Used them to cater a graduation party. Great people to work with! Food was on time and fresh. Everyone enjoyed it and complimented on it. Would definitely recommend them!

Harold’s Square was a very pleasant restaurant to visit. I had an Appetizer which consists of chicken fingers that were out of this world. Everybody has Chicken Fingers, not like these! They are a Crispy batter on the outside(without the oily taste) and Tender Chicken on the inside. They come tossed in numerous flavors or you can have the flavors as a dipping sauce. My favorite was the Blue Cheese, which is homemade! I am a blue cheese fanatic and I will tell you this recipe was the best by far in all my years of trying different recipes and their attempts to get it right. Harold’s Square definitely got it exactly right! My wife enjoyed her grilled chicken pecan salad so much that her plate was empty and ordered another to have for lunch the next day. Their Menu has quite the Variety. Something for everyone. The set up of the restaurant is very friendly with a lot of personal touch. The staff, including the owners greeted us and were flawless in their service. I took a tour of the kitchen and I tell you, you could eat off the floors. All in All Harold’s Square is a HOMERUN! You need to do yourself a Solid and give Harold’s Square a try. I promise, you will leave FULL and SATISFIED! Sincerely Very Satisfied Customer Danny R LaValley

We had dinner at Harold Square last week and it was a great experience all away around. I am very fussy about pizza and the chicken nitro pizza was delicious. The crust was thin and crisp just like I like it. The fried pickles were a big surprise. I never had them before and they were very good. Our waitress was delightful and very attentive. My husband and our friends loved the beer choices. We will be back.

Recently reopened and so far excellent. They are increasing their menu in March to include dinners. A must try is their homemade sweet potato wedges & mac & cheese. Sandwiches are excellent also but haven’t yet tried their pizzas. Will definately be eating here again.

Harold Square has recently reopened. Completely new menu, and from what I understand, new ownership. The new Harold Square has appetizers, pizzas, and sandwiches. They do not have dinners or children’s meals. We ordered a large pizza, soup, and some chicken fingers. Pizza — the pizza was good. The crust did not look anything like the picture(floured, brown, brick/coal/wood oven fired) on their website. So, it seems the website pictures are stock pictures(at least the pizza one seems to be). If you expect the crust to look like the one in the picture, it doesn’t. The actual crust is yellow in color and dusted with cornmeal. I’m guessing it was cooked in a traditional pizza oven. I felt it was a bit under done, but it was chewy and a bit crispy. The pizza toppings were good and it was tasty. They do have a nice variety of pizza offerings. Soup — We had the chicken spinach. It was delicious and filled with chicken. The soup has pureed spinach in it so it’s a bit thicker than a standard chicken soup broth. Chicken fingers — The menu says«Our own fresh(breaded and never frozen!) chicken». Well, they are not breaded at all; they are battered. Big difference. These have a «puffy» batter like you see in Chinese restaurant chicken fingers. The batter on these though was more bread-like in nature though; it tasted a bit like soft pizza dough. We did not care for them at all, and my daughter wouldn’t eat them. If you like thick(and I do mean thick) puffy batter on your chicken, you will like these. They were fried up crispy and the chicken was cooked throughout. We had them plain with the nitro sauce on the side. We had requested blue cheese but we received ranch. The nitro sauce is very spicy and tasted good with the ranch though. The ranch dressing appeared to be home made. They come 4 to an order. For the price($ 10) it seems a small portion. The tenders look massive though, since they have at least 1/3″ of puffy batter all around them. Service — the woman answering the phone was pleasant and polite. She was easily able to answer my questions about the menu items. My husband picked up the food and he had no problems. Everything was packaged up well. The only mix up was receiving ranch instead of blue cheese with the chicken tenders. All in all, I think the food was overall good and we’ll order again. Londonderry needs more good restaurants and this looks to be a great addition. I’d like to try the sandwiches. Hopefully they will consider offering kid specific items(«standard» breaded chicken tenders, mini pizzas, mac & cheese, etc) in the future. Not a deal breaker though, eventually my kid will eat real food(I hope) …

Restaurant has recently reopened. Old place was good, this place is great. We had the salmon BLT, unbelievable! Bacon was thick and flavorful, salmon was blackened well, whole grain bread was excellent. Hubby had chicken tenders. He rarely critiques what he eats but praised his meal highly. Can’t wait to try the pizza.

