What a nice surprise. The salsa is fresh and oh so good! I hadn’t had pozole in a long time and wow. The meat was so tender. You can’t lose here!

Not very impressed, we been by a few times and it looks like a great place. We walked in placed our order, it took about 10 min to receive our drinks, after eating the spicy salsa we needed something to wet our whistle. So the service was a little slow. As for the food, it was ok. The best thing was the guacamole. We won’t be visiting Alfredo’s again.

Waitress Marisol had to deal with some unusual challenges last night, but she handled it all like total pro. BTW– 15% off with Unilocal check-in!

The food here never seizes to amaze me! The house made chips and salsa are worth the trip alone! I’ve been coming here for over 15 yrs now, and today’s service from Marisol was outstanding and the best we ever received here. She was very attentive and showed that she cared to accommodate to our dining needs. Even the waiter made sure that our finished dishes were taken away as soon as we were done and checked on us a well.

Now I’m glad ya said it all! Alfredo’s Alfredo’s Alfredo’s ! Let me count the ways you made me waste money on you. I ordered a chimichanga for my coworker . I ordered 2 chimichanga burritos. Chimichangas are supposed to be fun with the ground beef, melted cheesy cheese and just a terrific eating experience right? Wrong!!! This was far from that and this chimichanga only had a few little snippets of fun. All of the cheese was concentrated it seemed in one little corner of the chimichanga ! Also the ground beef was bland and also this chimichanga was filled with rice and beans! Also this plate came with a side rice and beans? I think they got way too happy with the rice and beans! I am going to stop at Walgreens to purchase some Beeno too! Also the guy said it was a «wet chimichanga»?? Never heard of a «wet“chimichanga!!! That is a dichotomy in itself! A chimichanga is fried so why would they wet it? A wet burrito is covered in red sauce, melted cheese and all of that stuff which was MIA on mine and my coworkers chimichangas! In closing, the moral of the story is don’t order chimichangas here. Also they only gave me one bag of chips for the 2 burritos we ordered! I should have spent my money elsewhere. Thank you.

So here’s the thing: I really enjoy the food here, but the service has been so off putting I have pretty much given up. I live in the area, so I when I first tried Alfredo’s, I was so happy to have a restaurant walking distance. Their cochinita pibil plate is salty but rich in flavor with yummy pickled onions. The albondigas soup they serve with the plate is hearty and the meatballs weren’t overcooked — everything was tender. I also liked the churros with dulce de leche in the middle. The first time was the only time service wasn’t an issue. I waited a while for the food, but everything came out well. Since then, I have had issues with no one picking up the phone, orders taking forever, poorly packaged, leaking food containers, and missing parts of my order. The worst time was when I called and got the answering machine that stated very clearly that I should leave my order as a message. It sounded odd, but it was so explicitly stated I assumed this was how they wanted to do it. Nope! I arrived at the restaurant, explained how I had placed my order, and was told that«they don’t do that». Excuse me??! Then why was the recorded message saying to leave messages placing to go orders? When service is this disorganized, it makes me hesitant to continue frequenting the restaurant. Who knows — if there are this many service issues, perhaps this could be affecting the organization of the kitchen and food preparation as well.

They have great Chile Verde sauce but I wasn’t fond of anything else… especially got thrown off when we found a gnat in my daughters soda. We wont be back again.

Food is good but service leaves much to be desired. Too many Mexican restaurants out there to put up with bad service. I’ve been twice so far and have ordered the Cochido(beef soup) both times. Delicious! The second time, they brought me an empty tortilla holder and it took 5 minutes to get a server’s attention and to convince him that there were no tortillas inside(why would I lie about 3 measly corn tortillas?), then another 5 minutes before I got my tortillas. It was a slow night with 3 other tables so there’s no excuse for all the servers to just disappear at the same time. On another visit, I did see them frequently watching TV. The indoor seating area gets stuffy when it’s warm out but luckily there is an outdoor patio. When I presented the Unilocal check-in coupon, the server started reading the reviews and it was a full 5 minutes before I got my phone back. He asked me who was writing the reviews, what’s the website name, etc.

