The UPS Store

There is a guy who hangs out here who will sexually harass any woman who enters… It isn’t Shawn or Joe, those guys are great, but some other guy who can’t resist making sexually charged comments to any female that has the misfortune of being within his gaze. He goes next door to rock bottom and sexually harasses any woman who comes near him, many times speaking in awful ways to the bartenders thinking they want to hear his absolutely horrid fantasies. Disgusting. He has a puffy red face and is a total jerk and should not be allowed to hang out in the store (it has been brought to my attention that he does not work here, but he is friends with at least one employee who he drinks with next door. I think management should not allow that sort of behavior) The staff is great, but this guy is in the store too often and since the employees hang out with him where they are known, my review stands.

Love this place! They are great. We ship out multiple things a week with them. Jo the owner is great!

Good job as far I’m concerned. No lines at all. Chris saw my book on my hand and gave me the info I wanted straight up before I even had to say a word. Payed my $ 3.25 and was out the door in time to watch the January sun go down.

I’ve had two great experiences here. I went in today at 5, just days before Christmas, and was out in no time. I forgot my wallet, and they packed my massive amount of stuff while I went back home to get it. How nice!
Last time I came to return a book I got on Amazon. The guy was super nice and I was in and out of the store in 5 minutes. It was great.
Parking in the lot is also easy and free for the first 15 minutes.
I definitely like this UPS better than the nearby FedEx for shipping.

I love this UPS! They are always super thorough and definitely know how to help a guest out in a time of stress. Especially sending back books! Joe was super nice to me! He assured me that I could also drop off usps packages at the same store drop off. He was very kind, not like the people working at the regular post office! I will always come here for all my shipping needs!

I have been packaging boxes for shipment with UPS for 25 years.
I’ve never had to file a claim and seldom purchase insurance, as I’ve never needed it.
Recently, I had a package worth $ 1000, purchased the additional insurance, and sent it on the short trip to San Francisco.
Somewhere between this shop and SF, $ 300 in damage was done to my package.
I filed a claim, UPS, despite their claim, didn’t actually OPEN the box to inspect it, and rejected the claim.
UPS passed the buck onto the ups store. I provided an in-​depth statement and half a dozen photos showing 39 dented tins and a crushed box, as well as the bubble wrap and 2“of packing peanuts required by UPS.
CLAIM AGAIN REJECTED
You’d think, a business owner would stand by their service and stand up for their customers.
All the owner suggested was I get insurance.
WHAT THE F*CK IS THAT!!!

Having had a few less than enjoyable experience with UPS (the parent shipping company) I had in the past avoided the UPS brand whenever possible.
I came in to this location today to send a badly damaged iPhone into apple for repairs and was greeted immediately by one of the two gentlemen working, despite them clearly being very busy. I’m an e-​commerce geek so I especially enjoyed the excellent selection of brand name mailing supplies, like the big bright red Manila envelopes I’d been looking for for a while to no avail.
This is a well run and pleasant store! I recommend either this store or the secret (well hidden) line-​free, well stocked, and air conditioned United States post office buried in the world trade annex for all your long beach mailing and shipping needs.
If that’s what you’re into.

Helpful friendly staff! I had to change my shipping address once I sent out the package. The staff jumped it like a cat on a mouse. They changed everything I needed without any extra charge. Thank you english man! I will definitely be going back to this UPS store.

The workers here have poor customer service. Horrible experience, will be opening an account with FEDEX and taking my business there.

Awesome job by the personal at the store they took care of the package i need to deliver in a hurry.

I was in Long Beach this week for a conference. We went to the UPS Store to make some copies, laminate some things and buy some boxes for our trade show display. The customer service guy was very polite as he answered our questions and helped us out.
However, when the owner came out, our experience was over the top. Not only did he provide great suggestions for eating but he helped us get our stuff to the show, he visited us during the show to confirm we had our needs met, and contacted us on the last day of the show again. His business is normal UPS stuff but his service is spectacular!
I highly recommend using the services of this store for anyone exhibiting at the LB Conference Center (which is also only a block away)!

Love this store. I never have any issues, they are always helpful, accommodating, friendly and know my name. Some things cost a bit more verses the regular Post Office but with the attention and service you get, this is a far better way to go in stead of the old tired Post Office. But you can still use them like the post office if you want pay and mail someting using the office rate for most things too.

Well over a year later and I can now say the bald guy with the goatee is Shon! lol. He seems to work almost every evening shift and I love it. He’s always super friendly, and since I do have to go in regularly it’s been cool. He knows me by name and remembers my mailbox number so often even if it’s busy he can grab my stuff real quick. Definitely happy with this place!
Oh, and cause i’m stupid. I had no idea for like 8 months that you can actually just park inside the building for 20 minutes for free, and if you need more time they’ll validate you for 20 more. Also the Wells Fargo validates for 2 hours.

I went here once before, and it was awful. But I’m guessing they have since renovated and hired better staff, because my experience today was nothing short of pleasant.
The guys who work here are friendly and super helpful. I just wanted to give them a nice shout out, they deserve it.

If I could leave zero stars I absolutely would.
I wonder if they know how much cardboard costs to manufacture. There’s no way because if they did they wouldn’t charge eight dollars for one box.
In what world should one box cost eight dollars?!
I’m 99% sure I was overcharged but being that I needed the boxes immediately I had no choice other to pay the ridiculous prices.
I will never, EVER step foot in the store again. I can assure you.

NEVER EVER leave your packages if the British middle age guy is there!!! He will just toss it as if it was trash to the ground, he manages packages with such disrespect even they are labeled as very fragile or if you mention that there is fragile contents inside.
Seriously avoid it at all cost

This is such a pleasant UPS location. Nothing but pleasant experiences. The service that is provided by the management and staff are always friendly and efficient. Packages are sent on time, very informative and looking our for my best interest with my shipping needs… You will find whatever you need for your shipment, they have a full range of boxes, packing materials and shipping options or they will do it for you with no hassle.
Go check them out… you wont be sorry!!!

Setup our mailbox nearly 3 years ago at this UPS store — Joe, the owner is great and definately goes above and beyond with any queries problems etc. Sarah & staff are always helpful and courteous.
Would not hesitate to recomend this store…

I use this location for a UPS box and have been using it a few years now. I only have great things to say about this location and ownership.
UPS stores are abundant, so what sets this one apart from others is the helpful staff that makes the whole process such a breeze.
