Brockman Properties

Overall a decent and reasonable rental company in regards to value. Renting from them for 3 years and they solved most of the issues with the apartment itself however they didn’t seem to care much about noise pollution caused by there other tenants and took about 20% more than was fair in regards to my deposit. Beware of parking in some of the areas they have units!

I have had the wonderful opportunity to rent from Brockman Properties for the last 8 years.
I think it is about time to give them a shout out!
First of all thanks to the whole team at Brockman: Jill, Yadhira, Andy, Mike, for a wonderful 8 years and a great place to come home to each day!
I haven’t had many repairs over the years, but just this week I had a couple of things come up and I must say the speed and detail that was taken to get the work done (Thank you Andy) was amazing. I thought one of these repairs would be pretty time consuming yet it was done, complete, no muss, no fuss in less than an hour! I am impressed, always have been, just thought it was about time I gave them the kudos they deserve!

I’m surprised that this company thinks they can get away with treating people so poorly. They are definitely not in touch with the value of the Internet and reviews these days. Basically, don’t rent or use brockman to rent your property. Bad customer service and bad attitudes. Seem nice at first. Then once you’re involved with them they change. Not to mention non stop voicemail when you call. They don’t answer the phone.

my roommate and i have been renting from brockman for a full year now and i cannot stress how in love with the team i am! prior to renting from bp i personally rented from pabst kinney and my roomie and i rented long term from a better property (such a joke that that’s their name cuz to date i have not found a worse company to deal with).
the brockman office team (comprised of two incredibly kind and professional women)?are spectacular! any concerns or questions we have had have been dealt with within 24 hours… we pretty much always get a call back same day.
having a friendly and caring landlord or property management company makes ALL the difference in the world and i HIGHLY RECOMMEND BROCKMAN!

Ok, I have dealt with 4 long beach property management companies, Belmont Brokerage, Ernst and Haas, Pabst Kinney, and Brockman, Brockman takes the cake as the best of those 4. Some of the things took a tad getting used to, such as their deposits tend to be a tad bit higher than other companies, they want a full first months rent at signing, not a prorated portion of that if your not signing on the first. No apartment is perfect, and we got our issues, such as parking, etc. but they didn’t build the apartment, they just manage it. The main thing that I love about them, they treat you with respect, and they are lenient about paying rent on the first, which is very important cause I had an accident, and I got behind on rent, and they let me get caught up, and I am not someone who slides on that stuff, but I almost cried when I realized I wasn’t gonna be able to make rent, and they were like no problem.

Brockman Properties rents out apartments all over the Long Beach area. We have been renting with them for almost 2 years now and here is what I love:
There is no contract so our rent is month-​to-​month (a big plus!) I’ve lived in apartments where water wasn’t included in what they pay for and it can get pretty steep, so thankfully it’s included here. Also, the maintenance guy, Mike, is always on top of things so when we need a fixed window screen or garage door, he’s always on top of it right away.
Cons: No pets allowed, sometimes when you call them to have something fixed, it can take up to 2 days (twice this has happened) for them to get back to you. Also, we’ve had bikes stolen before (twice) in our garage and when I called to let them know so they could possibly «beef up» the security in our complex, they did not call back or make any adjustments (at least notify all the tenants to let them know personal property was recently stolen so keep an eye out).
The staff is very friendly and not as strict (rent is due on the 1^st or else!) which is probably why the tenants in my complex have stayed for years and not wanted to move out. Overall, we are pretty pleased with them!
