I have went to this restaurant quite a few times, but the last two times I went the food was not as good. One was on mother’s day the Pad Thai was bland and the noodles were over cooked. The second time I went on a Friday about two weeks later, the Pad Thai didn’t have the flavor it used to have, and the salad had the pieces of hard bits in it they used to never use before and it was a lot smaller. The peanut dressing bring back the one you had years ago that was the actual real peanut dressing and get rid of the tangy stuff you serve now please! I thought it was just me but my dad has said the same things I have. I am thinking there is new cook. I have been going to this restaurant since 2007 so please change it back to the way it was before the new owner took over. I don’t want to lose my favorite thai place. On the busier days of the week and special days they need to have more than one waitress! The poor lady is running like crazy trying to ring up orders, answer the phone, and cleans table and then serve customers that is way to much for one person. I also forgot to mention my egg rolls and wontons were cold on mother’s day to. So on big days such as this get another waitress so maybe that will alleviate some of the problems customers have bought up. This place has been around for awhile maybe they need to make a few changes since they have obviously gotten a lot more business.

Food was semi decent. Portion size was overly huge, felt myself leaving still hungry. Service was poor. Somewhat rude. And when they refilled our water the water was hot! Seemed very friendly after we left a tip for them!

I really don’t understand the negative reviews of Thai Fast Food. I have been eating here for years and, except for a short period of time a few years ago when different ownership did cause the food to suffer, I have had nothing but delicious food from them. Their vegetables are as fresh as can be, which is not surprising considering they buy them directly from a local vendor. Their meat is lean — NEVER any nasty pieces, and their flavors are authentic. I don’t know what the person who complained about prices is talking about — the lunch menu still offers many choices for between $ 6.99 and $ 7.25 and the dinners are only $ 2 more. You get soup or salad, rice, your dinner choice(my favorite is the silver noodles) and an egg roll. The quantities are generous. Quite a bargain when you compare it to what you would get at Carl’s or some other place where the combinations meals now regularly top $ 7. I have also had the chicken curry(very tasty), rhad na noodles(delicious), and many other of their menu choices. I also like their fish with basil leaves — a nice change. They get a lot of to go business from the Embassy Suite hotel next door, which houses many civilians who are here on temporary duty for Vandenberg Air Force Base. Word has spread amongst them as to where to go for a fresh, tasty, inexpensive meal. As stated by others, the ambiance is basic — located in between a Little Caesar’s and a Subway, with just tables and chairs and a few Thai art pieces on the walls, but always clean and the tables are cleared quickly. I moved to Santa Maria a little over two years ago, but still make time to visit Thai Fast Food whenever I get a chance.

Went here again yesterday, food was amazing, yet again. Wanted to write another review, and give them done cred. Also, I’m adding menu picks for those(like myself) who appreciate having them. E

It’s a common trope that the best places to eat are often found in holes in the wall, little places that look like nothing from outside. Thai Fast Food proves the rule. They have a surprisingly large menu, none of the one-page menus popularized on restaurant fix-up shows … but then there’s really nothing to fix up here. It’s good food at reasonable prices. They offer very generous portions of all the usual Thai staples. The ambience isn’t great unless you’re an eater so I wouldn’t suggest this for a first(or second) date unless s/he is a foodie but definitely a place to come to once you’re comfortable with each other. Five stars if you just want tasty affordable chow, four stars if you want the more exotic dishes, a tablecloth, or mood lighting.

We were in Lompoc for the day and had no reference for a place to eat. Just pulled into a shopping center to look. This Thai place is surrounded by mexican restaurants and a Subway. This place, however, had many tables full. That’s a good sign. We had the Pad Thai and Yellow Curry. Very good quality and the price is fantastic. Not a fancy place but someone in the back knows how to cook Thai.

It’s a sit down restaurant with service, not just a fast food place! Decent food, tasty curry, with egg noodles. Also, open later than the other thai restaurants in town!

I went to check this place out last night despite the spotty reviews just because it was convenient to where in staying. I tried the shrimp fresh rolls, and the chicken Praram. Usually I love both those dishes because of the tasty peanut sauce. However I didn’t find the sauce for either to be tasty or peanut-ey. The sauce tasted more like sweet and sour. I will say it was a lot of food for the price but since everything was just ok I wasn’t that excited about having leftovers.