Just recently reopened, I have visited several times. The pizza is great we had the Nitro Chicken. I love the chicken fingers and chicken wings they use fresh and not frozen processed. The staff is friendly and helpful(I think it’s family owned). Only disappointment is they are in the process of getting their liquor license so no beer yet. They hope to have it in the next few weeks.

Nice homey feel. Large selection. Pizza is a hit or miss, it’s always either amazing or really under cooked. Usually on the better side

‚Good sandwiches… Have not tried the pizza or other dinner Items. I stuck with the famed New York Style deli sandwiches. The roast beef, Turkey and corned beef(Rueben) are all tasty, fresh and piled pretty high! The cole slaw and dill spear were a good accompaniment. I only went to Manhattan, NY. once a few years ago to sample the” real deal” deli sandwich. I have to say that Harold Squares version of the big bulky sandwich falls a bit short. But hey… who’s doesn’t! I will continue to frequent this eatery as I explore the other offerings. The dining area is comfy, bright, clean and inviting. Prices are competitive for quality and portions.

We had a gift card here — never would have eaten at Harold Square otherwise. We used to live in Londonderry for 5 years and never knew it existed until my mother pointed it out. To our surprise — it was REALLY good. Its a little outdated, but great for a bite to eat. Wish I knew about it before we moved to Derry!

My husband and I went here for lunch on Saturday Sept. 72013. The day of the week is apparently important because on the weekdays our meals have not been a disaster. I ordered a roast beef sandwich on what was supposed to be a «toasted» onion roll. When I got the sandwich the roll was straight from the bag. I asked our waitress why is was not toasted and some genius from the kitchen actually told her to tell us that it was«technically» toasted because the onions on top were at one time cooked! Next, you’ll pay extra for the«spicy» fries which are just their regular fries with paprika sprinkled on top. Lastly, the pizza looked promising, but when it came out it was soggy and wet in the center. This goes away as the pizza cools and reabsorbs the moisture. I’ve been a restaurant cook for 20+ years, and I know when I’m being fed BS. This was that time. Finally, any business worth their salt will not tell a waitress to come out and argue with the customer about the order… this results in a smaller than usual tip… I’m not picking on you dear, but you’ll learn the longer you work as a waitress, the more the kitchen staff affects YOUR tip.

I needed to update my review of Harold Square since it’s all about the overall food, value, and service, not just the pizza takeout I had a while back. The print ads for the pizza are now corrected, except for a small link on menu section of their website. Okay so I had Saturday night dinner at Harold Square. They offer several dinner specials including the $ 9.993 Course Dinner(Thurs-Sat) and Prime Rib dinners(Fri & Sat). There are two options in the dining room, 1) Full waitstaff table service or 2) Order at the counter and sit at one of 4 high top tables along the wall. I chose full service dining to be more comfortable. The waitress brought out a glass of house ice water and took my order for the $ 9.993 Course Dinner, which includes choice of soup or salad, entrée, and dessert. I started out with a bowl of Pasta Fagioli which was excellent, plenty of garden vegetables, beans, ditalini pasta, ground beef in a tasty tomato broth, served with homemade focaccia bread, very clean to eat. For dinner, I got the Spaghetti & Meatballs served with homemade focaccia bread, which had very thin spaghetti(just right), topped with a tasty marinara sauce and 3 soft homemade meatballs, a very filling and tasty dish. For dessert, the Strawberry Shortcake was also very filling, which had large homemade shortcakes, strawberries, and lots of real whipped cream. Overall, I had a very enjoyable meal(as good as it gets) with plenty of tasty food at a bargain price of $ 10.79(with tax before tip) and great attentive service, water topped off and I was checked on throughout dinner. A frequent dining card is also offered, visit Harold Square 5 times and get $ 5 off the 6th visit. Aside from the lack of good hours during the weekday evenings, I’m disregarding the rating system of my previous review since several other places I’ve reviewed in Londonderry/Derry close much earlier.
