operations with leading-​edge IT and e-​commerce. With more than 160 years
of experience, APL has the knowledge and the expertise to negotiate the
global seas and international marketplace. APL is a unit of Singapore-​based
Neptune Orient Lines (NOL), global shipping and logistics company.
APL is the seventh largest container shipping line in the world. With more
than 80 weekly services, we service more than 25,000 locations in 140
countries around the world and offer our customers:

Vessels & Equipment
APL has a current fleet of 141 vessels. Between 2011 and 2014, APL will
introduce 32 new ships of 9,200-TEU and larger to its fleet.

Service Reliability
APL places great emphasis on the reliability of all of its services. For the first
of 2012, APL’s on-​time performance on four of our eastbound Trans-​Pacific
service was 97%.
We consider vessels on-​time when they berth within 24 hours of scheduled
arrival.
