Sizzler

I hate leaving bad reviews, but I guess I just feel like being honest. I wasn’t really that impressed. Not for $ 20.
The ordering is kind of funky. You choose from the menu off the wall and then you order at a cash register. When she gives you your receipt, there is a place to tip. So, naturally, I tipped. She then said «here’s your change.» There was no change though. I used my debit card. The place where it said «tip» was her tip. She wasn’t supposed to give it back to me. Lol
Then the «server» came by and told me that she was going to be my server. She looked at my receipt and said «OK. You ordered the cheeseburger. I’ll be back with your food.» That was it. Not really much service. Am I supposed to tip her to? Didn’t really make sense to me.
I also thought it was kind of gross that she was bringing out monstrous trays and setting them on empty tables to pass off the food. The trays were kind of disgusting and it didn’t seem right that she was setting them on empty tables.
The burger was OK but the fries were soggy and extremely greasy. I ate maybe half of them, but only because I was starving. So, between the burger and drink and tip it was almost $ 20. Next time I’ll just go to In N Out.

I would never give 5 stars except you already know about Sizzler. So there is a very good reason I am giving 5 stars here. First off is that the food and cleanliness are good. Secondly, the remodel is a vast improvement.
Last, but in no way least, is that after enjoying dinner with my wife and receiving excellent service I forgot my brown leather bomber jacket on the bench seat. The next day all I knew was that I could not find my phone. When I returned to ask if they had found my phone, the manager asked if I had lost a jacket and that triggered my memory. And don’t you know??? My phone was also still inside the pocket I left it in!
Wouldn’t think twice about returning here. A very decent spot this!

I have not been to a sizzler in forever.
It has become so high-​tech. This location is so clean.
it is pricer that before.
The salad bar is great because there is a variety of things you can get, including dessert too.
Drinks not included.
But food is delicious.

When you first walk in, like in every Sizzlers, you see a menu board and you would have to order and pay for everything before you sit down on whichever table fits your preference. Afterwards… the fun part…
FOOOOOD!!! It was… meh! :/​If you order any items off the menu don’t expect much; seriously, the portion sizes are horrific! We ordered the Malibu Chicken that automatically comes with the salad bar… which afterwards makes sense on why it comes with the salad bar being in that it came with exactly 12 pieces of french Fries and a smaller than my fist breaded chicken with melted cheese on top… eeeewww! on top of all that disappointment, you have to get your drink but they only had one fountain with a few selections so you ended up waiting in a long line just to get a drink! WTF!
Honestly, I still don’t know why my family and I still go back! I’m writing this review and it’s our third time here?! IDK! I guess it’s just one of those mind boggling «why the F» we still here kind of things… plus, my mom loves sizzlers… due to back in the day memories I guess…
Yo, I’m not dissing Sizzlers and all, I guess I’m just pissed my chicken dinner came out crappy as hell!!! Not cool!!! Did I just give a bad review based on one dinner… you damn right I did!!! Ahhhhish!!! stupid chicken meal!!!

Haven’t been to a Sizzler in nearly 10 years, but decided to give this one a try tonight. From the soggy wet pasta noodles to the employee cross contaminating all of the food without wiping down the thermometer in between food items, I can safely say I won’t be back again. Management really needs to train their employees on cross food contamination or people are going to get sick. Literally watched an employee switch the thermometer from soup to cold salad items to fruit to taco meat, etc without cleaning the thermometer in between. Posted video as evidence. Not ok.

