Blue Mist

I am stylist (for 10 years now) and recently quit to stay home with my kids for a while. One of my former clients/​friend found Kendall through a Mom’s group. I loved her hair and decided to try her out for myself! Kendall was very friendly, professional and knew exactly how to do what I wanted. And BONUS she cut my hair the exact same way I would have cut my own hair if I could, which is huge! I was having old co workers cut my hair and they did fine, but not exactly how I would have done it. (They still give me a big discount too) BUat now I will gladly spend the extra $$ to have my hair done the way I would do it. Thank you so much Kendall!!!

Made appointment for same day, very happy they seemed to work me in. I got to the salon early and checked in. I sat in reception area for 18 minutes before someone came to tell me that the girl I scheduled with wouldn’t be in until 40 more minutes, then said I could wait for next available stylist… another 25+ minutes. No thanks.

Apryl is an AMAZING hair stylist!!! I have brunette hair naturally and I like to have my hair highlighted pretty light. She knows how to make it look perfect, and she breaks my base which makes the look last an extra week or two in between appointments. If you’re a blonde and looking for someone who is good at blondes, she is your girl! She also listens very well to my hair concerns and recently fixed some botched layers I received from another stylist.

I went to a «discount» salon to have my hair cut last night. It was a total disaster! The back of my hair had been hacked off. In a panic this morning, I googled salons near my office. I called Blue Mist as soon as they opened this morning, and spoke with a sweet woman who said they could help me. A few hours later, I was at Blue Mist ready for my hair intervention. Apryl was incredibly friendly, and immediately got to work on fixing the disastrous ‘do I had been given the day before. She was fantastic, extremely professional (she’s been in the biz for 16 years), and very fun /​easy going. The salon was modern and beautiful, and the people couldn’t have been nicer. I have already booked my next appointment!

Nails:
PAM IS AWESOME. I see her every week to keep my nails looking fabulous. She is great to talk to and there really isn’t anything better than having a glass of wine, getting a pedicure, and chatting with a good person.
Hair:
ALEX! I’ve been seeing Alex on and off for about 5 years. When I want my hair cut short and sassy, she is the ONLY person I go to. She’s also great to help you pick out product. Everything she has recommended has worked out 100% to my satisfaction and done exactly what she said it would do. (It never works out when I just try to pick things out on my own.)

Given the good reviews for Blue Mist here and on other sites, I was sure I’d found a great salon. Instead, I found an okay salon.
There was nothing horrible about my visit, but there was nothing special either.
The girl who cut my hair (I’m excluding her name because she did a decent job), was almost rude. I say almost because she didn’t say anything rude, but she did act disinterested and almost like my hair was keeping her from something more interesting. That would be fine if this were some cheap chain of strip mall hair places. However, it is not cheap and they seem to be going for a high-​end salon feel, so I hold them to a higher standard.
I can say the same for the girls at the front desk: just disinterested and a little snooty.
I got an okay haircut, but I’ve had much better and at lower fees.
In all, I just wast impressed and I doubt I’ll return.

I’ve been going to see Malissa for almost 2 years now, after buying a groupon to Blue Mist. She’s great, and has worked with my old hair through several different circumstances (some hair loss, color challenges, etc). The only reason I give Blue Mist Salon four stars is because one of their receptionists was rude to me at one time, although I do know it wasn’t the owner or the pretty blond girl who is usually there. I recommend Malissa!

Wow! I will admit to being a little apprehensive about trying out a new salon. I have very curly hair and often leave a salon with a my hair aggressively straightened, uneven, and cut too short. Not so today. Today I left with beautiful, bouncy, soft, fabulous curls, trimmed to perfection. Jessie was awesome! Great wash with a lovely head and neck massage. I love that the products she recommended (and I bought) are organic and sulfate free.
The salon itself is located in Lone Tree in front of a massive apartment complex. Would be easy to miss if you aren’t looking for it. Surprisingly large on the inside, nice waiting area with coffee and water, 10 or so hair stations and the usual assortment of wash basins and hair dryers. Very clean with a comfortable modern open feel.
I will be back!

I went to Blue Mist for a CND shellac manicure from Pam, and couldn’t have been more pleased.
This was probably due partially due to the fact that the shellac manicure in itself is crazy-​awesome (it lasts basically forever; you just have to get it removed when your nails grow out and it looks odd). However, Pam was awesome. Super fun to talk to, aside from being totally gifted in the realm nail care.
On the whole, I was really impressed with this salon. I was offered wine, water, or some other beverage when I walked in (Surprise! I didn’t realize how accommodating this place was, apparently), and the prices were still totally reasonable.
I most certainly recommend Blue Mist.

Julianna is one of the stylists here and she does an AMAZING job on my (very difficult) hair. I’ve been here a few times since Julianna arrived and have always been treated curteously by the front desk staff. Julianna is well worth the wait for an appointment. She cares about making her clients happy and beautiful. if you need a fantastic cut and/​or color she is the best in Denver that I’ve gone to.
