This is a great local place which my husband and I frequent as we love the food! I get that it’s a bit of a dive, which isn’t for everyone, but it’s so good! The chicken tikka masala is my go to dish. With the combos you get multiple entrees and you get rice and naan for under $ 10 bucks! We’ve taken relatives here when they visit and they’ve all loved it. Definitely recommend!

This little indian buffet is hidden inside the supermarket at the Village Shopping Center. if you are looking for Indian food then I would highly recommend this one. I do regulary eat the same meal and having tried the jalfrezi here, I was more than happy to return a second night, when I returned to completed my visit to Lompoc Nice atmosphere, pleasant staff and fantastic food

The restaurant was a little hard to find when we walked in to the store. Once you enter, You’ll find it on your right towards the end of the store. The owner is really friendly and is a good cook too. The place is clean. I’m an Indian and I can vouch for the food there. The chef is Punjabi and he cooks authentic Punjabi food. We went as a family of four and we all loved it. Would definitely visit again.

Use to go here, until the guy in the butcher shop dragged his overflowing trash can full of garbage literally 6 inches away from my food and the food in the heating pans. And everything was uncovered. Sorry it just grossed me out.

Very happy to have this place handy in the Lompoc area! I had been searching for quite some time to locate a restaurant to satisfy my Indian food cravings. This place definitely hits the spot. For what it is(a ‘restaurant’ located inside of a grocery store), I think they provide a perfectly sufficient atmosphere for a lunchtime meal. Pros: For reference, I go roughly once a week with my coworkers(group of 5) for lunch. That said, I have not been unsatisfied with an any dish I’ve tried there, and I’ve tried just about all of them. Food is very flavorful and colorful. From the time I arrive, to when I sit down to eat my meal is never more than a few minutes. Additionally, each time I’ve gone, they have made my group a large batch of very tasty na’an bread fresh upon arrival. Prices range between $ 6-$ 10 per person, which I believe is reasonable for the quality of food. Cons: Upon walking in, the first impression isn’t great. It’s in a grocery store, so not exactly the most elegant dining experience. But they also aren’t pretending to be a gourmet restaurant. I will also say, it’s not the best Indian food I’ve had, but it is certainly good Indian food in my opinion. And given the relative Indian food scarcity that exists between SLO and SB, I think this place suffices very well.

I’ve eaten a lot of Indian food from around the country(and even in India) and this has been my favorite. So far I’ve eaten here about 5 times and each time has been excellent. I’ll be eating whenever I want Indian. Highly recommend.

The food is good for the area, I’ll give them that, but if you order from them, USECASH! If you use a credit or debit card, please make sure to double check your bank statements for the amount you are actually charged. We were erroneously charged over $ 1800.00 on a $ 18.64 tab. I get that mistakes happen, we’re all human. We talked to them and our bank, got it taken care of and the erroneous amount was refunded. But when they went to charge the original amount, they STILL got the amount wrong and overcharged us. Frankly, I think the meal should have been comped in good faith. But if not, they should make darn sure to not make the same mistake a second time around. It’s a shame really.

Best, and only, Indian food around. I recommend going at lunch, since the food at the end of the day can be a little inconsistent/old.

I obviously came at the end of the day(7pm). I wish they posted times of when they cook. Fresh, absolutely five star food. The flavor is there. However, it’s sort of buffet, fast food, gourmet? If that makes sense. I had the non vegetarian #1 combo for $ 8.99. Fresh, I would be happy to pay that. But, the food served at 7pm, I rather they package it up and sell it as an end of day special for $ 4.99. Take/reheat at home. I was most disappointed in the naan bread. Defrosted in chef mic, heated on the grill and served rubbery. It might be a demand issue. I’m sure if everyone in the village supported the Curry Kitchen it would be cooked round the clock. I wish it was cooked around the clock. Fresh is best! Give it a try. I would choose curry kitchen over McDonald’s, burger king, taco bell etc.

The Curry Kitchen is literally the closest Indian food within 1 hour each direction(San Luis Obispo & Santa Barbara each have Indian). Its grand opening is soon, but we tried it tonight and were really pleased. It is located INSIDE the Village Market, so hopefully nobody else wanders around confused like we did. Four vegetarian options were awesome– the garbanzo beans and lentils were my two favorites, but the other two options are potatoes and paneer with tofu. The non-vegatarian options(for now) are all chicken items. Masala was my husband’s favorite. We also ordered veggie samosas that were crispy on the outside with potatoes, peas, carrots on the inside. Big fan of those. Both of our meals also came with garlic naan, and a side salad. Can’t say anything but good things about this new place! Our meal could have fed 3 – 4 people, and it was around $ 22. Thank you for finally bringing Indian food to the area.