This Sizzler was renovated, and the interior now looks much more modern. I’ve been to this location twice (once before the renovation and once after it), and I could definitely tell the difference. The restaurant interior looks a lot cleaner and it’s brighter, and the décor is also more contemporary.
This Sizzler has never been crowded when I went, and upon my first visit (I think this was the first Sizzler’s Restaurant I had been to on the mainland), I was surprised to see how affordable it was (compared to the Sizzler’s in Hawaii). The entrée prices were actually pretty cheap, and some of the value combos are an outrageously good deal!
Because of the great prices, value meals and renovated interior, I would definitely come to this Sizzler’s again if I’m in the area. Here’s what the BF and I got:
«Endless Salad Bar»: Whether it’s for lunch or dinner, I always get the «Endless Salad Bar» as my entrée or as part of my entrée. This salad bar is one of my favorites because it doesn’t just feature greens like spinach and Romaine. You also benefit from a medley of soups to choose from, a taco bar with cheese, meats and all the fixins’ (they never had one of those in Hawaii), hot appetizers (chicken wings, pastas, etc.) and tempting desserts (soft serve, etc.). I like the assortment of cheeses (blue cheese, Cheddar and cottage cheese) and dressings available, and I always find appetizers/​entrée-​like items to get as well. I often make two trips to the salad bar before getting dessert. This is a great option if you’re super hungry for lunch or dinner. The Sizzlers on the mainland are much more affordable than the one in Hawaii (that closed down) was — it actually doesn’t cost much more to add it onto your entrée. And, be on the lookout for seasonal selections that are part of the salad bar. I think during the winter (currently at some locations), seasonal offerings like «Spiced Pumpkin Soup» and a «Pumpkin Cheesecake Shooter» are available as well.
«Signature Value Menu: Malibu Chicken»: This Sizzler classic meal is SUCH a steal because it includes the salad bar WITH the meal! Score! I’ve gotten this option twice and enjoyed it both times. The entrée features breaded chicken topped with shaved ham and melted Swiss cheese, and it comes with the eatery’s signature Malibu dipping sauce on the side. This sandwich is delicious with the ham-​and-​Swiss combo, and it includes additional flavor when topped with that yummy dipping sauce. This combo is definitely worth getting just because the salad bar is included with the meal.
«Fish & Chips»: This entrée includes two pieces of fish and fries, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. This wasn’t the best «Fish & Chips» meal that I’ve had in my entire life, but the fillets were tasty and sufficiently battered, and that’s all I really ask for in a hearty fish & chips dish. Plus, I ate a few bites and took home the leftovers because I was so full from everything I got at the salad bar. I was pleased to find that the fries were tasty but not overly crispy … just the way I like them.
«Hand-​Breaded Chicken Tenders»: This newer addition to the Sizzler’s menu features three pieces of breaded chicken tenders that are served with honey Malibu sauce for dipping. If I’m in the mood for some deep-​fried goodness, I would opt for this newer entrée and tack the salad bar onto my meal.
«Shrimp Scampi»: A decent «Shrimp Scampi» (at a reasonable price) can be hard to find, and I’m down to try the Sizzler’s version someday. This classic pasta dish features sauteed shrimp and linguine in a zesty butter and garlic scampi sauce. It sounds like a great, savory combo, and I hope the pasta comes with a decent amount of juicy, succulent, sautéed shrimp!

Literally 60% of all the open tables were dirty and hadn’t been cleared. It’s 2:45, isn’t it after lunch rush? Gross.

Great improvement nice and clean customer service excellent. My children love it we go once a week.

This Sizzler re-​opened under new management… and what an improvement! My co worker and I go there probably once every two weeks now. Management is great, they great us right away and are very friendly, always inquiring about how we are doing. Their salad bar always stays clean and fresh… never any problems with wilted lettuce or running out of anything. They help you quickly, and you are in and out with a good lunch meal in between.

Newly remodeled. Quality is still shitty.

Just got back from the «Sizzler» in Lomita. This is our second time going to this Sizzler since they relaunched. Nice interior some TV’s and ample seating. Nice beverage and ice cream bar.
I ordered the All-​You-​Can-​Eat salad bar, which was ALL fresh & clean. Good choices. My husband ordered their «Steak (6pz.) and lobster tail (very small) with a baked potato, sautéed mushrooms (they had no favor much) and their famous cheese toast (which is always great)!
The worst was the lobster tail (over cooked to almost nothing). That’s BLASPHEMY!!! A CARDINAL SIN FOR LOBSTER!!!
The baked potato, seem like it was sitting for awhile and had started to settle and before a little hard or maybe under cooked. His little steak was cooked medium rear and was right on the money.
My meal this time I had a little complaint. The menudo was a little bland, too much hominy and not enough pork.
I’d give it another chance. The reason why we went, because NORM’S was totally full and we didn’t want to wait long for seating. When it is full like that, they always seat you in the back. We’ve been there before when it gets full. Not liking the back seating!
Service is too slow. And they need to clean their bathrooms too!