If you want to get below average Thai food quality and less than 10 bucks per dish, this is the place to be. The Pad Thai shall be the signature dish of Thai dishes; however, I’ve had my worst tasting experience until today. If you want to be here, don’t ever order the Pad Thai…

We’ve been here several times and I think a bump in stars is warranted. I think that they have very authentic, clean flavors here. It’s a no-frills place but it’s all about the food for me. Everything but the pad thai is extremely satisfying and we don’t even feel the need to try the other Thai places in town. Come with an open mind and an empty belly.

Situated in a strip mall between Little Ceasar’s and Subway, this little Thai restaurant is a remarkably good value. The yellow curry, pad thai, and the chicken satay appetizer where very good, while the green curry and red curry were also good. The beef in our pad kee mow was kind of a weird texture, and the salmon in the mango-glazed salmon special suffered from being previously frozen. The service was very friendly and accommodating, allowing us to bring in a couple bottles of wine and serve them without a corkage fee. A plentiful family-style dinner for six ran just about $ 80 including tax and tip(excluding the wine we brought in), and we felt it was a bargain. We have a local wine merchant to thank for the tip on this hidden gem.

One of the best Thai food in Lompoc. It’s a hole in the wall with great food. Used to eat here frequently until we moved out of town. Since we were in town today decided to drop in. Food still taste good. I was glad to see same peeps running this place. Service was fast and she kept filling my husband’s glass with water without having to wave her down. Try the Pad Mee Kow. Love it!

So upset. A couple of friends and I spent $ 100.00 on a to go order and they messed up on our order. When we call to let them know so we can go back to get the correct order the owner of the restaurant clearly says No that they apologized but she wasn’t going to change the mistake they did. And I asked her why and she said that we had already paid for the order and that she had already spent money as well. Never going back.

Hello Michael, my name is Jaliya. I am the daughter of the owner of Thai Fast food. We all have opinions but it’d be appreciated if you keep the negative to yourself. So for you to call my aunts bitches because she wasn’t up to your high horse standards why don’t you take a step back and realize who the real bitch is here, and I’m not asking for your forgiveness. It would be appreciated if you comment was deleted. And if your not happy with our food than I’m sorry buddy, but that’s the most authentic Thai food you can get in America, because it’s coming from people straight out of Thailand in the back cooking for you, not americans who were taught out of a cookbook. But you don’t have to come back if it bothers you oh so much

Place can be described as one of those gems/whole in wall. Customer service was great. I needed potassium so I got the coconut water. I had seen these types but never had one. It was delicious. I got the vegetarian Pad Thai. It was really good. Usually when you get vegetarian they leave out fish sauce and it tastes bland and grosse. I know it can be made flavorful without so it’s a good indicator if they made it right. Sure enough it was Excellent! ! It even tasted better second day. Portions are generous. Prices are very reasonable. Will be back!

We order from here quite often and they never disappoint. A handful of times there has been some mistakes with our order but, nothing too bad. Great food for a great price.

Nothing wrong with this dine-in/to go strip mall Thai joint. We almost gave it a pass after reviewing some not so complimentary opinions on this site. Look how wrong you can be, sometimes you can’t judge a book by Its cover. Pad Thai and chicken satay was on our menu tonight, fresh produce and tasty shrimp, in the Pad Thai. The noodles were pleasantly surprising. Chicken Satay entailed tender morsels on a skewer, the peanut sauce was unique. The place is O. K, I’d return, when in beautiful downtown Lompoc do what the Lompocians do, check out a unassuming Thai restaurant. When I’am on the road I always remain as Feral as the laws will allow and so should you.

UnilocalERS you done us right! :) Thank you! With over a hundred reviews what more can I say? It’s a fast food Thai — -z The service was quick. Our server was pleasant. The food was good. I ordered the red curry my fav. It was very good prepped a bit different than my fav Thai place but still very very good the only thing I didn’t like they used what looked like frozen mixed veggie. Which I later found at the bottom. The man ordered Pad Thai and of course loved it. I tasted it and it was very delish Prices very reasonable. Quaint. Easy access as well.
