I like the food and the staff a LOT. One of my favorites is the Korean BBQ spareribs, but the fried chicken wings are also good, too. The toilets are in desperate need of remodeling, but otherwise it’s fine. They do need to address the climate control… it’s either freezing or hot and steamy in there. All said, I DO prefer the Dragon Palace to the one down the street which I find cold, sterile, uninviting and has a very poor selection of hot foods overall.

Yikes, the food was insanely bad I am from Las Vegas and I pay $ 4.95 for a sketchy Chinese buffet that makes delicious food. The food here was terrible. The fried rice was so hard it got jammed in between my teeth the first bite. Even the wontons were over fried. Save your $ 10.80 and go to panda express across the street!

Let’s start with the positives. The floor wasn’t filthy. The lettuce was fresh. They had fortune cookies. The music was enjoyable. We paid $ 60 for 3 adults and a child. That was about $ 45 too much. We can go to Panda Express across the street and get MUCH better food for half the price. This was my first and last time here.

The only good thing about this place is its price. $ 14(w/tax) for dinner buffet. The food was mediocre, and you’ll quickly regret going here. Your money will be better spend next door at Eddies Grill. You get what you pay for.

My family and I went into this restaurant after church last Sunday and let me tell you… it was NOT good. The food I mean. The selections were plenty, but having plenty of crap to choose from means the owners don’t care about the customers. The chicken was like jerky, and the rice and noodles were overcooked. The desserts were old looking, the brownies looked like they had been frozen and thawed, then frozen again. Then sushi. I have tasted better from Costco. Truly, I am glad we all prayed before our meal or we probably would have gotten sick from it. Also my husband’s eyes bugged out when he saw the check. Next time its Panda Express!

I will not return. The buffet is quite horrible. The food seems old and stale as well as quite oily. I went here for a work function and became sick due to the food. I ate some of their sushi and it was gritty and pasty.

All the food tasted like soy sauce that was soggy, and the orange chicken wasn’t close to being good as regular orange chicken or even Panda Express quality. The sweet and sour sauce tasted like ketchup was added to it, and the fruit looked as if it had been bad for days. The best part about our experience was that they served tea right on the spot, and their soup was decent. The place is clean and the service is decent as well, but we aren’t ever going back. The price is not worth the surprisingly bad food.

We went here during our stay over President’s weekend and I wouldn’t go back. The $ 14 a person for dinner, it makes Hometown buffet a bargain at $ 10+. The food was not very good even though there was a wide variety for pretty much everyone

Other reviews say the food is dried out and trays are empty. If you see something you want you tell the server and they PREPAREITFRESH for you. Everything I tried was delicious. Red pork, chow me in, beef and broccoli, chicken on a stick, green beans, and cashew chicken. Very good.

You got to go here and order the war wonton soup a la carte. It is the best I ever had! I had it at an award winning place elsewhere and it wasn’t half as good.

Sure, the place appears clean and everyone is friendly, but the last time that I was here, I got sick. I would not recommend Dragon Palace. I would much rather go to Panda Express if I wanted Chinese.

Went there for an afternoon buffet and all the food was dried out barely any left and cost a whopping 12 dollars for nothing. What a waste of money at least put up food that people can eat. horrible. dried out fried rice. dried out chicken. seems like it was heated up from the day before. close it down or put out food like any real buffet. I wouldn’t send my worst enemy here. You guys just obviously dont give a crap about your customers and I hope this closes down and replaced with a better business real soon. DISGUSTED. Was very surprised there wasn’t hair in my food

I should have walked out the door as soon as I walked in due to the fishy smell, but I decided to give it a shot. The only positive thing I have to say is that the waiter was very polite. First, I ordered a beer and the mug they brought was cracked and broken. All the fried foods were disgusting since they were barely warm. Everything was bland and looked like it had been sitting there all day. I served one plate and hardly touched it. I did get my monies worth from all the almond cookies I ate since those were the freshest things there. I will never come back to this restaurant again.

BADFOOD! I thought I’d give this chinese restaurant a try, I should have read the reviews beforehand. People gave me a smiling welcome, showed me my table, I got a plate, and went to the first island and was dismayed by just the look of the food. Everything looked, dry and overlooked, and it was. Even the sweet/sour sauce looked strange. My first plate was dry bland and unremarkable. On my second plate I tried different items one of which was chicken drumstick in a lemon sauce that looked promising. When I bit Into it, I immediately gagged from the smell and taste, the chicken was spoiled before it was cooked! STAYFARAWAYFROMTHISPLACE!

My mom and I went here for the lunch buffet last week and we won’t be coming back. Most of the seafood was dry and over cooked. Most of the food in general was very bland and when it did have flavor, it wasn’t very good. Also, was slightly disappointed that there was no sauce for the potstickers(or dumplings as they’re called here) and no wonton soup. The egg rolls didn’t have a very good texture on the inside either. The dessert was just awful. We tried all the cookie and cake things. The brownies were probably the worst I ever had. Also, the ice cream wasn’t that great either. However, the service was good and the wait staff were attentive. My plate was always gone by the time I came back with another.

I love this place I’ve been here several times for Lunch and every time I left I was always happy. The food is delicious, the buffet has a great selection, and the servers are friendly. Its worth the money and is the best Chinese Buffet from SB all the way to San Luis Obispo. I eat Chinese food almost every day and have been to a lot of buffets in the 805 I’d say this is my favorite place. If you’re in SB or Santa Maria with friends etc and can make the drive its worth the trip.

Was a little nervous to try it but it’s not bad. Flavors are good, staff is friendly and the food is hot. I like it for the lunch buffet. only thing is missing is sesame chicken.

Took family here for the first time. The lunch buffet price is very reasonable. We were surprise on the large amount of selection they provided. They even offer cocktail shrimp and claims for lunch. They have lots of dessert and fruits too. I specially like their claim. It has this special satay flavor to it. Their ice cream is very flavorful.

If you’re really in the mood for Chinese, this place isn’t too bad. But don’t go by yourself, because if you’re a little blonde girl alone, everyone stares. Lo-mein: was pretty good actually. Sushi: only 4 types when I went, not bad but rice was over cooked. Orange chicken wasn’t too orangy, but a lot of batter. Same case as the five-spice chicken, but neither were bad. They give you like $ 1 off for military, so it brings it down to a whopping $ 12 for a meal. I’d probably go again. just not by myself.

:2.5: I knew there were a couple Chinese buffets by our hotel(Embassy Suites), but I think we might’ve ended up at the wrong one. May be we should’ve gone to China King Buffet which was directly next door to the hotel. Oops. Anyways, there was a big group of us, around 10 of us that rode in the Solvang Prelude bike ride and what better than to go to buffet. Just seems so convenient. Figure it’s fast and easy. However, when we got to this buffet a little late, perhaps around 2PM and the selection was mediocre at best. Some of the food looked like it was sitting out there for awhile. I was telling my hubby on the way that I was craving a steamed pork bun and siu mai… Oh Hello, this buffet didn’t even have that?! What kind of Chinese buffet doesn’t have pork buns? *shrug* I gave 2.5 stars because I thought the service was friendly, they kept my diet coke filled and removed our dirty plates pretty quickly. Then again, there weren’t that many people in the restaurant, so that should be a given. The check came out to 21.47(IIRC) + tip(for 2 meals and 2 drinks) so I found it a little pricey for what we ate.