VERY IMPORTANT!!! Cheese toast is still available even though they offer rolls. Just ask ;). I am very impressed with the new look and food options. The vegetable beef soup is so flavorful. I like that the drinks are now resulted by the customer (though of course they will do it for you if need). I live the chicken wings at the salad bar and the salad bar is often refreshed

Fast service … food is at your table within 10 to 15 minutes … it’s delicious …

The new décor with the TV’s are a nice upgrade. Just seems to be a more of a cafeteria type place now. The service was not to great. The only thing they do is basically bring you your food. Refills are now. For you to get. The steak and Italian herb chicken was really good. The shrimp sewers with the rice. Seem like it was microwaved. Salad bar variety was ok. I hate to only give 2 stars because I really enjoy Sizzler. But not this time. The new bread was good. But when I saw that the waitress offer other people the original bread and not me. I was offended. I would have ask for both. Just not good today.

Was here for some business reasons was starving and drove by this place and the first thing that popped into my mind was ‚“salad bar”. Drove in took a look around the bar and such. The salad bar looked super clean with a lot of delicious varieties. Decided to dine after visually inspecting the salad bar with my buddy. stayed here payed about $ 26 bucks for salad bar for two and drinks. Decent price delicious food delicious salad bar. Loved this place customer service was at its absolute best along with the delicious food! i will be back if i’m in the area.

This location just got a total face lift and was taken over the corporate office. The interiors are nicely updated, the salad bar quality has improved and the service was pleasantly remarkable!
Couldn’t decide where to go and decided to stop by after seeing the «grand re-​opening» sign; don’t regret the decision. Early bird dinner special is a bargain with choice of 3 entrees including salad bar.
I like the changes and will be back.

This Sizzler was just ok before. Then they closed, remodeled (which took so long) and opened with a BANG!
Even though its Sizzler, I have to say I am impressed. Interior is all new and modern with flat screens. Salad Bar is fresh & new items. The service is amazing. It must be under new managment. I never noticed managment before but now they’re presence is known and they make sure everything is up to par.
We now make this our weekly lunch spot! I have not once been disappointed. Fresh salad bar everytime and their soups are great!

It’s been many years since coming to this Sizzler. When I saw it was closed, I thought it was no loss. Recently saw it was open again and had a BOGO coupon, so thought we’d give it a try.
Restaurant appearance was great, modern in every way. Clean, organized, well staffed and very appealing. Old brick replaced by clean slate, stone and wood. Brightly lit with nice fixtures. All new seating and tables.
While I did not have the salad bar, it looked well stocked, clean and inviting. For the price I think I’d try it next go around.
Now the food. Wife had a full rack of ribs and I had the rib-​eye. The ribs had great taste, but needed a little more BBQ sauce. My steak was perfectly cooked and great flavor. I’d defiantly do the rib-​eye again. Sizzler toast is gone, replaced by fresh hot dinner rolls with honey butter. I could have had nothing but the rolls and I’d have been very happy.
With the BOGO, we both ate for $ 21.00. Money we’ll spent on a good dinner.
All in all I will be back!

You need to check out the new Sizzler. They have change in so many ways. The service… The food… The look are top notch. The salad bar has new items on display… Yummy. They have a new look with flat screen TVs it looks bigger and more modern. I’m happy they are back in business. The wait was worth it.

I know, I know it’s Sizzler. There’s better, but as far as Sizzler’s go.
This place is at a deficit when it comes to its salad bar. I can’t be too mad at it cuz they still have this excellent meal deal. $ 10 for your meal and you get an AYCE salad bar. So I piggy up at the salad bar and take my meal home.
This location needs to beef up their salad bar. Will I be returning to this Sizzler? It’s possible.