This place was great. Always nice when you are treated by friendly servers. Our waitress so friendly and sweet and attentive. I hade the vegetarian burrito and asked for added veggies in it. It was made to perfection. The burrito is huge and clearly was to big for me to finish, so I had the rest the next day for lunch. Great prices too. My coffee was also made well and I enjoyed two cups of it. I will be back again.

(Dined 07÷28÷14 M @ 7:00pm): My first meal in Lomita turned out to be good Mexican food and BIG margaritas at reasonable prices! Being the closest place to eat, a friend and I rolled into Alfredo’s Restaurant after a long day of helping her move to the city of Lomita(so this is where it’s at!) to be closer to a new job. We were exhausted, hangry and probably would’ve eaten shit on a stick; thank goodness it never came to that! Margaritas were calling, so this seemed like a perfect place to try: Unlimited Fresh Tortilla Chips & Salsa(Complimentary) — Mmm… there’s something divine about freshly-made crispy warm tortilla chips and homemade salsa that eased my soul and made me want to kick up my feet and lean back in my chair… Another bowl, please! Grande Mango and Lime Margaritas On The Rocks($ 8.75 ea.) — «Go grande or go home!» should be everyone’s cry when ordering a margarita. This beautiful orange-yellow drink mirrored the gorgeous sunset that was before me while the accompanying golden huge shot of tequila was merely the icing atop this liquid treat. The mango flavoring was lip-smacking good and the tequila seemed a bit weak at first but soon enough caught up to you. My friend’s lime margarita was good, but paled in comparison to the power of the mango! FYI… the drinks were more like«on the rock pellets», so this was a bit odd. «Bartender, I’ll have a mother» — salud! Fish Soft Taco($ 3.50) — When this arrived, I swore it looked like a fish filet from my elementary school lunches in the cafeteria. Sadly, I couldn’t get that image out of my head which might’ve killed my enjoyment of this. I liked that the«filling» was all on the side, but the Thousand Island dressing sauce was a bit odd. Although I used it, I also grabbed the Cholula Hot Sauce to liven things up. Chicken & Pork Tamales($ 2.45 ea. x 2) — Each was stuffed with poultry and meaty goodness. However, I found the chicken to be a bit dry and not shredded enough; whereas, the pork was shredded perfectly and the wet-style helped with its succulence(I recommended both served wet). Service — With the exception of the cooks, this one older gentleman named Arnie seemed to be the only staff member around. He warmly greeted and sat us in the patio area. He gave us plenty of time to decide what we wanted while he helped others. We finally placed our order, he immediately brought out the chips & salsa and glasses of water, our massive margaritas followed about five minutes later, then the rest of the food another 10 minutes after than. He occasionally checked on us, filled our water glasses regularly, and cleared away any empty dishes. While we chillaxed after our meal, he brought our check but didn’t rush us at all. Mad props for holding down the fort solo! Parking(Free) — They shared a tiny lot with a couple other businesses. Luckily, it appeared the other businesses were closed and we were only one of three parties when we arrived. Otherwise, there were plenty of spots(didn’t recall any meters) along the main drag of Pacific Coast Highway and all surrounding streets. Atmosphere, décor, ambience — A simple shack of an establishment with a no-frills fast food-like inside dining area filled with booths and tables, while the more attractive covered outdoor patio beckoned you with its backyard feel with nicely-appointed wooden tables, heating lamps, strewn lights on the canopy and views of the world right outside . On the brightly-painted walls were framed pictures. Natural lighting was abundant while some electric lighting hung from the ceiling inside. There were a few TVs inside while music played softly in the background. Attire — Totally casual, so I would normally be in a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops. Overall, Alfredo’s Restaurant was a nice introduction to the city of Lomita. The margaritas and chips & salsa were a hit with me(I’d return just for those, but I wanted a truly blended margarita next time!), but I definitely wanted to return so I could try their burritos and tostada — my two favorite Mexican dishes. The menu selection was plentiful, so it would take awhile to try everything. The 15%-off Unilocal check-in was a nice surprise, so remember to use it! I found fairly good value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above(total bill was around $ 34.00BEFORE discounts and tip). And, they accepted my credit card of choice… AMEX! 3.5STARS
