How does this place not have more reviews yet? Seriously. Such a great label! I feel like I just discovered a yummy secret here! It’s great that they offer more Rhone style wines especially for the area as it mixes it up a bit. Great wines, quality, and price point.

If you only go to one winery in the Wine Ghetto, this is it! A very cute, well appointed tasting room that uses the space nicely, great artwork and photos depicting the DSP story. Wines were fun! Def. something for everyone here. Loved their 2010 Syrah, Cab from Humboldt county as well as the Roussane. Amazing people, great wines. You can’t go wrong!

I was EXTREMELY excited to see DSP open up in the Ghetto! If you are a fan of their wines like I am, you know that this is a big deal. Before they opened, you would have to search for their wine at Los Olivos Grocery or somewhere like that and if you were lucky, you scored a few bottles… now, you can go in to the tasting room and buy as much as you want! The owners are Chris and Deanna King, and they have a real passion for the wine industry, they are super friendly too, when you go to the tasting room, you will likely meet one or both of them. Ask them a million questions about their wine… they love to talk about what they do. I think that their Rousanne is outstanding and a steal at the price that they sell it for, and I really love all of their other wines as well, make sure to try their Syrah… it’s raspberry-chocolaty-tannic awesomeness! If you only have time for one or two tastings on your Ghetto visit, you have to make this one of your stops for sure! You will email me a thanks later…

We were excited to see the new De Su Propia Cosecha tasting room this weekend when we took our(almost) monthly pilgrimage to the Wine Ghetto. The wines were well made and solid– very easy to drink and approachable. The reds all seemed to be sourced from Paso fruit so come in expecting big, jammy, ripe Rhone wines. We left with a bottle of Grenache Blanc which has an incredible mouthfeel, creamy peach notes and a long floral finish and was a steal at $ 20. The Roussanne was also lovely and incredibly rich and sourced from local Stolpman fruit. Apparently the owners have been making wine since ’05 but just opened the tasting room– overall a great place to visit if you’re looking for Rhone whites and big jammy California style reds.
